Paper represents the results of SO2 sensing performance of BaTiO3 surface modified by nano silver. Surface modification was performed by dipping of BaTiO3 thick films in the synthesized nano silver. The main objective was to investigate the effect of nano silver on gas sensing performance of BaTiO3 perovskite. Different intervals of dipping time were used to find the optimum dipping amount on the surface of perovskite oxide. Synthesized silver was characterized by UV-visible spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy. Surface modified thick films were analyzed for structural, morphological, electrical and gas sensing properties by XRD, SEM with EDX, static gas sensing unit respectively. Selectivity of surface modified BaTiO3 thick films was also investigated

The present study was carried out to find out the preliminary phytochemical properties, anticonvulsant and sedative activities of the petroleum ether, ethyl acetate and ethanol extract of Carissa carandas leaves. The standard methods were used to screen the preliminary photochemicals present in petroleum ether, ethyl acetate and ethanol extracts of Carissa carandas leaves. The anticonvulsant efficacy of the extracts was determined using pentylenetetrazole (PTZ) in experimental animal models using diazepam as standard drug and the sedative effect was evaluated using pentobarbitone that induced sleep in mice. The efficacy of the extracts was compared against the standard drug Diazepam .The preliminary phytochemical investigation shows presence of alkaloids, glycoside, tannins, terpins . The crude extracts of ethanolic, ethyl acetate and petroleum ether at a dose 400 mg/kg has been found to significantly reduce the extensor and stupor and offer protection against convulsion induced by PTZ. The petroleum ether, ethyl acetate and ethanolic extract found to be non significant at a dose of 100 mg/kg in flexion. It is seen that the crude extracts of ethanolic, ethyl acetate and petroleum ether Of Carissa carandas leaves significantly (p < 0.05) prolonged the time of sodium pentobarbital-induced hypnosis. However, the animal study revealed that the anticonvulsant and sedative activities of Carissa carandas can be used in the treatment of epilepsy. Key words- Carissa carandas, anticonvulsant, pentobarbitone, hypnosis, epilepsy. &nbsp

Background: Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is the most frequent endocrinological disorder affecting 5-10% of women in the reproductive age. This prevalence ranging from 2.2% to 26% in adult women from 18-45 year. In a recent study the prevalence of a confirmed diagnosis of PCOS in adolescents aged 10 to 19 years was 5-15%, which increased to 10-22%. When undiagnosed cases with documented symptoms qualifying for PCOS according to NIH (National institute of Health) criteria were included. PCOS is a complex endocrine disorder which is most common in women of reproductive age. PCOS may first present in adolescence, but the incidence of PCOS in adolescence is not known, as diagnostic criteria for PCOS in the adolescent age-group is still not defined, PCOS symptoms tend to overlap with normal pubertal changes making the diagnosis even more challenging. The objective is to study prevalence and symptomatology of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in adolescent girls. Methods: Prospective Cross sectional study between April 2018 and March 2019. 150 adolescent girls aged 10 to 19 years attending OPD with oligomenorrhea, irregular menstrual cycle, obesity and/or hirsutism were advised for biochemical, hormonal, and ultrasonographic evaluation for diagnosis of PCOS on the basis of Rotterdam's criteria at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Deemed University, Karad, Maharashtra, India. Results: Prevalence of PCOS in the study was 17.33% in the study group. Conclusions: PCOS is increasingly encountered during adolescence, although the overall prevalence is low and evaluation of PCOS in adolescents is challenging. At this age, lifestyle modification is imperative to prevent long-term metabolic and reproductive complications

The aim of the present research is to formulate a microemulsion containing miconazole nitrate as it provides various advantages over conventional dosage form. It also put forward the idea for the formulation of microemulsion containing miconazole nitrate with the use of varying surfactant and co- surfactants with an objective to increase the better drug loading, high transparency, high thermodynamic stability, better bioavailability and ease of preparation. Miconazole nitrate is hydrophobic imidazole antifungal agent. The studies show that it is highly effective in the topical treatment of fungal infections. Due to the presence of both lipophilic and hydrophilic domains, a wide range of lipophilic and hydrophilic domains are incorporated in these systems

