During a crisis, special attention is paid to efficiency and minimization of costs in fly realization. There are several principal ways to reduce the consumption of aviation fuel by engines. One of the most actual is reducing the turbulent friction drag of streamlined surface

Goodness-of-fit tests for sparse nominal data based on grouping

    Get PDF
. For (very) sparse nominal data, common goodness-of-fit tests usually fail. Alternative goodness-of-fit tests based on extended empirical Bayes approach and grouping are proposed and their consistency is proved. The performance of the tests is illustrated and compared with classical criteria by Monte Carlo simulations

Palyginamoji pažangumo analizė: panelinės logistinės regresijos modelis

    Get PDF
Conditional logistic regression model is fitted to data of student academic performance. This enables one to compare difficulties of different examinations and to identify related factors.Studentų pažangumo duomenims tirti buvo parinktas sąlyginės logistinės regresijos modelis. Šis modelis leidžia palyginti skirtingų egzaminų sudėtingumą ir identifikuoti susijusius veiksnius

Evaluation of vestibular function in children with purulent media otitis by computer stabilometry

The aim of the research – assessment of vestibular function in children with acute purulent otitis media by computer static stabilometry compared with typically developed children of the same age. Materials and methods: 22 children with purulent otitis media aged 4 to 7 years and 30 practically healthy peers were examined by static stabilometry on the device “MPFI stabilograph 1” (Kharkiv, Ukraine). Indicators of variation and shape of the pressure center distribution, spectral-correlation indicators of stabilograms, as well as integral indicators of stability (length, velocity and angle of postural oscillations) were taken into account and the equilibrium functions of the two sensory states (open and closed eyes) are calculated in the StabiliS software. Results: purulent otitis media causes posterior displacement of the absolute coordinates of the pressure center. In the state with closed eyes, children with purulent otitis differ from their healthy coevals by 14 of 24 stabilometric parameters, including stabilogram length, speed, angle and amplitude of oscillations, giving way to them in the stability of equilibrium. Children with purulent otitis media are more sensitive to the visual canal of postural control than their coevals. Involvement of visual afferents in postural control significantly improves balance maintenance in children with purulent otitis by reducing deviations of postural oscillations, which is reflected in the probable changes of 9 out of 24 stabilometric parameters compared to control. Conclusions: In preschool age, purulent otitis media leads to latent vestibular dysfunction, which is manifested by a violation of the stability of the vertical posture in a state with closed eyes and is compensated by visual-vestibulo-proprioceptive integration in the process of postural control. The aim of the research – assessment of vestibular function in children with acute purulent otitis media by computer static stabilometry compared with typically developed children of the same age. DEVELOPMENT OF CHEMICAL ADDITIVES FOR CONCRETE

This article deals with the developing of impregnation solution on basis of hexafluorosilicate of zinc for treatment of concrete and ferroconcrete products to improve their durability. Estimation of the protective properties of solutions was conducted fully by volume and time variation of the following characteristics: compressive strength, resistance to frost, water absorption. The developed solution is highly competitive with their analogue «SIFTOM» (Republic of Belarus)

Issues and Prospects for the Development of Krasnoyarsk Krai`s Innovation Capacity

The article analyses the Krasnoyarsk Krai`s innovation capacity using the production function of knowledge. It is shown that regional innovative development is catching-up and based on borrowed knowledge and technologies. Regional innovation capacity depends on economic growth and investment in the regional innovation system. Investments in the fixed capital of the mining and the first redistribution of manufacturing industries deprive the development of innovation-intensive enterprises and lead to the curbing of regional innovative development. The growth of human capital and accumulated knowledge in the form of patents does not have a significant impact on the innovative potential of the Krasnoyarsk Krai. The study results show that the task of stimulating innovation in the region cannot be solved without changing the industrial policy foundations and establishing close cooperative ties between science and industr
