La comunicación política en tiempos de crisis: una comparación entre Italia y España
The present situation of economic crisis soon enough entailed a state of political crisis as well. Citizens are losing their faith in the political parties and the institutions who should safeguard them. When comparing Italy and Spain, it is easy to observe a number of similarities between the two countries: the economical crisis brought the birth of two political parties whose subtle and skillful exploitation of means of communication gave rise to their considerable popularity. Podemos and Movimento 5Stelle could be considered as representatives of a proper revolutionary approach to media and communication systems.

Learning and Production in the Explanation of Regularization Behaviour: aComputational Model
We propose a computational model to account for the regularization behaviour that characterizes language learning andthat has emerged from experimental studies, specifically from concurrent multiple frequency learning tasks (Ferdinand,2015). These experiments show that learners regularize the input frequencies they observe, suggesting that domain-generalfactors might underlie regularization behaviour. Standard models have failed to capture this pattern, so we explore theconsequences of adding a production bias that follows the learning stage in a probabilistic model of frequency learning. We simulate and fit to experimental data a beta-binomial Bayesian sampler model, which allows an explicit quantificationof both the learning and the production bias. Our results reveal that adding a production component to the model leadsto a better fit to data. Given our results, we hypothesize that linguistic regularization may result from general-domainconstraints on learning combined to biases in production, which need not to be considered innate
A review of LCA assessments of forest-based bioeconomy products and processes under an ecosystem services perspective
The emergence of politically driven bioeconomy strategies worldwide calls for considering the ecological issues associated with bio-based products. Traditionally, life cycle analysis (LCA) approaches are key tools used to assess impacts through product life cycles, but they present limitations regarding the accounting of multiple ecosystem service-related issues, at both the land-use and supply chain levels. Based on a systematic review of empirical articles, this study provides insights on using LCA assessments to account for ecosystem service-related impacts in the context of bioeconomy activities. We address the following research questions: what is the state of the art of the literature performing LCA assessments of forest-based bioeconomy activities, including the temporal distribution, the geographic areas and products/processes at study, and the approaches and methods used? 2. Which impacts and related midpoints are considered by the reviewed studies and what types of ecosystem service- related information do they bear? Out of over 600 articles found through the Scopus search, 155 were deemed relevant for the review. The literature focuses on North-America and Europe. Most of the articles assessed the environmental impact of lower-value biomass uses. Climate change was assessed in over 90% of the studies, while issues related to ozone, eutrophication, human toxicity, resource depletion, acidification, and environmental toxicity were assessed in 40% to 60% of the studies. While the impact categories accounted for in the reviewed LCA studies bear information relevant to certain provisioning and regulating services, several ecosystem services (especially cultural ones) remain unaccounted for. The implications of our study are relevant for professionals working in the ecosystem services, circular bioeconomy, and/or LCA communities. (C) 2019 The Authors.

Fate and transport of ten plant protection products of emerging concern in a coastal lagoon: application and evaluation of a multimedia level III fugacity model
Multimedia fugacity models are effective tools for studying the environmental behaviour and occurrence of contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) and assessing associated risks, especially when experimental data is limited. These models describe processes controlling chemical partitioning, transport, and reactions in environmental media using mathematical statements based on the concept of fugacity.
To aid in identifying and prioritizing CECs for future local monitoring, we present here the application of a level III multimedia fugacity model assuming non-equilibrium between compartments and steady-state conditions. This model estimated predicted environmental concentrations (PECs), persistence, distribution, and transport of ten plant protection products (PPPs) in the Venice Lagoon, a complex coastal environment under high anthropogenic pressure.
The model was evaluated through uncertainty and sensitivity analysis using the Monte Carlo approach and by comparing PECs with PPP concentrations measured during four sampling campaigns. Results showed good agreement with field data, with the highest concentrations in water and sediments estimated for glyphosate, followed by imidacloprid, metaflumizone, and triallate. The model indicated accumulation of all investigated PPPs in sediments. For most chemicals, advection outflow and degradation in the water column were the main removal mechanisms, while volatilization was significant only for oxadiazon and triallate.
Sensitivity and uncertainty analysis revealed that degradation rates, organic carbon/water partitioning coefficients (KOC), and parameters describing air-water interactions had the strongest influence on the model’s results, followed by inputs accounting for sediment sinking and resuspension. The lack of data on PPP degradation in brackish waters accounted for most of the uncertainty in model results.
This work shows how a relatively simple multimedia model can offer new insights into the environmental behaviour of PPPs in a complex transitional waterbody such as the Venice lagoon, providing useful data for the identification of the CECs to be prioritised in future local monitoring efforts
