This study attempts to investigate the role of knowledge management (KM) in commercial companies. To this end, a literature review was made and relevant components were extracted to conceptualizeKM and organizational performance (OP), and the relationship between KM and OP was presented ina theoretical framework. Secondly, to assess the proposed model, a questionnaire was given to 200participants in five commercial companies, chosen through multi-stage stratified sampling. The datawere analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) and Lisrel 8.8. The results revealed that themodel enjoyed an acceptable degree of fit. The obtained coefficient (0.41) showed a direct impact ofKM indices on OP, indicating the significant and positive relationship between KM and OP dimensionssuch as financial performance, quality of goods and services, staff members’ performance, innovation, and customers’ level of satisfaction.Este estudio trató de investigar el papel de la gestión del conocimiento (KM) en las empresas comerciales. Massive data volume, on the one hand, and the growing importance of the role of data in organizations, on the other hand, make data management inevitable. One of the important issues in data management is to determine the necessary roles and division of responsibilities and rights arising from it. The pattern of division of responsibilities in an organization depends on its structure, and the structure of an organization is a function of the three elements of complexity, formality, and focus. In coalition organizations, the division of responsibilities and powers between the central unit and its affiliated units is more complex and requires a clear and codified model for joint efforts and cooperation in various issues, including management. In this research, using the responsibility-sharing matrix, a model for cooperation and division of responsibilities related to data management in the main body and affiliated subdivisions of a coalition organization has been obtained and using the Delphi method to reach the consensus of experts and using, how to divide data management responsibilities in the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran and its affiliated universities is explained

The maturity of business intelligence, which is the main goal of this research, plays an important role in intelligent decision-making, planning, control and monitoring in the field of health care. In order to identify the effective factors, the Delphi method was used and experts' opinions were, and in order to determine the effectiveness and effectiveness of the indicators and finally to prioritize them, used the DANP method. The statistical sample includes 20 targeted academic experts and health care experts. According to the results of the Delphi section, 26 main indicators finalized in the research were identified, which are divided into three main categories including organizational, process and judgment criteria. According to the results of the DANP process, flexible and expandable technical infrastructure criteria, data and system quality and the correct definition of business intelligence problems and processes were prioritized as the three criteria with the highest ranking in the maturity of business intelligence. The business intelligence maturity model proposed by the research can be a road map for the successful implementation of business intelligence in the field of health care

Providing a model to optimize preventive maintenance schedules for multi-component systems using GA

In this paper, a non-periodic preventive maintenance scheduling optimization model for multi-component systems is provided based on the maximum availability of system components. In addition to providing the required level of system reliability and satisfy other system constraints (maintenance activities and available resources), total costs (direct and indirect) associated with minimal maintenance and, if necessary, one of the maintenance activities include in inspected and serviced simple, preventive repair and preventive replacement for each component, is proposed. Each of these activities uses various sources and regarding the position of the repairing component, effects differently on the reliability of the system. The costs considered include in direct costs (simple service, repair and replacement) as well as indirect costs (out of order and random failures). Since the proposed model has a complex structure, in order to solve the problem, the Genetic Algorithm (G.A) has been used and the results is presented. In the end, performance and use of this model, for a 10-part series - parallel is presented in the form of a case study

E-Functionality of scientific and technological information systems management in Iranian Science and Research Value Chain

Iran’s proper status in the development of science and knowledge at the international level represents the institutionalized decision making system in this sector of the country. Besides, Iran’s strategic documents always emphasize on the formation of a place for the country’s knowledge and technology. Regarding to the development of technologies and IT infrastructures, this paper focuses the technological functions of scientific information management in the research and resource management value chain and analyzes the facilitation of the research services enhancement in the country. The approach of the paper is almost qualitative. At first, we identify the scientific and technological information value chain and its stockholders, applications, requirements, based on the previous documents, and international documents including goals and strategies, plans and actions. Then, we recognize the classification, and the definition of IT based on service systems. Finally, we present the IT functionality of scientific information management and research value chain based on the stockholders as a conceptual model

Analyzing key performance indicators of e-commerce using balanced scorecard

E-commerce as one of the most significant aspects of innovation in business processes is what takes place in companies across the world. The gap between information and communications technology and e-business application is called the digital divide. It is necessary to understand the reasons for the failure of commercial sites. Here the objective is to assess the commercial sites of Iran. Different methods are adopted to evaluate sites and electronic stores. The balanced scorecard is a rarely adopted method of concern to evaluate these sites in Iran. The survey methodology and Delphi technique are applied in building the research tools, which led to the development of a questionnaire. Through applying the BSC approach, the numbers of indicators in each of the four perspectives of BSC were identified. The DEMATEL technique is applied to determine the importance of different perspectives and to identify the causal correlations among the four perspectives. The results generated by SMART PLS graphics, the Structural Equation Modeling software, confirm the adequacy of this proposed model for websites. The findings here indicate that the growth and learning perspective have the greatest impact on the other perspectives while the other perspectives mostly affect the financial perspective

Simulation-optimization framework for train rescheduling in rapid rail transit

    No full text
One of the primary challenges of re-planning in high-speed urban railways is the randomness of disruptive events. In this study, an integrated disturbance recovery model presented in which short-turn and stop-skip service operations are optimized together to minimize the average of passengers’ waiting times. This study develops a discrete-event simulation model that employs a variable neighborhood search algorithm to maintain the service level under infrastructure elements’ unavailability. Due to the unpredictable nature of the incidents, the uncertainty associated with obstruction duration is experimentally analyzed through probabilistic scenarios. The computational experiments are conducted on some test cases of the Tehran Metropolitan Network, and the benefits of the combined control strategy are justified. The outcomes validate the superior performance of the proposed simulation-optimization method over existing state-of-the-art methods. The optimal solutions provide urban rail companies with robust decision options where the maximum recoverability resulting from rescheduled services are expected. The integrated control policy result can also support the analysis of secondary train delay and timetable deviations. The computational results afford practical insights by showing the strong potential to improve the system\u27s responsiveness by minimizing the random disturbances’ cascading effects
