To the question of the interpolation of the phase equilibrium curves for the hydrates of methane and carbon dioxide

The experimental data base was developed. This database includes 200 points of the phase equilibrium curve of methane hydrate, as well as more than 300 experimental points for carbon dioxide hydrate. This database is based on the work of a large number of researchers. Taking into account the experimental data, empirical formulas are constructed for determining the equilibrium parameters of the methane and carbon dioxide hydrates, as well as the equilibrium curve of ā€œliquid carbon dioxide ā€“ gaseous carbon dioxideā€

Information System As a Factor Determining the Development Vector of Modern Education

The information system is considered one of the paradigmatic coordinates of modern education. It is noted that education is one of the most important factors contributing to the successful solution of problems related to globalization, allowing us forming a citizenā€™s stable personal potential and selfā€“defense skills of the latter as a carrier of certain cultural values in the information flow. The aim of the research is to study the information role in modern culture and in modern education. It should be noted that culture as a process of accumulation and translation of social experience determines the society progress and its intellectual and spiritual sphere. Education is the main socio-cultural mechanism that society uses to purposefully influence the course of its development. Education provides information and historical continuity of generations and security of continuity of this process. The research has revealed the importance of the information system in culture as a factor that is decisive in the modern education entire set of components formation. The information society is a civilization in the basis of the development and existence of which is a special non-material substance, conventionally referred to as ā€œinformationā€. This substance interacts with a personā€™s spiritual and material worlds. The latter is especially important for understanding the essence of the new social order. On the one hand, information forms the material side of a personā€™s life, as it acts as innovative technologies, computer programs, etc., on the other hand, it is one of the main means of interpersonal relationships and spiritual representations, which can be dynamically transformed and interpreted. Information begins to determine both the material existence and the socioā€“cultural reality of a person at the same time. The study has fixed that in the conditions of the information society, the most important task is to prepare a person for the perception and processing of large amounts of information, for mastering modern means, methods and technology of working with information. Reflection of acoustic waves from the boundary or layer of two-phase medium

The inclined incidence of the acoustic wave on a layer of gas-droplet mixture or bubbly liquid of finite thickness is theoretically investigated. In the case of the incidence of the low-frequency acoustic wave to interface between the pure gas and aerosol or to interface between pure liquid and bubbly liquid the basic laws of reflection and transmission of a wave are established. This circumstance allows us to evaluate the transmission and reflection coefficients, depending on the volume content of inclusions and the angle of incidence of the acoustic wave. In particular, for the interface between pure gas and aerosol analytical expressions of the critical angle of wave incidence at which reflection coefficient becomes zero are obtained, i.e. thus there is a complete passage of the acoustic wave through the interface. It is established that the increase of the angle of incidence of the acoustic wave on the boundary or layer of aerosol causes: first, either to increase or to decrease of the reflection coefficient at low frequencies, and second, to appearance of additional minima depending on the reflection coefficient from frequency of disturbances related to the difference of speed of sound and density of the medium

Reflection and Transmission of Acoustic Waves through the Layer of Multifractional Bubbly Liquid

The mathematical model that determines reflection and transmission of acoustic wave through a medium containing multifractioanl bubbly liquid is presented. For the water-water with bubbles-water model the wave reflection and transmission coefficients are calculated. The influence of the bubble layer thickness on the investigated coefficients is shown. The theory compared with the experiment. It is shown that the theoretical results describe and explain well the available experimental data. It is revealed that the special dispersion and dissipative properties of the layer of bubbly liquid can significantly influence on the reflection and transmission of acoustic waves in multilayer mediu

    Proportional-Derivative Control of Stick-Slip Oscillations in Drill-Strings

    Get PDF
Stick-slip oscillation in drill-string is a universal phenomenon in oil and gas drilling. It could lead to the wear of drill bit, even cause catastrophic failure of drill-strings and measurement equipment. Therefore, it is crucial to study drilling parameters and develop appropriate control method to suppress such oscillation. This paper studies a discrete model of the drill-string system taking into account torsional degree-of-freedom, drill-string damping, and highly nonlinear friction of rock-bit interaction. In order to suppress the stick-slip oscillation, a new proportional-derivative controller, which can maintain drill bitā€™s rotation at a constant speed, is developed. Numerical results are given to demonstrate its efficacy and robustness

Numerical research of the gas hydrate dissociation to gas and Ice in a reservoir during the gas extraction

    No full text
The peculiarities of the gas hydrate decomposition to gas and ice during the gas extraction from the porous medium initially saturated with methane and its hydrate are studied. It is shown that at a negative initial reservoir temperature, the gas hydrate decomposition always occurs with the formation of ice either on the frontal surface or in the extended region. It is established that the extended region of hydrate dissociation is characteristic for large values of the mass flow rate of the gas extraction
