    Evaluation de la sexualité chez des femmes atteintes dŽun cancer du sein aprÚs traitement: à propos de 100 cas

    Le cancer du sein est le cancer féminin le plus fréquent. Plusieurs stratégies de traitement sont utilisées : la chimiothérapie, la radiothérapie, la chirurgie et enfin lŽhormonothérapie. Chacun de ces traitements est susceptible dŽaltérer la sexualité des patientes à court ou à long terme. LŽobjectif de notre étude est dŽévaluer la sexualité des femmes atteintes d'un cancer du sein aprÚs traitement. Un devis descriptif quantitatif a été réalisé auprÚs de 100 patientes suivies pour un cancer mammaire non métastasique en activité sexuelle, rencontrées à la consultation de gynécologie de lŽhÎpital Farhat Hached de Sousse. La collecte des données a été réalisé par une fiche de renseignement et à lŽaide de deux échelles validées :RSS (Relation Ship and Sexuality) et BESAA (Body EsteemScale For Adolescents and Adults) afin dŽévaluer la sexualité et lŽimage du corps. La moyenne dŽùge était 53,8 ans. Environ la moitié des patientes (48%), avaient une vie sexuelle altérée par la maladie. La fréquence des rapports, le désir sexuel et la capacité dŽatteindre lŽorgasme a été diminué respectivement chez 65, 45 et 54 patientes. Le score global des 3 dimensions de lŽimage du corps était de 49,4. Les femmes ùgées entre 35 et 39 ans développaient significativement plus de peur du rapport sexuel (p=0,002) et moindre de fréquence sexuelle (p=0,004). Une formation adéquate et accentuée sur la prise en charge des femmes ayant un cancer ainsi que leurs problÚmes sexuels et un travail multidisciplinaire permettent dŽaméliorer lŽétat psychologique des femmes

    Update on the Combined Analysis of Muon Measurements from Nine Air Shower Experiments

    Over the last two decades, various experiments have measured muon densities in extensive air showers over several orders of magnitude in primary energy. While some experiments observed differences in the muon densities between simulated and experimentally measured air showers, others reported no discrepancies. We will present an update of the meta-analysis of muon measurements from nine air shower experiments, covering shower energies between a few PeV and tens of EeV and muon threshold energies from a few 100 MeV to about 10GeV. In order to compare measurements from different experiments, their energy scale was cross-calibrated and the experimental data has been compared using a universal reference scale based on air shower simulations. Above 10 PeV, we find a muon excess with respect to simulations for all hadronic interaction models, which is increasing with shower energy. For EPOS-LHC and QGSJet-II.04 the significance of the slope of the increase is analyzed in detail under different assumptions of the individual experimental uncertainties

    This study explores the electronic properties of (C2H7N4O)2BiCl5 using the density functional theory (DFT) method, which was compared with the experimental data. The band structure of the compound indicated that it is a direct semiconductor with a band gap energy of 3.54 eV, which was comparable with the value (3.20 eV) obtained experimentally from the UV–vis spectroscopy. The density of state study showed that the conduction band was formed mainly by Bi 6p, C 2p, and N 2p states, while the valence band was formed mainly by Cl 2p, O 2p, and N 2p states. Hirshfeld surface analysis and enrichment ratio (E) were further used to investigate and quantify the intermolecular interactions within the compound. These studies established that the most important role in the stability of the structure of this crystalline material was provided by hydrogen bonding and π–π stacking interactions. The crystalline morphology of the compound was determined using BFDH simulation, based on the single-crystal structure result. Furthermore, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) was used to study the vibrational modes of carbamoyl-ganidinium cations. The charge transfer process within the anionic chains of [BiCl5]∝, studied using photoluminescence spectroscopy, resulted in a broad emission band with two positions of maxima centered at 336 and 358 nm. This work offers a good understanding of the optical, structural, as well as the electrical properties of (C2H7N4O)2BiCl5, which are necessary in its applications in areas such as multifunctional magnetic, optoelectronic, and photonic systems

    Phenology and phylogeny of Hyalomma spp. ticks infesting one-humped camels (Camelus dromedarius) in the Tunisian Saharan bioclimatic zone

    In this study, we report the results of a survey of Hyalomma ticks infesting one-humped camels in southern Tunisia. Examinations were conducted every second or third month on 406 camels in Tataouine district from April 2018 to October 2019. A total of 1902 ticks belonging to the genus Hyalomma were collected. The ticks were identified as adult H. impeltatum (41.1%; n = 782), H. dromedarii (32.9%; n = 626), H. excavatum (25.9%; n = 493), and H. marginatum for a single specimen. Although the camels were infested by ticks throughout the year, the highest overall infestation prevalence was observed in April 2018 (p < 0.01). The overall infestation intensity varied between 2.7 and 7.4 ticks/animal. There were no statistically significant differences in tick infestation prevalence based on age categories of the camels, and the overall infestation prevalence was between 82.7% and 97.4%. Female camels were significantly more infested with ticks (88.3%) than males (65.5%) (p < 0.01). The infestation prevalence of camels varied significantly according to the region where sampling took place (p < 0.01), but no correlations were found with abiotic factors. The preferred attachment sites for adult Hyalomma ticks were the sternum (38.3%; n = 729/1902), around the anus (36.2%; n = 689/1902), udder (18.4%; n = 350/1902), and inner thigh (6.9%; n = 132/1902). Morphological classification of ticks was corroborated by sequencing the cytochrome c oxidase I (Cox1) and 16S rDNA genes, and these sequences were also used to infer phylogenetic relationships. A single H. dromedarii seemed to be a natural hybrid with H. rufipes. More attention should be devoted by the veterinary services to the infestation of camels by ticks

    Lithium vanado(V)molybdate(VI), Li[VMoO6]

    Brannerite-type Li[VMoO6] has been synthesized by a solid state reaction route. The V and Mo atoms statistically occupy the same site with mirror symmetry and are octahedrally surrounded by O atoms. The framework is two-dimensional and is built up from edge-sharing (V,Mo)O6 octahedra forming (VMoO6)&#8734; layers that run parallel to the (001) plane. Li+ ions are situated in position with symmetry 2/m in the interlayer space. The bond-valence analysis reveals that the Li+ ionic conductivity is along the [010] and [110] directions, and shows that this material may have interesting conduction properties. This simulation proposes a model of the lithium conduction pathways

    Search for Spatial Correlations of Neutrinos with Ultra-high-energy Cosmic Rays

    For several decades, the origin of ultra-high-energy cosmic rays (UHECRs) has been an unsolved question of high-energy astrophysics. One approach for solving this puzzle is to correlate UHECRs with high-energy neutrinos, since neutrinos are a direct probe of hadronic interactions of cosmic rays and are not deflected by magnetic fields. In this paper, we present three different approaches for correlating the arrival directions of neutrinos with the arrival directions of UHECRs. The neutrino data are provided by the IceCube Neutrino Observatory and ANTARES, while the UHECR data with energies above ∌50 EeV are provided by the Pierre Auger Observatory and the Telescope Array. All experiments provide increased statistics and improved reconstructions with respect to our previous results reported in 2015. The first analysis uses a high-statistics neutrino sample optimized for point-source searches to search for excesses of neutrino clustering in the vicinity of UHECR directions. The second analysis searches for an excess of UHECRs in the direction of the highest-energy neutrinos. The third analysis searches for an excess of pairs of UHECRs and highest-energy neutrinos on different angular scales. None of the analyses have found a significant excess, and previously reported overfluctuations are reduced in significance. Based on these results, we further constrain the neutrino flux spatially correlated with UHECRs
