Advanced Exergy Analysis in the Dynamic Framework for Assessing Building Thermal Systems

    Get PDF
This work applies the Dynamic Advanced Exergy Analysis (DAEA) to a heating and domestic hot water (DHW) facility supplied by a Stirling engine and a condensing boiler. For the first time, an advanced exergy analysis using dynamic conditions is applied to a building energy system. DAEA provides insights on the components’ exergy destruction (ED) by distinguishing the inefficiencies that can be prevented by improving the quality (avoidable ED) and the ones constrained because of technical limitations (unavoidable ED). ED is related to the inherent inefficiencies of the considered element (endogenous ED) and those coming from the interconnections (exogenous ED). That information cannot be obtained by any other approach. A dynamic calculation within the experimental facility has been performed after a component characterization driven by a new grey-box modelling technique, through TRNSYS and MATLAB. Novel solutions and terms of ED are assessed for the rational implementation of the DAEA in building energy installations. The influence of each component and their interconnections are valuated in terms of exergy destruction for further diagnosis and optimization purposes.BMWi, 03ET1218B, Anwendung exergiebasierter Methoden zur Verbesserung von Gebäudeenergiesysteme

Background: The present study aimed to investigate and explain the criteria for the feasibility of deploying an organizational roadmap in line with organizational entrepreneurship. Methods: In the qualitative section, using the Delphi technique, experts’ opinion about the designed questionnaire to identify the indices and status was obtained and then using the exploratory method, the model was designed. In the quantitative section, a descriptive-survey method and a researcher-made tool were used to measure its external effectiveness. The statistical population of the first group consisted of selected experts and academics that 21 respondents answered the questionnaire. The statistical population of the second group consisted of managers of municipalities and their deputies in 15 different districts of Isfahan municipality who were a total of 240 people. Based on the sampling method, 144 individuals were surveyed. Questionnaires were distributed in the same number of the statistical population and 203 questionnaires were collected at the end. After editing, coding, and entering the data, descriptive and inferential statistics methods and LISREL8.5, SPSS21, and Excel2013 were used to analyze the data. Results: Indicators of organizational entrepreneurship introduced as agility, flexibility, innovation, opportunism, and low cost were approved by experts. Indicators of roadmap design including technical, economic, legal, operational, and temporal ones were approved by experts. Conclusion: Mayors' use of entrepreneurship and creative ideas, in addition to urban development, prevents excess costs and time and waste of government facilities and achieves urban development goals in line with the organizational roadmap

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between perceived organizational support (POS) and organization based self-esteem (OBSE). To measure teacher's POS, Eisenberger et al., Inventory was utilized and to measure teacher's organizational-based self-esteem, Pierce et al., Inventory was utilized. In the present study the reliability coefficients (Cronbach's alpha) for the POS Inventory scale was estimated 0.92 and the Cronbach’s alpha for the OBSE scale was estimated 0.75. For data analysis, regression, ANOVA, independent t-test was used. The population was teachers of all three levels of schooling (elementary, middle and high school) in the province of Kermanshah, Iran during academic year 2013-2014. The sample consisted of 396 teachers who were randomly selected from among 46 schools. Results of the study showed that POS has a significant positive correlation with OBSE (p <.01). Also, the results of the study revealed that POS was a strong predictor of OBSE. Results indicate that organizational-based self-esteem and perceived organizational support based on any of the demographic variables (age, seniority, level, and degree) is not significant. Keywords: perceived organizational support, organizational-based self-esteem, and teachers

Abstract—This research was conducted by the aim of Identifying the dimensions and sustainable supply chain operations for knowledge-based decision making in the Iran tax affairs organization. From the point of purpose, this study is a fundamental research which is implemented by qualitative research. There is two main part in this study: the first one is about the background and theoretical basics which is related to the dimensions and components of knowledge-based decision making; the second part is a qualitative research that is implemented in a grounded theory methodology. This research’s population concludes experts of tax affairs organization in Iran. That experts has been chosen which have required qualifications and information by the use of purposive sampling method. The process of choosing these experts has continued until reaching the theoretical saturation which ended in 50 interviews. Open, axial and selective coding have been conducted respectively for analyzing the gathered data from interviews. The triangulation and control methods have implemented for confirmation and enhancement of the reliability of findings and interview transcripts. Based on a partial least squares approach, the confirmatory factor analysis method has also conducted for the estimate of indices. Respectively, the confirmatory factor analysis, Path analysis, and Bootstrapping have done in the frame of this approach. Findings of this study show that components of knowledge-based decision making are: 1- performance factor, 2- behavioral factor and 3- attitude factor

The present study aimed to analyze the structure of administrative systems in Hormozgan and its adaptation to the 1404 perspective with the land use planning (land preparation) approach. This paper is applied in purpose and is descriptive-analytical in nature. The statistical population of this research is Hormozgan as one of the Iran provinces. In order to collect information on the theoretical foundations and research literature, library resources, articles and required books were used and indicators of the administrative system structures (staff, development budget, planning system, spatial structure and free zones) were identified. The required quantitative data was extracted and classified based on census and housing results during 2006- 2017 and after quantitative calculations, they were analyzed in order to adjust with the 1404 goals. In order to analyze the information, time series and factor analysis methods and central tendencies and dispersion were used. SPSS version 24, MINTAB version 17, AMOS version 24 and excel were used for data analysis. Based on the results, considering that there was a significant difference between the value of the mean calculated for each of the factors of the administrative system structure during 2006-2017 (the current administrative system of Hormozgan) and the values related to the administrative system of perspective 1404, so it can be said that there is a difference between the current administrative system of Hormozgan and the perspective of 1404 with the land use planning approach

Background: Job motivation of workforce is one of the most important issues that organizations face to perform their tasks and duties well and with confidence and maintain their effectiveness. Methods: The present study was applied research conducted by using a combination of library studies and Delphi technique. The sample size of the present study was 332 employees of Islamic Azad University of Khuzestan. They were selected using Cochran's formula. Two researcher-made questionnaires including job motivation questionnaire with 54 questions and health factors questionnaire with 30 questions were used to collect the data. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS-22, Lisrel, and Amos-22 Software. Results: The variable of factors related to job motivation consisted of 15 components. The variable of job motivation in general found that according to the scoring scale of Abbas Bazargan, this variable is at more than satisfactory level. The variable of health factors was at more than satisfactory level. There was significant association between job motivation with health factors (P<0.001). Relationship between job motivation and health factors showed that direct and significant relationship between job motivation with health factors. The value of path coefficient of impact of health factors on job motivation showed that the relationship between job motivation and health factors is significant. Conclusion: Job motivation is a multidimensional phenomenon that cannot be measured directly by one variable. One of the important tasks of organizations is finding the ways to create and strengthen motivation. Managers should consider motivating employees as one of the most important tasks
