Adolescents prefer to consume high fat and high sugar food compare to healthy food such as fruit and vegetable. High fat and high sugar food are risk factor of diabetes mellitus development, especially in adolescents whose parents had diabetes mellitus. The aim of this study was to analyze the difference of eating habit and nutritional status between adolescents with DM parents and non DM parents. This was a cross-sectional research included 42 adolescents as sample that divided into 21 adolescents with DM parents and 21 adolescents with non DM parents. The sample was chosen randomly using simple random sampling technique. The difference of each variable was analyzed using Independent T-test and Mann Whitney (α = 0,05). The result showed that there was no difference of high glycemic index food consumption (p = 0,229) and fruit – vegetable consumption (p = 0,14) between adolescents with DM parents and non DM parents. However, adolescents with DM parents were eat high GI food more often compared to adolescents with non DM parents. There was a difference of BMI (Body Mass Index) between adolescents with DM parents and non DM parents (p = 0,036). The research concludes that most of adolescents with DM parents were obese. The adolescents need to reduce the frequency of high glycemic index (GI) food consumption, increase fruits and vegetable consumption, and also increase physical activities, particularly for adolescent with DM parents

School children of the present day cohort are well aware of the internet and the online services provided in it. The influence of the smart phones and electronic gadgets are being infamous in the contemporary lives of children. Due to the existing Pandemic situation and subsequent quarantine measures, the use of widgets like Smartphones and laptops has been made inevitable. On this regard, the education institutions must undergo a relevant digitalisation to co-exist in accordance with the COVID-19 circumstances. The online education serves as a major step up in manifesting the spread of knowledge among young minds despite such adverse period. There are several online ventures that faced a boom during this period and might serve as a prelude to the new business era revolution over the next decade. Computerized information change, is a procedure that intends to improve an element by activating critical changes to its properties through mixes of data, registering, correspondence, and availability innovations. We intend to propound that the necessity of online study is about empowering the budding minds to thrive along with digital education and there by acquiring knowledge. This paper illustrates the significance of digital learning among students and the phenomenon of a future global transformation in education and also the importance of such concern, to emancipate their consternation to achieve their desired careers in future

Optical extinction in a single layer of nanorods

We demonstrate that almost 100 % of incident photons can interact with a monolayer of scatterers in a symmetrical environment. Nearly-perfect optical extinction through free-standing transparent nanorod arrays has been measured. The sharp spectral opacity window, in the form of a characteristic Fano resonance, arises from the coherent multiple scattering in the array. In addition, we show that nanorods made of absorbing material exhibit a 25-fold absorption enhancement per unit volume compared to unstructured thin film. These results open new perspectives for light management in high-Q, low volume dielectric nanostructures, with potential applications in optical systems, spectroscopy, and optomechanics

Stability and Radiation Damage of Protein Crystals as Studied by Means of Molecular Dynamics and Monte Carlo Simulation

Molecular Dynamics (MD) and Monte Carlo (MC) simulations of crystals can help in interpretation of experimental X-ray crystallography data. Particularly, they can be useful for understanding how various crystallization techniques affect protein conformational plasticity within the crystal lattice and the stability of biomolecular crystals. The latter has become especially important since the modern and extremely intense X-ray radiation sources (such as free electron lasers, FELs) appeared recently. In the present study we were able to show by means of computer simulations that the lysozyme crystals obtained using the Langmuir-Blodgett technique have an advantage over the classical ones (\u201cHanging Drop\u201d) in terms of their thermal stability as well as their stability against the radiation damage. We also demonstrate an important role of crystal water dynamics for stability of protein crystals