Building Information Modeling (BIM) Process and Assessment methods

The construction sector has seen the potential of Building Information Modeling (BIM) to assist a transformation in the design and construction processes. The use of BIM throughout a building project for quality control and effective information use has received very little investigation, even though it can improve design quality by reducing dispute and rework. The promise of BIM application in quality management rests in its capacity to offer multi-dimensional data including design data and time sequence due to the compatibility of design data with quality and construction process with quality control. An evolutionary method of transforming the entire building process is the 5D BIM approach. This paper introduces BIM as a strong instrument for "model analysis, detection of clashes, simulation and evaluation." In addition, BIM offers a digital machine-readable representation of building data and various other processes to enhance design, development, operating processes and boost life-cycle building functions

Formulation and evaluation of econazole nitrate microemulsion

Econazole Nitrate microemulsion is presently considered as the novel drug delivery system. It shows prolonged action. It is considered as the imidazole antifungal agent which shows broad spectrum activity. Antifungal agent contains the lipophilic groups which are administered in the microemulsions as they are able to penetrate the system easily. It belongs to BCS Class II drug. i.e., low soluble and highly permeable. The drug efficacy of topical formulation is limited to instability due to poor solubility and low permeability. These are the basic reasons which increase the scope for designing of microemulsion. The topical microemulsion containing Econazole Nitrate prepared using oleic acid as the oil phase, tween 20 as surfactant and propylene glycol as co- surfactant. The optimized formulation B1 was evaluated for various tests such as Particle size, Zeta potential, pH, Viscosity, Scanning electron microscopy and Electrical conductivity

532-539The difficulty in obtaining high quality proteins from recalcitrant plant species like grape (Vitis vinifera L.) is mainly due to low concentration of proteins, high activity of proteases and high level of interfering compounds, such as, pigments, polyphenols, tannins, flavonoids etc. Utilization of 2-dimentional electrophoresis (2DE) technique in proteome analysis largely depends on more efficient and optimized preparation of samples, which is regarded as one of the most important step for obtaining reliable information on proteins. In the present study, four different previously published protein extraction protocols and commercial protein extraction kits were compared to identify the most suitable protocol for protein extraction from different grape tissues, such as, leaves, buds, clusters and berries. Of the five protocols compared, resolution of protein in 1st dimension and 2nd dimension gel was improved with modified trichloro acetic acid/acetone precipitation with phenol extraction method. This method also yielded higher protein concentration, greater spot resolution with minimal streaking on 2DE gels of grape leaf protein. The same protocol also yielded higher quality protein from other grape tissues, such as, buds, berries and roots. Thus modified tricholoro acetic acid/acetone precipitation with phenol extraction method will be suitable for proteome analysis of different grapevine tissues

The aim of the following research is to formulate a microemulsion containing drug Griseofulvin. Griseofulvin is an antifungal agent which inhibits the mitosis. It is recommended orally for treatment of fungal disease. It is used to treat skin infections such as jock itch, athletes foot and ringworm. Also it is used to treat the fungal infections of scalp, toenails and fingernails. Griseofulvin is a BCS II class drug. It is highly lipophilic poorly soluble drug with low oral bioavailability. The present aim was to increase the solubility by microemulsion system for topical delivery. Microemulsions are clear, stable and isotropic liquid. They show advantages such as spontaneous preparation, scale up, ease of preparation, improving drug solubility of hydrophobic drugs. It is also used to increase the bioavailability of drug. These also aim at controlling the bioavailability of various drug molecules. The review put forward the development in microemulsion containing system. They improve solubility, chemical stability and oral bioavailability of poorly water soluble drugs. There is formulation of four different batches. The batches differ in quantity of surfactant and co- surfactants
