e+ e- -> t anti-t H including decays: on the size of background contributions
We present results for the lowest order cross sections, calculated with the
complete set of the standard model Feynman diagrams, of all possible detection
channels of the associated production of the top quark pair and the light Higgs
boson, which may be used for determination of the top-Higgs Yukawa coupling at
the future e+e- linear collider. We show that, for typical particle
identification cuts, the background contributions are large. In particular, the
QCD background contributions are much bigger than could be expected when taking
into account a possibly low virtuality of exchanged gluons. Moreover, we
include the initial state radiation effects and discuss the dependence of the
cross sections on the Higgs boson and top quark masses.Comment: 13 pages, 1 figure; substantially revised version, accepted for

Maximal subextensions of plurisubharmonic functions
In this paper we are concerned with the problem of local and global
subextensions of (quasi-)plurisubharmonic functions from a "regular" subdomain
of a compact K\"ahler manifold. We prove that a precise bound on the complex
Monge-Amp\`ere mass of the given function implies the existence of a
subextension to a bigger regular subdomain or to the whole compact manifold. In
some cases we show that the maximal subextension has a well defined complex
Monge-Amp\`ere measure and obtain precise estimates on this measure. Finally we
give an example of a plurisubharmonic function with a well defined
Monge-Amp\`ere measure and the right bound on its Monge-Amp\`ere mass on the
unit ball in \C^n for which the maximal subextension to the complex
projective space \mb P_n does not have a globally well defined complex
Monge-Amp\`ere measure
Studying off mass shell and off resonance background effects in e+e-tott H
We discuss the reaction of associated production of the top quark pair and Higgs boson at the future International Linear Collider. We assume that the Higgs boson is light and hence, due to its very small decay width, it is produced on mass shell while the top quarks are produced off shell and they decay, each into 3 fermions. This causes a necessity of studying reactions with seven particles in the final state. Concentrating on one semileptonic channel of such reaction, we illustrate the off mass shell effects and calculate the off resonance background contributions. The latter are calculated with the use of a program carlomat for automatic computation of multiparticle cross sections
A characterization of quasi-rational polygons
The aim of this paper is to study quasi-rational polygons related to the
outer billiard. We compare different notions introduced, and make a synthesis
of those.Comment: 15 pages, 9 figure
Device to rehabilitate one’s Physical and Learning Abilities
This article presents an innovative device to rehabilitate people’s physical and learning abilities. We aim to substantiate the subject, review existing solutions, and explain the most important issues connected with rehabilitation. We describe the CAD-based conceptual design of the device, its dedicated software, selection of actuators, and construction of the device’s prototype, including its first tests. The device includes an original set of exercises, which can be individually set for every patient to improve his physical abilities, memory (both visual and auditory) and reflexes (i.e. reaction time to a stimulus). Rehabilitation exercises, which are performed in virtual reality and shown on a display screen, are additionally enhanced in real life by introducing obstacles and space restrictions, which the user faces while performing his tasks. Deliberate restrictions of one’s space in which to perform exercises is made possible not only due to the device’s original design, that is a four-frames construction, but also due to connectors with adjustable installation points, which enables positioning of obstacles to suit the current state of a patient. The prototype device and its original software have been designed to suit stroke convalescents and preschool children. First tests were carried out with preschool children and this article highlights the results of these tests. They included exercises, which were custom-made for children, such as a quiz, exercise to train one’s reflexes, visual memory, auditory memory and games involving music. Since the rehabilitation device utilizes unique technical solutions, a patent application has been filed for it
Partial pluricomplex energy and integrability exponents of plurisubharmonic functions
We give a sufficient condition on the Monge-Amp\`ere mass of a
plurisubharmonic function for to be locally integrable. This
gives a pluripotential theoretic proof of a theorem by J-P. Demailly.Comment: extended version with new results and more application
