Introduction. PECVD enables fabrication of wide range of advanced materials with various structure such as amorphous, polymorphous, nano-crystalline, nanostructured, microcrystalline etc. and with various electronic properties. The latter can be also changed by different dopingl. PECVD silicon materials are commercially employed in multi-layered PV structures (including ones on flexible substrates). Combining these materials with crystalline silicon active substrate resulted in significant improvement of PCE in hetero junction technology PV structures. Existence of new organic semiconductors (OS) together with understanding of physical properties resulted in fast development of OC PV devicesAim. To consider both PECVD and OS materials and to present description of fabrication, structure and electronic properties for device application.Materials and methods. Devices based on non-crystalline materials, devices based on OS, hybrid devices. PECVD and Spin coating technique was used to deposit materials with tunable properties enabling device engineering possibilities.Results. PECVD and OS materials were analyzed. These materials have different levels of characterization (data volume, interpretation of the results etc.) and of understanding of physics determining device performance. Some examples of these materials in PV including structures with crystalline silicon were considered.Conclusion. Important advantage of both PECVD and OS materials is that fabrication methods are compatible and allow fabrication of great variety of hybrid device structures on crystalline semiconductors. Advantages of such devices are difficult to predict because of lack of data in scientific literature. However a new area in material science and related devices for further exploring and exploiting has appeared.Introduction. Impact of landed property transformation on reproductive process in the agrarian process of regions

The article presents the results on land ownership transformation and its impact on the reproductive process in the agricultural sector of the Volga Region Federal District in conditions of the existing model. The analysis of the consequences of the land reform, of which 115,4 million hectares of agricultural lands were transferred into common share ownership in the form of land shares without defining the boundaries on the ground, was carried out. Availability of land shares which are not transformed into the land, fouls up and causes chaos and uncertainty in land relations, leading to the criminalization of the land market, speculative land transactions, hinders the development of the land turnover. The position of the Volga Region Federal District and its individual regions in regard to the national indexes that characterize agricultural production, factors of reproduction, is established. The conclusion concerning the low level of production profitability is made, and it hampers the extended reproduction and, consequently, the high demand for land for agricultural purposes in the future.peer-reviewe

Simultaneous Interpreting : Characteristic of Autonomic Provision of Extreme Cognitive Loads

    Get PDF
Simultaneous interpreting is one of the most comprehensive and energy-consuming types of cognitive activity. To work successfully, a simultaneous interpreter must have a specific functional state. The aim of our study was to find out the basic mechanisms of this functional state, the effect of the simultaneous interpreting on cognitive function changes, and the main factors influencing the degree of the regulatory systems strain. Materials and Methods. 33 individuals participated in the study: 22 linguists specially trained in simultaneous translation composed the experimental group and 11 language-qualified people having no skills of simultaneous translation represented the control group. In compliance with the study design, the measurements were performed under the conditions similar to the real work of simultaneous interpreters: the participants working in succession performed professional tasks: shadowing in the native and foreign languages (German and English), simultaneous interpretation of the reports from the native language to the foreign, and vice versa. The interpreters were psychologically tested using ApWay.ru Web platform before and after the performance on the professional tasks: computer campimetry, test for a simple sensorimotor activity, Stroop test, and test for emotional disadaptation level. Cardiointervalogram was telemetrically recorded during the entire experiment. Results. Some specific aspects of autonomic provision of simultaneous interpreting have been unraveled. A significantly greater tension of the autonomic regulation is manifested by the simultaneous interpreters compared to the control group. It was most prominent when translation was done from the foreign language. The total level of stress during the performance on the linguistic tasks appeared to be higher in the control group. In the simultaneous interpreters, in contrast to the control group, there was registered a high activity level of the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems and a marked integration of the cardiac rhythm regulation circuits over the entire period of performing the linguistic tasks. The psychological tests have demonstrated a significantly more confident cognitive control relative to the control group. Thus, a specific functional system has been formed in the simultaneous interpreters providing a successful interaction of various information images (or codes) and consolidation of autonomic and cognitive resources during the performance on professional tasks. Lack of the necessary skills and, consequently, of the task-oriented functional system in the participants of the control group resulted in the enhancement of the non-specific (less effective) stress response.Peer reviewe

Coherent ultrafast spin-dynamics probed in three dimensional topological insulators

    Get PDF
Topological insulators are candidates to open up a novel route in spin based electronics. Different to traditional ferromagnetic materials, where the carrier spin-polarization and magnetization are based on the exchange interaction, the spin properties in topological insulators are based on the coupling of spin- and orbit interaction connected to its momentum. Specific ways to control the spin-polarization with light have been demonstrated: the energy momentum landscape of the Dirac cone provides spin-momentum locking of the charge current and its spin. The directionality of spin and momentum, as well as control with light has been demonstrated. Here we demonstrate a coherent femtosecond control of spin-polarization for states in the valence band at around the Dirac cone.Comment: 14 pages, 4 figure

The study of pollutant level of snow cover of the explored territory required establishment of more than 80 sample plots within the territory of several hundreds square kilometers including industrial area of Naberezhnye Chelny (steam power plants, JSC KAMAZ plants, etc.), which are exposed to intense human impact of the area of agroindustrial complex of the Tukai district, the part of "Lower Kama" national park area, and the territory of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny as well. Within the framework of the study snow sampling was carried out within these sample plots, its main features and contaminators' weight content were defined. Moreover, the results of long-term observations over snow cover state of the territory of the Naberezhnye Chelny (Lower Kama) urban agglomeration that allow - taking into account synoptic conditions by the end of cold period - forecasting the beginning of intense snow melting and planning snow-measuring measures and sampling correspondingly. To assess impact on environment, accumulated with snow and soil cover of pollutants, their inflow per unit area and per explored territory was estimated. Obtained results allowed to asses the snow cover contamination level by several complex indicators. The snow cover contamination level based on this data should be recognized as quite considerable: median value of contamination total index Kp5 is 15,1 that allow us to relate this territory to heavily polluted. Whereby partial coefficients of contamination with cooper and zinc, and manganese iron and nickel to a somewhat less degree, make a major contribution to this index

North-south asymmetry of geomagnetic and tropospheric events

The influences of the solar plasma on geomagnetic and atmospheric phenomena are considered. There are the north-south asymmetry in the reaction of the geomagnetic field, of the geopotential and of the pressure in the magnetically conjugate points relative to the direction of the interplanetary magnetic field. There are the synchronism between direction of the meridinal component of wind at the level of the tropopause and the direction of the interplanetary magnetic field. © 1974

Study on the Structure and Morphology of Iron Nanopowders Obtained by the Method of Electric Explosion of Wires

    Get PDF
This article presents the results of comprehensive study on the structure and morphology of iron nanopowders synthesized by electric explosive evaporation of metal wire. The results of scanning and transmission electron microscopy showed that nanoclusters have a spherical shape with an average diameter of 65 nm. It was revealed based on the analysis of the diffraction patterns that nanoparticles of nanopowders obtained in electric explosion have a crystal lattice with a parameter less than a standard cell. The results of computer experiments are in good agreement with the findings of X-ray analysis. However, the question about the reasons of distortion of the crystal lattice of nanoclusters remains controversial
