Symmetries of degenerate center singularities of plane vector fields

Let $D$ be a closed unit $2$-disk on the plane centered at the origin $O$, and $F$ be a smooth vector field such that $O$ is a unique singular point of $F$ and all other orbits of $F$ are simple closed curves wrapping once around $O$. Thus topologically $O$ is a "center" singularity. Let also $\mathrm{Diff}(F)$ be the group of all diffeomorphisms of $D$ which preserve orientation and orbits of $F$. In arXiv:0907.0359 the author described the homotopy type of $\mathrm{Diff}(F)$ under assumption that the $1$-jet of $F$ at $O$ is non-degenerate. In this paper degenerate case is considered. Under additional "non-degeneracy assumptions" on $F$ the path components of $\mathrm{Diff}(F)$ with respect to distinct weak topologies are described.Comment: 21 page, 3 figure

Deformations of circle-valued Morse functions on surfaces

Let $M$ be a smooth connected orientable compact surface. Denote by $F(M,S^1)$ the space of all Morse functions $f:M\to S^1$ having no critical points on the boundary of $M$ and such that for every boundary component $V$ of $M$ the restriction $f|_{V}:V\to S^1$ is either a constant map or a covering map. Endow $F(M,S^1)$ with the $C^{\infty}$-topology. In this note the connected components of $F(M,S^1)$ are classified. This result extends the results of S. V. Matveev, V. V. Sharko, and the author for the case of Morse functions being locally constant on the boundary of $M$.Comment: 8 pages, 4 figure

Comparative assessment of periodontal tissue condition during prosthetics with different types of inserts for aesthetic crowns

The advantages of the restoration of chewing teeth with ceramic inlays and composite materials are determined by the favorable physical and mechanical properties of modern ceramics with zero water absorption, optimal coefficient of thermal expansion, low thermal conductivity, biological compatibility and chemical stability in the oral cavity.. It is ceramics that is considered the most chemically inert material, and even the components - wear products that appear during abrasion do not cause allergic or toxic reactions in the oral cavity or inflammation of the marginal gums. The aim of the study was to assess the state of the periodontal tissues of teeth restored with different types of inlay core and, thus, to predict the development of pathological processes in the tissues surrounding the restored root. The conducted clinical and laboratory studies showed the significant advantages of the method of manufacturing a hip insert made of ceramics developed by us. Thus, according to the results of a comparative study of the dynamics of the level of glycogen in the periodontal tissues of the roots of teeth restored under aesthetic crowns with the use of root tabs, it is obvious that the use of ceramic tabs during prosthetics with ceramic crowns does not cause inflammatory processes in the periodontal tissues, but after traumatic exposure by preparation and preparation of the tooth before prosthetics, recover quite quickly to the level of the indicator at the healthy gingival margin

Reparametrizations of vector fields and their shift maps

LetM be a smooth manifold, F be a smooth vector field on M, and (Ft) be the local flow of F. Denote by Sh(F) the subset of C^∞(M,M) consisting of maps h : M → M of the following form: h(x) = Fα(x)(x), where _ runs over all smooth functions M → R which can be substituted into F instead of t. This space often contains the identity component of the group of diffeomorphisms preserving orbits of F. In this note it is shown that Sh(F) is not changed under reparametrizations of F, that is for any smooth strictly positive function μ : M → (0,+∞) we have that Sh(F) = Sh(μF). As an application it is proved that F can be reparametrized to induce a circle action on M if and only if there exists a smooth function μ : M → (0,+∞) such that F(x, μ(x)) ≡ x

До питання методології когнітивної психології. (To the question of the methodology of cognitive psychology.)

У статті вказано, що когнітивна психологія як порівняно новий напрям в Україні потребує не лише прикладних розробок, а й досліджень фундаментального плану, зокрема спрямованих на теоретико-мето-дологічне осмислення психологічної практики, розробку системи категорій і понять когнітивної психології, теоретичних концепцій. Автори охарактеризували особливості методології когнітивної психології в контексті принципів та методів наукового пізнання. (The article indicated that cognitive psychology is a relatively new area in Ukraine needs not only in application development, but also fundamental research plan, including those aimed at the theoretical and methodological understanding of psychological practice, the development of a system of categories and concepts of cognitive psychology, theoretical concepts. The authors described features of the methodology of cognitive psychology in the context of the principles and methods of scientific knowledge.

Homotopy types of stabilizers and orbits of Morse functions on surfaces

Let $M$ be a smooth compact surface, orientable or not, with boundary or without it, $P$ either the real line $R^1$ or the circle $S^1$, and $Diff(M)$ the group of diffeomorphisms of $M$ acting on $C^{\infty}(M,P)$ by the rule $h\cdot f\mapsto f \circ h^{-1}$, where $h\in Diff(M)$ and $f \in C^{\infty}(M,P)$. Let $f:M \to P$ be a Morse function and $O(f)$ be the orbit of $f$ under this action. We prove that $\pi_k O(f)=\pi_k M$ for $k\geq 3$, and $\pi_2 O(f)=0$ except for few cases. In particular, $O(f)$ is aspherical, provided so is $M$. Moreover, $\pi_1 O(f)$ is an extension of a finitely generated free abelian group with a (finite) subgroup of the group of automorphisms of the Reeb graph of $f$. We also give a complete proof of the fact that the orbit $O(f)$ is tame Frechet submanifold of $C^{\infty}(M,P)$ of finite codimension, and that the projection $Diff(M) \to O(f)$ is a principal locally trivial $S(f)$-fibration.Comment: 49 pages, 8 figures. ПОНЯТТЯ ЕФЕКТИВНОСТІ РЕГІОНАЛЬНОЇ ПРОМИСЛОВОЇ ПОЛІТИКИ

At the theoretical and practical levels it has been proved that the mechanism of regional industrial policy should be adapted to the social and economic state of the region's development, taking into account the features of the economic structure and the state of provision of economic resources. There is a problem of searching for a variant of the most effective mechanism of regional industrial policy. Since there are no specific performance criteria for today, it is advisable to study in depth the concept of "the effectiveness of regional industrial policy."The aim of the article is to study the theoretical and practical aspects of the concept of "the effectiveness of regional industrial policy." The main part of the research is aimed at delineating the semantic load of the concepts "economic effect", "economic efficiency" and "productivity (productivity)."The essential characteristics of the concept of "the effectiveness of regional industrial policy" have been substantiated in the article. A model for assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of economic policy has been proposed.На теоретическом и практическом уровнях доказано, что механизм региональной промышленной политики должен быть адаптирован к социально-экономического состояния развития региона, учитывать особенности экономической структуры и состояние обеспечения экономическими ресурсами. Постає проблема пошуку варіанту найбільш ефективного механізму регіональної промислової політики. ESR modes in a Strong-Leg Ladder in the Tomonaga-Luttinger Liquid Phase

Magnetic excitations in the strong-leg quantum spin ladder compound (C$_7$H$_{10}$N)$_2$CuBr$_4$ (known as DIMPY) in the field-induced Tomonaga-Luttinger spin liquid phase are studied by means of high-field electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy. The presence of a gapped ESR mode with unusual non-linear frequency-field dependence is revealed experimentally. Using a combination of analytic and exact diagonalization methods, we compute the dynamical structure factor and identify this mode with longitudinal excitations in the antisymmetric channel. We argue that these excitations constitute a fingerprint of the spin dynamics in a strong-leg spin-1/2 Heisenberg antiferromagnetic ladder and owe its ESR observability to the uniform Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction
