A STUDY OF TORQUE VECTORING AND TRACTION CONTROL FOR A PARALLEL SPLIT HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE

    Get PDF
Development of automotive industry grows drastically beyond the boundary. Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) becomes more popular nowadays with user friendly and low fuel consumption compared to conventional vehicle. Many manufacturing company perform a research to convert conventional existing vehicle into hybrid vehicle where electric motor was add as an additional power source. Another issue raise is how to control the HEV so that the driver feel more comfortable driving the car. During accelerating it doesn’t give much problem in distributing the torque to the wheel. On the other hand, most crucial part is to control the vehicle during cornering because it related with the vehicle stability. The vehicle requires some input from the driver before it can distribute difference torque into the wheel so that the vehicle will remain at the path. In this project, minor fabrication for adapter is needed in order to install In-Wheel Motor (IWM) at rear wheel of the vehicle. Design of the adapter was analyze to ensure it may withstand the force and torque effect during difference driving condition. Vehicle model also was design in Matlab Simulink to execute the performance simulation and to control the vehicle at various driving event. In addition, co-simulation in Adams/Car also will be used to simulate the performance of the vehicle. Once both of the model was done, simulation between them was done to generate the result which to compare model from existing real vehicle and the model that has been modified

    Get PDF
Covid-19 pandemic, which occurred in early 2020, has resulted in more than 50 percent of households experiencing financial difficulties, especially those who rely on personal businesses. This study aims to analyze the effect of working mothers on family economic resilience during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study obtained the primary data by distributing questionnaires to 173 respondents using the purposive sampling technique. The approach used is quantitative with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) as the data analysis method. The dependent variable is family economic resilience, and the independent variable is female workers. The results showed that working women could support and contribute to their households in helping meet the daily needs of their families. Thus, working mothers have a positive effect on household economic resilience during the Covid-19 pandemic. For this reason, during the Covid-19 period, a wife's role is needed to contribute to the family economy so that the family's economic resilience remains stable. Furthermore, this research revealed the importance of the government's roles and stakeholders to provide facilities such as working capital for women, availability of employment opportunities for women, and work regulations that support women in balancing their dual roles

INTEGRATION OF GREEN SUKUK AND CASH WAQF LINKED SUKUK FOR FINANCING AGRICULTURE SUSTAINABLE

    Get PDF
Abstract: Green sukuk has an underlying form of environmental preservation activities and is a form of Indonesia's commitment to addressing the impacts of climate change. The Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk (CWLS) is a cash waqf investment in SBSN where the imbalance is channeled to social activities including social infrastructure which is a waqf asset. Based on the two-state sukuk innovations, in general, this research intends to integrate the implementation of green sukuk and CWLS in sustainability. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. The results of this study are the proposed Green CWLS model for financing the agricultural sector. This innovation will be a breakthrough in funding to reduce climate change as well as providing opportunities for Muslims who wish to invest socially, especially in the agricultural sector. Based on the contract used, green sukuk can use ijarah, murabahah, salam, ishtisna`, mudharabah and musyarakah contracts. While CWLS uses a wakalah contract. The hope is that this can become a new recommendation for policymakers such as the Ministry of Finance, the Indonesian Waqf Agency , the Ministry of Religion, and Bank Indonesia in advancing fiscal finance while trying to balance economic and environmental impacts which are currently the focus of all countries. In addition, this model also supports the agricultural sector to improve the welfare of local farmers and ensure food security and security for the people of Indonesia

Undergraduates' interpretation on WhatsApp smiley emoji

    Get PDF
Undergraduate students, who are digital native, are keen on using emoji (smileys and ideograms) frequently to express themselves emotionally in their digital communication such as WhatsApp Messenger. Nevertheless, sometimes, they got into misunderstanding due to the different emoji's interpretation between the sender and the recipient. Research investigating emoji is still relatively new and this study discusses the diverse interpretations of WhatsApp emoji specifically the smileys among Malaysian undergraduates in a public university. This study attempted to investigate 210 undergraduates' interpretations of 75 smiley (face-like) meanings in WhatsApp Messenger. The respondents were asked to give feedback in self-administrated survey questionnaire to gather information on their interpretation of the smileys used in WhatsApp. A descriptive analysis was conducted on the students' interpretations and the findings disclosed that although the students interpreted a few smileys correctly, they did not know the intended meaning of most of the smileys correctly. The results of this study suggested that the students should know the meaning of the smiley/ emoji used in their digital conversation to able to understand its intended use and to avoid miscommunication in their digital communication. For WhatsApp users, the findings will be beneficial to emphasize the need to understand the emoji's intended meaning for future tolerant and wiser use
