Strategi Pengembangan Lembaga Keuangan Mikro Mendukung Pengentasan Kemiskinan Di Perdesaan
Poverty in rural areas is a central issue of national mitigation which can't be postponed and should be a priority in the implementation of social welfare development. Lack of access to capital sources, markets and technologies, as well as farmer's organizations are still weak to be one of our problem. Optimizing the potential of existing financial institutions could be an alternative source of funding for farmers and rural communities, namely the development of MFIs. To that end, this paper aims to identify the problems of MFIs, to analyzes the potential of MFI's which can use as basis for the future development strategy and key success factors of empowerment MFI. From the discussion, MFIs development can be the one of effective solution in reducing poverty with the help of the role and intervention of various parties, both governmental, non-governmental and community. This can seen from the success of the empowerment of MFIs that have been implemented in Bangladesh, Philipine and China

Developing Students' Ability of Mathematical Connection Through Using Outdoor Mathematics Learning
The Purpose of this study is to determine the achievement and improvement of students' mathematical connectionability through using outdoor mathematics learning. 64 students from the fifth grade of Primary School at SDN 65 and SDN 67 Bengkulu City were taken as the sample of this study. While the method of the research used in this research is experiment with quasi-experimental designs non-equivalent control group. The results of the study are as follows: (1) There is an increasing ability found in mathematical connection of students whom taught by using outdoors mathematics learning is 0,53; (2) Based on statical computation that achievement of students' ability of mathematical connection is taught by using outdoor mathematics learning score is 71,25. It is higher than the students score 66,25 which were taught by using the conventional learning. So as to improve students' mathematical connection, teachers are suggested to use the outdoors mathematics learnin
Persistent X-Ray Photoconductivity and Percolation of Metallic Clusters in Charge-Ordered Manganites
Charge-ordered manganites of composition exhibit persistent photoconductivity upon
exposure to x-rays. This is not always accompanied by a significant increase in
the {\it number} of conduction electrons as predicted by conventional models of
persistent photoconductivity. An analysis of the x-ray diffraction patterns and
current-voltage characteristics shows that x-ray illumination results in a
microscopically phase separated state in which charge-ordered insulating
regions provide barriers against charge transport between metallic clusters.
The dominant effect of x-ray illumination is to enhance the electron {\it
mobility} by lowering or removing these barriers. A mechanism based on magnetic
degrees of freedom is proposed.Comment: 8 pages, 4 figure
Centralized and decentralized management of groundwater with multiple users
Cataloged from PDF version of article. In this work, we investigate two groundwater inventory management schemes with multiple users in a
dynamic game-theoretic structure: (i) under the centralized management scheme, users are allowed to
pump water from a common aquifer with the supervision of a social planner, and (ii) under the decentralized
management scheme, each user is allowed to pump water from a common aquifer making usage
decisions individually in a non-cooperative fashion. This work is motivated by the work of Saak and Peterson
[14], which considers a model with two identical users sharing a common aquifer over a two-period
planning horizon. In our work, the model and results of Saak and Peterson [14] are generalized in
several directions. We first build on and extend their work to the case of n non-identical users distributed
over a common aquifer region. Furthermore, we consider two different geometric configurations overlying
the aquifer, namely, the strip and the ring configurations. In each configuration, general analytical
results of the optimal groundwater usage are obtained and numerical examples are discussed for both
centralized and decentralized problems.

Generation of Entangled Photon Holes using Quantum Interference
In addition to photon pairs entangled in polarization or other variables,
quantum mechanics also allows optical beams that are entangled through the
absence of the photons themselves. These correlated absences, or ``entangled
photon holes'', can lead to counter-intuitive nonlocal effects analogous to
those of the more familiar entangled photon pairs. Here we report an
experimental observation of photon holes generated using quantum interference
effects to suppress the probability that two photons in a weak laser pulse will
separate at an optical beam splitter.Comment: 4 pages, color figures, submitted to Phys. Rev.
Relationship between seasonal weather variation and students’ academic performance in Kaduna State University, Nigeria
The study assessed the relationship between seasonal weather variation and students’ academic performance in Kaduna State University (KASU), Kaduna State, Nigeria. The study involved the two campuses of KASU in Kaduna and Kafanchan. Academic Performance data was obtained from the academic office, meteorological data was obtained from NiMET while survey data was obtained using a structured questionnaire administered to 309 randomly selected student’. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Z – test Statistic. The study found out that seasonal weather variations occur in an academic session as revealed by NiMET data (2008 - 2018) and affected the academic performance of majority of the students (180) 58.3% negatively while (129)41.7% were not affected. The study recommended that mitigation and coping measures should be instituted during the second semester which coincides with peak rainfall to reduce its negative effect on students’ academic performance and a new calendar which avoids the peak weather periods in August, January and April should be designed and utilized as soon as possible to improve students’ academic performance in KASU
