Nowadays quality of cloud computing services, along with its proper service management, is one of the most important aspects of cloud computing model. Because of that, the cloud computing system can fulfill the need of users in a better way. To fulfill the need of cloud services quality, an evaluation series of quality standards are to be considered. Some of the most important standards have been considered while others are still under identification or under development. Here a series of indicators is to be identified with an objective to guide the development of cloud service related products. Exposing Issues and Challenges in Performance of Cloud Computing Services.

In current era of high performance computing, cloud computing is considered as new paradigm of ubiquitous computing. Peoples are changing their views and accordingly demand of consumer services for real world applications is getting diversified. Most of all global IT leader companies have started to consume cloud services in one or another way by putting their demands. The cloud is rapidly maturing towards its goal to satisfy federated need of consumer’s need for real-world applications. It is tried to reflect survey of current research related to open issues associated with clouds service performance with consideration of maintenance of performance and quality management and also simulates service level agreement based testing on the large scale commercial testing environment. One of the key aspect of the existing approach is it cloud environment need to achieve more flexibility to satisfy diversified users need and providers service delivery model. A collaborative system shall apply the concept of the cloud service performance testing to reduce the mitigations in cloud data and loss of the service availability and data integrity aspects

Reference Services in Private University Libraries of Assam: A Study

Abstract Objective: The present study intends to investigate the private university libraries of Assam and their different kinds of library services and reference services, web 2.0 features and its different adopted methodology for the advancement of library services and how these library services are being provided and what are the technical or non-technical measures adopted by the library professional to perceived job performance. It also intends to carry out additional library facilities like an online learning support system and enabling future generations to utilize acquired knowledge from the study libraries. Methodology: For this study, both qualitative and quantitative approaches for data collection have been used. A structured questionnaire was prepared for librarians and the library user’s and sent to the head of the libraries to finds out the status and performance of references services and a questionnaire for each particular library user was also distributed among the categories of library user’s to carry out relevant information regarding user’s demand and perceptions. A personal interview with the librarians of the study libraries and the library users were also conducted for proper measurement. Findings: The study findings show that the adoption of different categories of reference services to facilitate the category of users and online learning support system by the study libraries where basic library services performed by 100% (13 numbers) ADBU, ADTU, MSSV, RGU, and 92% (12 numbers) AKU and 54% (7 numbers) KAV and RGU acquired highest 73% (16 numbers) for reference services and ADTU acquired highest 47% (7 numbers) for web-based reference services. It also highlighted the online learning support system where RGU acquired the highest 69% (11 numbers) Originality: It is an original work of my study which I have created independently that is free from any sort of plagiarism. Microcontroller based Automatic Water level Control System

Water scarcity is one of the major problem facing major cities of the world. Major problems regarding that are when either sump or bore well motor is started people forget to switch OFF these motors so water goes waste as well as electricity gets consumed. There is not fix schedule to start and stop motors so there is always problem of unwanted vacancy of water in overhead tank, people are facing such problems at midnight & situation becomes critical. Sumps as well as bore well motor can dry run giving electricity wastage. So overall wastage has been identified as a major culprit; this is one of the motivations for this research, to deploy computing techniques in creating a barrier to wastage in order to not only provide more financial gains and energy saving, but also help the environment and water cycle which in turn ensures that water is saved for our future. This paper presents research in embedding a control system into an automatic water pump controller through the use of different technologies in its design, development, and implementation. The system used microcontroller to automate the process of water pumping in an over-head tank storage system and has the ability to detect the level of water in a tank, switch ON/OFF the pump accordingly and display the status of motor on LED. This research has successfully provided customized solution to society an improvement on existing water level controllers by its use of calibrated circuit to control automatic water level and use of DC instead of AC power thereby eliminating risk of electrocution

Recognition and Classification of Leaf Disease in Potato Plants

Farming is one of the most important lifelines of the country. A nation’s growth majorly depends on how advanced and effective their agricultural practices are in improving the crop yield. When a crop is grown many at times, farmers are unable to identify the health and wellbeing of the plant; they only recognize the problems when it becomes too late hence losing out on that year's expected yield. In this study, we have introduced a recognition and classification technique which is able to detect any ailments that the plant is suffering from at an early stage itself thus enabling the farmers to do the needful at a recoverable stage itself. To make the system as user-friendly as possible, we have provided a feature where the farmers are able to assess the health of the plant by providing a picture of the potato plants’ leaf

Protean Career Orientation and Perceived Employability: The Mediating Role of Career Self-Management

The study examines the relationship between protean career orientation and perceived employability along with the engagement in proactive career behavior. The main objective of this paper is to understand how protean career orientation would form perceptions of student's employability with career self-management as a mediator. Data was collected with the help of a questionnaire from 182 business school students at Panjab University, Chandigarh. The result of correlation analysis indicates that a positive relationship exists between protean career orientation and perceived employability. PROCESS macro given by Hayes has been used to test the mediation. Analysis by bootstrapping method reveals that career self-management fully mediates the relationship between the two variables. Theoretically, this study extends the presence of protean career orientation beyond the work domain into the student life. It also adds on to the cross-cultural research by examining protean career orientation that is a US rooted concept in the Indian scenario. The practical implication of this study is that it improves perception of students towards their employability by indulging in career self-management initiatives. Further, business school management should aim at interventions to increase the self-directed and values-driven nature of students to make them more proactive with regards to their career management

Smart Automation By Using Zigbee and GSM

This paper includes automation of electrical devices based upon the presence of an occupant. The number of persons going in and out of a room or lab is counted using a counting mechanism. The network is created using Zigbee transceivers. In every room, a Zigbee transceiver known as an end device. The computer has a GUI interface for the users to control the devices and also to monitor the status of the devices. For providing remote access to the user a GSM modem interfaces with the central computer or PC. This paper shows the design and implementation of a novel low-power, low-cost and hand-held wireless device called a SensePod. Senseo pods can be used by a consumer to interact with a smart home or room using simple gestures like rubbing, taping or rolling the device on any home surface like a dining table. The device is smaller and forms an ad-hoc wireless network using the ZigBee protocol, and it can be easily interfaced to existing home management systems using a Universal Serial Bus (USB) port.
