De facto, é muito importante que as organizações sejam capazes de ter uma comunicação clara e transparente com todos os cidadãos, de modo a respeitar o direito fundamental do acesso à informação. Contudo, este continua a ser um problema no contexto organizacional atual, neste caso específico, nas instituições financeiras que utilizam uma linguagem opaca e complexa na sua comunicação, sendo percecionadas como pouco transparentes pelos consumidores. Torna-se, portanto, importante que estas instituições consigam inverter esta tendência, sendo capazes de construir uma melhor reputação, de forma a ganhar de novo a confiança dos seus públicos. É neste sentido que se torna fundamental olhar para a questão da cidadania corporativa que, para além de estar a ganhar cada vez mais importância na atividade das empresas, tem-se mostrado como um importante elemento na construção da reputação das organizações e, consequentemente, da confiança dos consumidores. Desta forma, a presente dissertação tem como objetivo, através de uma investigação empírica, compreender se e como a questão da linguagem clara está a ser encarada em algumas instituições financeiras. Do mesmo modo, pretende-se compreender que tipo de ações e medidas estas instituições incluem na sua política de cidadania corporativa, procurando perceber se a linguagem clara já é considerada como parte desta política.ABSTRACT : Plain language has been discussed for decades, but it is now that the importance and utility of this concept in the organisational context is truly starting to be understood. In fact, it is very important that organisations are able of communicating clearly and transparently with all the citizens, in order to respect the fundamental right of access to information. However, this is still a problem in the current organisational set-up. In this case, we are specifically referring to the financial institutions that use a complex and inscrutable language in their communication, being, therefore, perceived as non-transparent by the consumers. Thus, it is very important for these institutions to reverse this trend and improve their reputation, so as to regain their audiences’ trust. In this sense, it is essential to consider corporate citizinship as part of the equation. Corporate citizenship is not only becoming increasingly important in the business activity, but it has also proven to be an important element in building the reputation of organisations and, consequently, the consumers’ confidence. Having said that, through an empirical research, this dissertation aims to understand if plain language is already a concern for the financial institutions and, if so, how it has been perceived by these organisations. Likewise, we aim to understand what kind of actions and measures these institutions include in their corporate citizenship policy, aiming to comprehend whether plain language is also already considered as part of this policy.N/

Study of the applicability of fe nanotubes as an anode material of lithium-ion batteries

The paper presents the results of the use of iron nanotubes as the anode material of lithiumion batteries. To assess the degradation of the morphology of nanostructures after different numbers of cycles of life tests, the method of scanning electron microscopy, Mossbauer spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction analysis were applied. It is shown that the decrease in discharge capacity starts at the 380th cycle and is caused by the onset of degradation processes of nanostructures due to the formation of amorphous inclusions and an increase in macrostresses and distortions in the structure. The complete degradation of the structure is observed after the 492nd life cycle test. According to the data obtained by Mossbauer spectroscopy, it has been established that an increase in life cycles leads to an increase in contribution of partial spectrum characteristic of a paramagnetic state. That indicates an increase in degradation rate of nanostructures and an increase in the content of impurity inclusions and amorphous formations in the crystal structure. © 2019, Electromagnetics Academy.
