    AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF STUDENT’S ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE ADOPTION OF MOBILE SHOPPING WITH MILLENNIALS

    Purpose of the study: An increasing usage Web in India offers online purchasing opportunities and it has become a popular marketing channel. To open the way for the latest concept called mobile commerce, it created the other catch up. Generally buying intention, offline or online is highly influenced by customer attitude. In the context of mobile shopping, the aim of this present study continues to analyze the variables which influence the attitude of the student towards buying intention. Methodology: This work is quantitative and focused on primary data collected from an online survey from the young millionaire who is all Smartphone users. Based on TAM and UTAUT2 we adopted and modify the model and it was tested on the information set of 533 samples by smart PLS 2.0. Main Findings: The statistical results revealed which performance expectancy, Facilitating condition and social influence have a direct positive effect on attitude. Moreover, the attitude was positively related to Purchase intention among young millionaire. Finally, the research result is analyzed and discussed. Implications are highlighted for the current study and research along with limitations and directions for the future are pointed out. Applications of this study: This article includes particle mobile shopping in India, and it is will promote huge contributions in mobile commerce research. Novelty/Originality of this study: The existing studies survey indicates that a variety of variables were studied in the sense of millennials ' mobile shopping adoption and limited success has been published on these factors. Furthermore, the study has been done to examine millennial attitudes towards mobile shopping adoption and especially to study factors that can influence millennials' shopping attitudes through mobile internet

    Modeling of multipath fading channels for network simulation

    Development of accurate physical layer models is very important for generating realistic network simulation results. Significant effort has been put into setting up physical layer models for wireless channels that emulate the impact of the channel on the higher layers of the network. Setting up the models is especially difficult for a frequency selective channel. In this thesis the use of non-linear functions to convert the frequency selective channel to an equivalent flat fading channel is examined. The analytical expressions for the statistics of the equivalent flat fading process that are needed to set up the physical layer models are derived. These results are used to set up the physical layer model for the frequency selective channel. Extensive simulations are performed to verify the accuracy of the model against a detailed physical layer implementation. The statistics of the model and the actual channel are seen to match, validating the method of setting up the models

    Design of a smart system for rapid bacterial test

    In this article, we present our initial findings to support the design of an advanced field test to detect bacterial contamination in water samples. The system combines the use of image processing and neural networks to detect an early presence of bacterial activity. We present here a proof of concept with some tests results. Our initial findings are very promising and indicate detection of viable bacterial cells within a period of 2 h. To the authors' knowledge this is the first attempt to quantify viable bacterial cells in a water sample using cell splitting. We also present a detailed design of the complete system that uses the time lapse images from a microscope to complete the design of a neural network based smart system

    Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation of Severe Cerebral Palsy

    Persons with Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS) levels IV and V are considered as severe cerebral palsy (CP) and are non-ambulatory. These persons are at a higher risk of complications such as hip displacement (sub-luxation or dislocation), spinopelvic deformities, musculoskeletal pain, low bone mineral density and low energy fracture. The recommended management strategy at present for this group is wheelchair-aided mobility, with which none of these complications can be prevented. There is a strong need to evaluate alternative methods of treatment that can allow assisted ambulation in persons with severe CP. The role of Single Event Multilevel Lever Arm Restoration and AntiSpasticity Surgery (SEMLARASS) and protocol-based active rehabilitation on gross motor function and ambulation of non-ambulatory persons with CP at GMFCS levels IV and V is examined. Active rehabilitation involves making the person with severe CP active through most of the waking hours and participating actively in the rehabilitation. A well-planned and executed SEMLARASS, followed by intensive, protocol-based, sequenced multidisciplinary active rehabilitation, provides the persons with GMFCS levels IV and V a significant functional improvement in gross motor function and mobility

    In this paper we study the Generalized Parikh Vector of words over three letter alphabet. For S = {a, b, c} the GPVs of words lie in the tetrahedron whose vertices are (1, 0, 0), (0, 1, 0), (0, 0, 1) and (0, 0, 0). All GPVs of words of equal length lie on the same plane. Plane languages and their language theoretical properties are studied. Further, the GPVs of words lying on surfaces are discussed. The concepts of surface language, language surface and their properties are also studied in this paper

    Acute changes in liver tumour perfusion measured non-invasively with arterial spin labelling

    BACKGROUND: Non-invasive measures of tumour vascular perfusion are desirable, in order to assess response to vascular targeting (or modifying) therapies. In this study, hepatic arterial spin labelling (ASL) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was investigated to measure acute changes in perfusion of colorectal cancer in the liver, in response to vascular disruption therapy with OXi4503. METHODS: SW1222 and LS174T tumours were established in the liver of MF1 nu/nu mice via intrasplenic injection. Perfusion and R2(*) MRI measurements were acquired with an Agilent 9.4T horizontal bore scanner, before and at 90 min after 40 mg kg(-1) OXi4503. RESULTS: A significant decrease in SW1222 tumour perfusion was observed (-43±33%, P<0.005). LS174T tumours had a significantly lower baseline level of perfusion. Intrinsic susceptibility MRI showed a significant increase in R2(*) in LS174T tumours (28±25%, P<0.05). An association was found between the change in tumour perfusion and the proximity to large vessels, with pre-treatment blood flow predictive of subsequent response. Histological evaluation confirmed the onset of necrosis and evidence of heterogeneous response between tumour deposits. CONCLUSIONS: Hepatic ASL-MRI can detect acute response to targeted tumour vascular disruption entirely non-invasively. Hepatic ASL of liver tumours has potential for use in a clinical setting

    Microbiota-driven interleukin-17-producing cells and eosinophils synergize to accelerate multiple myeloma progression

    The gut microbiota has been causally linked to cancer, yet how intestinal microbes influence progression of extramucosal tumors is poorly understood. Here we provide evidence implying that Prevotella heparinolytica promotes the differentiation of Th17 cells colonizing the gut and migrating to the bone marrow (BM) of transgenic Vk*MYC mice, where they favor progression of multiple myeloma (MM). Lack of IL-17 in Vk*MYC mice, or disturbance of their microbiome delayed MM appearance. Similarly, in smoldering MM patients, higher levels of BM IL-17 predicted faster disease progression. IL-17 induced STAT3 phosphorylation in murine plasma cells, and activated eosinophils. Treatment of Vk*MYC mice with antibodies blocking IL-17, IL-17RA, and IL-5 reduced BM accumulation of Th17 cells and eosinophils and delayed disease progression. Thus, in Vk*MYC mice, commensal bacteria appear to unleash a paracrine signaling network between adaptive and innate immunity that accelerates progression to MM, and can be targeted by already available therapies
