Search of National Identity in the Family of Volyn Nobleman, Carl von Grodzinskiy (Early 20th Century)

У статті досліджено питання українського націотворення як феномену усвідомленого обрання культурних ознак середовища, у якому мешкає людина, за власну національну ідентифікацію. Феномен розглянуто на прикладі життя родини російського дворянина польського походження Карла фон Ґродзінського з Волині, діти котрого розділилися в обранні національності: двоє вважали себе росіянами з підкресленим несприйняттям усього українського, інші двоє - українцями з уразливими почуттями щодо російської й польської національної зверхності.The article is devoted to the issue of the Ukrainian nation-building as consciousness choice phenomenon of environment cultural features, where a person lives for its own national identification. The phenomenon is studied on the example of Russian nobleman family with Polish background, Carl von Grodzinskiy, from Volyn. His children chose different nationalities - two of them were Russian, they didn’t like anything connected with Ukraine, another two were Ukrainians with sensitive feelings towards Russian and Polish national supremacy

Методика проведення експериментально-фонетичного дослідження фоностилістичної домінанти озвучених художніх текстів

Стаття присвячена методиці проведення експериментально-фонетичного дослідження озвучених художніх текстів, а саме: байки. Описується послідовність етапів проведеного експерименту, наводяться завдання аудиторів-інформантів та аудиторів-фонетистів, а також сегментні параметри, які досліджувалися під час акустичного аналізу. (The article is devoted to the methods of experimental phonetic study of pronounced texts, namely fable. The sequence of steps of the experiment is described, the task of auditors-informants and auditors-phoneticians and segmental parameters that were studied during acoustic analysis are given.

Design of elastomeric shock absorbers with a “soft” stiffness characteristics of type “force-settlement”

In the design of vibration isolator it is often required to ensure a reduction or increase of the value of frequency ηr, which is associated with the ability to calculate the stiffness characteristics of elastomeric vibration isolator in the final low- and medium-level deformations. A similar problem arises in the design of equi-frequent rubber-metal compensating devices, which find application in various fields of engineering and construction industries, effectively replacing the hydro/pneumo-spring compensating devices, working under axial stress-strain. In this case, the stiffness characteristic of “force-settlement” P = P(∆), even for small final deformations, will be non-linear (or piecewise linear). In this paper we propose a method for determination of rigidity dependence of “force-settlement” for shock-absorbing elements with absolutely rigid moving (parallel to the vertical axis z) vertical side stops being under pressure, which allows to take into account low compressibility of material of rubber layers. Obtained solutions can be used for establishing the dependence “force-settlement” for cylindrical shock absorbers during their design stage. Thereby it is possible to design a shock absorber with a given non-linear (“hard” or “soft”) stiffness characteristics

Projecting elastomeric shock absorbers with variable stiffness

"Over the past 20-30 years, usage of specific properties of rubber (high elasticity, resistance to environmental influences, good dynamic performance, low compressibility, nearly linear stress-strain relationship for strains of up to 15% ÷ 20%) enabled development of shock absorbers with nonlinear characteristics ""force - settlement"". The paper proposes a method of calculation of a cylindrical rubber shock absorber cords with hard side stops by considering weak compressibility of rubber. The solution is obtained by applying Ritz method and using the principle of the minimum complete potential energy of deformation. Obtained solutions can be used to find the dependence of „force - settlement” for cylindrical shock absorbers, as well as in design of such shock absorbers. This is required when developing a shock absorber with a given non-linear stiffness characteristics

Joseph Stalin’s Plans Concerning Central Eastern Europe After the Second World War

У статті висвітлено погляди Йосипа Сталіна на облаштування Центрально-Східної Європи після Другої світової війни як «поясу безпеки радянської держави» по західному й балканському периметру. Наголошено, що, формуючи «сферу впливу», СРСР звернувся до концепції безпеки, заснованої на розширенні території; отже, «сфера впливу» й «зона безпеки», у розумінні Сталіна, були рівноцінними поняттями. Констатується про формування чіткого орієнтиру на створення сталінської моделі організації суспільств 1947-1948 рр.The article is devoted to Joseph Stalin's views on Central Eastern Europe development after the Second World War as «the security belt of Soviet state» along Western and Balkan perimeter. It is stressed on the fact that during “influence sphere” formation, the USSR recoursed to security concept, established on territorial extension. It means that «security sphere»and «security area» in Stalin’s opinion were different concepts. It is stated on the formation of clear orientation in creation of Stalin’s model society organization from 1947-1948
