Using a novel approach in homoleptic nitrate chemistry, Sn(NO3)62− (3c) as well as the previously unknown hexanitrato complexes Si(NO3)62− (1c), Ge(NO3)62− (2c) were synthesized from the element tetranitrates as salt-like compounds which were isolated and characterized using 1H, 14N, and 29Si NMR and IR spectroscopies, elemental and thermal analyses, and single-crystal XRD. All hexanitrates are moderately air-sensitive at 298 K and possess greater thermal stability toward NO2 elimination than their charge-neutral tetranitrato congeners as solids and in solution. The complexes possess distorted octahedral coordination skeletons and adopt geometries that are highly symmetric (3c) or deformed (1c, 2c) depending on the degree of steric congestion of the ligand sphere. As opposed to the κ2O,O′ coordination mode reported for Sn(NO3)4 previously,1 all nitrato ligands of 3c coordinate in κ1O mode. Six geometric isomers of E(NO3)62− were identified as minima on the PES using DFT calculations at the B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p) level of which two were observed experimentally

The approximate conformal mapping of a disk onto domain with an acute angle

The method of boundary curve reparametrization is applied to construction of the approximate analytical conformal mapping of the unit disk onto an arbitrary given finite domain with a boundary smooth at every point but fininte number of acute angle points. The method is based on both the Fredholm equation solution and spline-interpolation. This approach consists of approximate solution of a linear system with unknown Fourier coefficients and construction of correction splines. The approximate mapping function has the form of a Cauchy integral. The method presentation is supported by demonstration of some examples. This method is applicable to the case of multiply connected domains with boundary angle points.Comment: Accepted for publication in IJACM 11.01.2

Internet News Headlines: Ontological and Orthological Aspects

    Get PDF
The author presents the results of a multidimensional analysis of Internet news headlines based on the headings of the Yandex news aggregator. The issue of the text status of news headlines is considered. When solving this problem, special attention is paid to the formation of correlative paradigms of headings, united by a common denotative meaning. Methods of semantic interaction of heading paradigms based on different types of topic-rhematic deployment are described. It is proved that the paradigms of headings, complementing each other in informational and pragmatic aspects, form the discourse of Internet headings. It is concluded that this way of functioning of headlines enhances their semantic and visual autonomy from the news text, which allows us to consider Internet news headlines as minitext. The frequency methods of lexico-syntactic transformations of the original headings are analyzed, on the basis of which the constituents of paradigms are formed. At the same time, attention is focused on the orthological aspect of Internet headers. The author comes to the conclusion that the focus on the variability and efficiency of headings leads not only to the appearance of lexical and grammatical errors, but also to their replication and consolidation in the mind of the addressee as a result of changes in the structure of cognitive models

Intrahepatic Cholestasis in Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease: Pathogenesis and Role of Ademetionine in Treatment

    Get PDF
Aim: to evaluate features of intrahepatic cholestasis (IHC) pathogenesis in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), as well as role of ademetionine in treatment of this condition.Key statements. NAFLD is the most frequent chronic diffuse liver disease. Increase in proportion of people with excess weight, obesity, and metabolic dysregulation leads to higher rates of NAFLD. Concomitant IHC is present in 30 % of NAFLD patients, while it is associated with more active disease course and possible worsening of prognosis. Impairment of adipocyte and hepatocyte metabolism, gut dysbiosis, and inherent factors are recognized as significant factors for NAFLD development. In NAFLD patients most of IHC cases are related to functional cholestasis. IHC in NAFLD is associated with increased risks of fibrosis and all-cause death. Ademetionine may restore transmethylation and improve rheologic properties of hepatocyte membranes in liver disease. In IHC patients treatment with ademetionine led to decreased serum bilirubin concentrations, as well as lowering of the liver transaminases' and alkaline phosphatase activities. At the same time improvement of symptoms severity, including itching, was noted. Taking into account the efficacy of ademetionine in IHC in NAFLD patients, its' use was included in the national clinical guidelines.Conclusion. Use of ademetionine in NAFLD with concomitant IHC is feasible from pathogenesis perspective and may be effective in clinical practice

The solution of a mixed boundary value problem for the Laplace equation in a multiply connected domain

    Get PDF
Here we apply the Cauchy integral method for the Laplace equation in multiply connected domains when the data on each boundary component has the form of the Dirichlet condition or the form of the Neumann condition. This analytic method gives highly accurate results. We give examples of applications of the method

The exact solution of a shock wave reflection problem from a wall shielded by a gas suspension layer

    Get PDF
The paper is devoted to solving the shockwave reflection problem from a wall shielded by a gas suspension layer. The dynamics of the gas suspension are described in a two-speed two-temperature formulation. In contrast to the known approximate models of dusty gas based on the application of classical self-similar solutions by correcting gas dynamic parameters and physical constants, an asymptotically exact solution is obtained. The analytical solution to the problem is constructed in the form of a composition of elementary decays discontinuities. The nonequilibrium solution converges to the exact one with a decrease in the characteristic times of dynamic and thermal relaxation of the carrier gas and suspended particles of arbitrary concentration. Calculations based on the nonequilibrium model are performed by the hybrid large-particle method of the second-order approximation in space and time. Both for the exact and calculate profiles of the relative values of the pressure and density of the mixture, the normalized velocity of the dispersed phase obtained from the nonequilibrium model are given. The influence of the intensity of the incident shock wave, as well as the concentration of particles in the gas suspension layer on the parameters of the impact of the shock wave pulse on the wall, is studied. The presence of a shielding layer leads to an increase in the reflection pressure from the wall compared to the reflection of the shock wave in a pure gas. The analysis of the influence of the relaxation properties of the gas suspension layer with a change in particle sizes from 1 to 8 μm is carried out. For sufficiently small particles of 1 micron and the accepted scales of the problem, the nonequilibrium solution reproduces the shock-wave structure well and corresponds to the asymptotics. With the increase in the size of dispersed inclusions, the spatial relaxation zones, smoothing the profiles of the parameters, increase. The error in calculating the velocity and other parameters for a nonequilibrium gas suspension with particles of 1 μm compared to the exact solution is in the range from 10–7 to 10–5. The results obtained are of practical importance in substantiating the influence of inert particle impurities on the dynamic loading of structures. The analytical solution to the problem may be in demand when testing various numerical schemes
