THE EFFECT OF USING SMALL - GROUP WORK TECHNIQUE ON THE STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENT IN READING COMPREHENSION AT SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 06 MEDAN

This study deals with the effect of using small-group work ( sgw) technique on Student’s Reading Comprehension. The objective of the study is to find out whether the use of SGW learning has a significant effect on students reading comprehension. In carrying out this study. The research took 82 students of SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 06 MEDAN as the sample of the study. It was divided into two groups. The first group ( Experimental Group) which contain was taught by using SGW. Which contain of 43 students was taught by using conventional method. The result shows that the students were taught by using SGW were higher that the students taught by other text. Value were got is 149,8>0.05. it means that SGW has applied to the students in teaching reading gave significant effect. Keywords: small group work, reading comprehension, descriptive tex

INTERJECTION IN TANGLED MOVIE SCRIPT

This research deals with Interjection in Tangled movie script. The objectives of this research are to find out the form of interjection used in tangled movie script, to identify the meaning of interjection used in Tangled movie script. This research was conducted by using descriptive qualitative method and it was taken place in the library of UMSU. The data of this research was taken from movie and transcript Tangled movie. The steps of analyzing the data were watched the movie, reading the script, Finding the form of Interjection from the dialogue in the script, Identifying the meaning of interjection based on theory. The result of this research, There were various of interjection used in the Tangled  movie script.  The total number of interjection in the Tangled movie script is 115 forms and 22 types of meanings of interjection. They are; Wonder (3), Acceptance (24) , Delight (4), Triumph (4),  Fear (13) , Admiration (6), Surprise (7), Greeting (8),Pleasure (1) , Dismay (4), Silance (3), Pain (6), Enthusiasm (1) , Confusion (7),Relief (6), Approval (3), Disguist (2), Annoyance (1), Joy (1), Upset (1), Attantion (2) , Anger (2). Pentingnya Ketrampilan Mendengar Dalam Menciptakan Komunikasi Yang Efektif

Komunikasi merupakan kunci terpenting dalam membangun hubungan baik antar setiap individu. Komunikasi yang efektif sangat bergantung pada ketrampilan seseorang dalam mengirim maupun menerima pesan. Kita menyaksikan begitu banyak proyek atau program perusahaan macet ditengah jalan hanya gara-gara dis-komunikasi para anggotanya. Masalah yang paling sederhana dan sering muncul itu di karenakan kurangnya keterampilan mendengarkan dalam berkomunikasi. Keterampilan mendengarkan seharusnya mengiringi keterampilan bertanya dalam komunikasi yang efektif. Karena sebaik apa pun komunikasi terhadap seseorang tanpa diiringi dengan kemampuan mendengar maka komunikasi tidak efektif. Kemampuan mendengarkan secara aktif diartikan sebagai proses pemahaman secara aktif untuk mendapatkan informasi, dan sikap dari pembicara yang tujuannya untuk memahami pembicaraan tersebut secara objektif. Komunikasi efektif adalah suatu kegiatan pengiriman makna (pesan) dari seorang individu ke individu yang lain di mana kegiatan tersebut dapat menghasilkan manfaat bagi kedua belah pihak. Komunikasi Efektif, inilah yang menjadi permasalah orang Indonesia sekarang mereka masih awam terhadap budaya komunikasi Efektif dan kurangnya ketrampilan mendengar dalam berkomunikasi yang mengakibatkan mereka lebih banyak “berpendapat untuk mengemukakan masalah” daripada “berpendapat untuk memecahkan masalah”. Tujuanpenelitian mengetahui pentingnya ketrampilan mendengar dalam menciptakan komunikasi yang efektif. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan deskriptif eksploratif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang di dasarkan pada data sekunder. Membangun komunikasi yang efektif, setidaknya kita harus: (1) Berusaha benar-benar mengerti orang lain (emphatetic communication), (2) Memenuhi komitmen atau janji, (3) Menjelaskan harapan atau rencana yang akan di lakukan, (4) Meminta maaf denga tulus ketika membuat kesalahan, (5) Memperlihatkan integritas pribadi. Kata Kunci: Keterampilan mendengar, Komunikasi efekti

Pola Pengajaran Kesantunan Berbahasa Anak Di Lingkungan Keluarga

This research was about parents way in teaching politeness in their environment. The objectives of this research were (1) to examine parents’ perception about teaching language politeness to their children in a family environment;(2) to describe what patterns are implemented by parents in teaching language politeness to the children;(3) to find out the forms of language politeness taught to the children and  (4) to describe the obstacles encountered by parents when they taught their children language politeness.Descriptive qualitative design was used  in this research. The data were obtained   by doing the interview and observation to the objects of research. The result revealed that all parents agreed about teaching language politeness to their children in a familay environment based on some reasons.First, famliy is the first place for children to learn about politeness. Second, teaching language politeness to children is one way to maintain our culture and third, teaching language politeness to the children can make them far from the dispute. Teaching language politeness to the children must be done  through refraction, instruction, control, and modelling

Implementasi Senam Yoga Terhadap Peningkatan Kadar SPO2 Pada Lansia Dengan Hipertensi Derajat I Di Griya Wredha Jambangan Surabaya

Background : Hypertension is blood pressure where systolic pressure ≥ 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure ≥ 90 mmHg. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of yoga exercises on increasing SpO2 levels in elderly with first degree hypertension in Griya Werdha Jambangan Surabaya Method : The instrument uses an observation sheet and pulse oximetry. Â Result : The results showed that there was a significant influence between yoga exercises on the increase of SpO2 level in elderly with first degree hypertension Conclusion : The implication of this research is yoga gymnastics influence on the increase SpO2 level in elderly, so hopefully hypertension patients do yoga gymnastics to avoid complication from hypertension
