Shock structures in time averaged patterns for the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation
The Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation with fixed boundary conditions is
numerically studied. Shocklike structures appear in the time-averaged patterns
for some parameter range of the boundary values. Effective diffusion constant
is estimated from the relation of the width and the height of the shock

Quantum model for magnetic multivalued recording in coupled multilayers
In this paper, we discuss the possibilities of realizing the magnetic
multi-valued (MMV) recording in a magnetic coupled multilayer. The hysteresis
loop of a double-layer system is studied analytically, and the conditions for
achieving the MMV recording are given. The conditions are studied from
different respects, and the phase diagrams for the anisotropic parameters are

Statistical Inference for the Transformed Rayleigh Lomax Distribution with Progressive Type-II Right Censorship
In this paper, we study the transformed Rayleigh Lomax (Trans-RL) distribution which belongs to a certain family of two parameters lifetime distributions given by Wang et al (2010). Confidence intervals and inverse estimators of the Trans-RL parameters are derived in terms of order statistics. A simulation study is conducted to report the coverage probabilities, the average biases and the average relative mean square errors for the maximum likelihood, L-moments and inverse estimators. We compare the performance of these methods under different schemes of progressively Type-II right censoring. Finally, an illustrative example is provided to demonstrate the proposed methods

The CoO layers in sodium-cobaltates NaCoO may be viewed as
a spin triangular-lattice doped with charge carriers. The underlying
physics of the cobaltates is very similar to that of the high cuprates.
We will present unequivocal Co NMR evidence that below ,
the insulating ground state of the itinerant antiferromagnet

Enhancement of bulk second-harmonic generation from silicon nitride films by material composition
We present a comprehensive tensorial characterization of second-harmonic
generation from silicon nitride films with varying composition. The samples
were fabricated using plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition, and the
material composition was varied by the reactive gas mixture in the process. We
found a six-fold enhancement between the lowest and highest second-order
susceptibility, with the highest value of approximately 5 pm/V from the most
silicon-rich sample. Moreover, the optical losses were found to be sufficiently
small (below 6 dB/cm) for applications. The tensorial results show that all
samples retain in-plane isotropy independent of silicon content, highlighting

And Agronomical Characters on 18 Selected Genotypes of Bambara Groundnut (Vigna Subterranea (L.) Verdcourt)
In Indonesia, bambara groundnut (Vigna subterranea (L.) Verdcourt) is an unpopular and minor crops, but it has an important role in the food diversification program. Bambara groundnut contains high carbohydrate and protein with relatively low fat. Recently the demand of bambara groundnut began to increase the imbalance between supply and demand is an excellent chance to develop this crop. An effort to increase crop production through plant breeding programs require genetic variability of plant populations. The purpose of this research is to determine variability of morphological and agronomical characters on 18 selected genotypes of bambara groundnut. This research was conducted at the experimental field state on Jatikerto of Agriculture Faculty, University of Brawijaya, Malang. Research began December 2013 until May 2014. The research using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. The materials used 13 local genotypes come from Sumedang, Lamongan, Bangkalan and introduction genotypes from University of Kasetsart Thailand. The result of this research show that there were different variability of morphological character, except characters of pod shape and pigmentation on wings and banner flower. While there were different variability of agronomical characters, except characters of number of leaves. The value of genetic variability coeffisient on all characters were low, while the value of phenotip variability coefficient only in character results was quite high

static properties of nuclei within the framework of the relativistic mean-field
model. Systematic calculations show that and has the
same attracting role as hyperon does in lighter hypernuclei.
and hyperon has the attracting role only for the protons
distribution, and has a repulsive role for the neutrons distribution. On the
contrary, and hyperon attracts surrounding neutrons and
reveals a repulsive force to the protons. We find that the different effect of
different baryons impurities on the nuclear core is due to the different third

Possible superconductivity above 25 K in single crystalline Co-doped BaFeAs
We present superconducting properties of single crystalline
Ba(FeCo)As by measuring magnetization, resistivity,
upper critical field, Hall coefficient, and magneto-optical images. The
magnetization measurements reveal fish-tail hysteresis loop at high
temperatures and relatively high critical current density above
A/cm at low temperatures. Upper critical field determined by resistive
transition is anisotropic with anisotropic parameter 3.5. Hall effect
measurements indicate that Ba(FeCo)As is a
multiband system and the mobility of electron is dominant. The magneto-optical
imaging reveals prominent Bean-like penetration of vortices although there is a
slight inhomogeneity in a sample. Moreover, we find a distinct
superconductivity above 25 K, which leads us to speculate that higher
transition temperature can be realized by fine tuning Co-doping level.Comment: 4 pages, 5 figure
