Using Agency Theory in Understanding Switching Behavior in B2B Service Industries ā€œIā€

    Get PDF
Understanding switching behavior is a cornerstone in sustaining customer led marketing efforts especially in services which depend on long-term relationships with the customers and where the switching process is compound and costly for both the customer and the service provider. The issue of understanding the motives and barriers behind agency-brand switching behavior still needs further conceptual support and empirical investigation in service industries context, where the emphasis placed on investigating the actual switching motives without trying to conceptualize the issue, which if done will result in better understanding for the whole switching process. In this paper, the authors attempt to bridge this gap in the literature by examining the criterion validity of the switching behavior model using the agency theory, as the relation between the business company (principle) and an Advertising agency (the agent) could be described as agency relationship. Furthermore, this approach helps in supporting the efforts for retaining the business-to-business customers, strengthening the relationship with them, developing and adopting globally integrated customer led strategies in different countries, a trend which is expected to dominate the marketing field in the future due to the increasing role of the agency brand selection and switching in todayā€™s world markets.Brand switching, agency theory, business to business marketing, service marketing, international advertising research

Modelling of sensored speed control of BLDC motor using MATLAB/SIMULINK

    Get PDF
Recent developments in the field of magnetic materials and power electronics, along with the availability of cheap powerful processors, have increased the adoption of brushless direct current (BLDC) motors for various applications, such as in home appliances as well as in automotive, aerospace, and medical industries. The wide adoption of this motor is due to its many advantages over other types of motors, such as high efficiency, high dynamic response, long operating life, relatively quiet operation, and higher speed ranges. This paper presents a simulation of digital sensor control of permanent magnet BLDC motor speed using the MATLAB/SIMULINK environment. A closed loop speed control was developed, and different tests were conducted to evaluate the validity of the control algorithms. Results confirm the satisfactory operation of the proposed control algorithms

    Get PDF
Due to their efficiency and adaptability, automated applications are consistently gaining popularity around the world. Robotics and their applications as used in a variety of commonplace industries, such as medical applications, require a high level of precision and accuracy. This can be achieved by utilizing automated applications. In this work, the development and design of a regulated injection pump is detailed. The developed prototype is a type of robot that can be utilized in hospitals and other medical facilities. The proposed design is used to pump specific liquid volumes as specified by the user. During liquid pumping, both the fluidā€™s volume and velocity can be manipulated. Implementation of the proposed system required the development of a complete mechanical system and a controller. The proposed system was implemented successfully, and its operation was deemed satisfactory. According to the results, the accuracy of the system was also satisfactory. Using a flow sensor, the reference value and the measured value acquired from the designed device were compared. Compared to similar devices, the proposed system demonstrated exceptional precision, with an average error rate of less than 1.5%. The proposed model has the advantages of using a commercially available injection syringe and being significantly less expensive than similar devices on the market

PALESTINE AUTOMOTIVE LICENSE IDENTITY RECOGNITION FOR INTELLIGENT PARKING SYSTEM

    Get PDF
Providing employees with protection and security is one of the key concerns of any organization. This goal can be implemented mainly by managing and protecting employeesā€™ cars in the parking area. Therefore, a parking area must be managed and organized with smart technologies and tools that can be applied and integrated in an intelligent parking system. This paper presents the tools based on image recognition technology that can be used to effectively control various parts of a parking system. An intelligent automotive parking system is effectively implemented by integrating image processing technologies and an Arduino controller. Results show that intelligent parking is successfully implemented based on car ID image capture to meet the need for managing and organizing car parking systems

Isolation and characterization of lactic acid bacteria from the fish intestine for application as probiotics in young common carp Cyprinus carpio L. diet

    Get PDF
The current study was conducted to investigate the possibility of using Lactic acid bacteria LAB isolated from the intestines of common carp, Cyprinus carpio, as dietary probiotics to enhance the nutrition and growth of common carp juveniles. The bacteria were cultured on MRS agar and their cultural and biochemical characteristics were confirmed. The isolated probiotic bacteria were used as dietary supplements at concentrations of 106, 107, and 108 and their effect on the nutrition and growth of common carp fingerlings was evaluated. The results showed clear positive effects of adding the probiotic Lactobacilli in fish feed, with a relative growth increase from 105.26 to 178.14% with increasing probiotic concentration compared to the control. The feed conversion ratio also improved from 2.94 to 1.83 with increasing levels of probiotics compared to the control. In addition, all other indicators improved, including weight gain, specific growth rate, protein efficiency ratio, digestibility, and beneficial intestinal flora, with increasing probiotic concentration in the feed compared to the control, with a significant difference. It was concluded that LAB isolated from the intestines of common carp.can be effectively used as probiotics in common carp C. carpio fingerlings feed, with positive results

Commutation Time Estimator For PM BLDC Motor Torque Signature Enhancement

    Get PDF
This paper presents the development of the commutation time estimator (CTE) for PM BLDC motor drives. The proposed scheme is aimed to enhance motor output torque by minimizing the generated torque ripples. The torque ripples originating from commutation instances cause spikes and dips in the motor output torque. The motor output torque could be enhanced by mitigating the phase current mismatch rate during phase current commutation period. This rate could be almost matched by introducing the commutation time estimator (CTE) in order to control the rate of the energized phase current to be matched with the de-energized phase rate. Results obtained have validated and verified the proposed CTE effectiveness with a 50% average reduction of the generated torque ripples in PM BLDC motor

LINEARNO PROGRAMIRANJE KAO ALAT ZA PROJEKTIRANJE SIROVINSKE SMJESE U TVORNICI CEMENTA

    Get PDF
This study uses linear programming to develop a methodology for selecting the best raw material mix in an ASCOM cement plant in Egypt. In cement factories, this type adheres to Egyptian chemical composition criteria for raw feed (e.g. 82.5% calcium carbonate, 14.08% silica, 2.5% alumina and 0.92% iron oxide). Furthermore, the model is bound by industry-specific characteristics (e.g. lime saturation factor, silica modulus, alumina modulus and loss of ignition). The results reveal that the model is able to accurately reproduce the mixing of high-quality feed with varying constituent percentages. It is also capable of determining the combining limitations of each ingredient. Furthermore, it demonstrates optimality for additive sourcing short-term planning and capping limestone quality to meet changeable component combinations. Additionally, improving the raw mix reduces limestone feed quality from 51 to 50.6%, resulting in the inclusion of extra limestone reserves.Studija prikazuje metodu linearnoga programiranja uporabljenu sa svrhom odabira najbolje sirovinske smjese u tvornici cementa ASCOM (Egipat). Takva smjesa poÅ”tuje egipatske standarde kemijskoga sastava sirovine (npr. 82,5 % kalcijeva karbonata, 14,08 % silikata, 2,5 % aluminijeva oksida, 0,92 % željeznoga oksida).
