ABSTRACT: Nowadays application specific soft processor cores are gaining importance for FPGA based embedded application in which user can configure the processor as per requirement. The architectural simplicity of ARM processors makes them suitable for low power applications. Hardware description languages (HDLs) are commonly used to construct hardware system. FPGA provides reconfigurable platform, so reuse of the design is a common practice to improve the productivity nowadays. In this paper the data processing instructions of ARM processor are implemented using Very high speed integrated circuit Hardware Description Language (VHDL) language and verified by applying test bench on Xilinx's Spartan III based FPGA. KEYWORDS: ARM, VHDL, FPGA, data processing instructions. I.INTRODUCTION The Arm processor has large uniform register file, load/store architecture, where data-processing operations only operate on register contents, not directly on memory contents. Simple addressing modes, with all load/store addresses being determined from register contents and instruction fields only Uniform and fixed-length instruction fields to simplify instruction decode [4] The FPGA based design reduces time to market & adds design flexibility and adaptability with optimal device utilization and conserving both less board space and system power, which is often not the possible in every case of ASIC chips. II. RELATED WORK The hardware debugging technology is integrated in ARM processor so that programmers can view what is happening during execution of code by processor. With this programmers can resolve issues very quickly and reduce time to market and overall development cost. The ARM is not pure RISC architecture because of various limitations of applications in embedded system. Nowadays Speed is not major constraint but power consumption and cost effective solutions are also playing vital rol

Background: US FDA defines: dietary supplements is a product that intended to supplement a person's diet, it's generally consist of at least one or more of the following dietary ingredients, vitamin, minerals, a herb or other botanical and amino acid by increasing the daily consumptions of an extract metabolite concentration, constitute or combinations of these medication. Excessive and inappropriate use of medicines has been recognised as a public health problem resulting in increased likelihood of adverse drug event, drug interaction, and inappropriate drug prescribing and increased cost. Material and Methods: This was the cross-sectional study conducted in year 2022 at Pimpri Chinchwad (Pune). The total 250 questionaires are distributed and from that 226 response were received. Target population consist of community pharmacists working in the drug store in this area (n=226). Results: Data was represented in three domains of study i. e. awareness, knowledge and attitude. Correlation coefficient using Pearson's method were determined to evaluate strength of correlation between awareness-knowledge, Knowledge-attitude and awareness-attitude. Correlation coefficient were calculated by comparing most relevant and equal number of questions. Conclusion: The study demonstrated positive attitude among surveyed community pharmacists in Pune, India. There is lacuna in accurate and adequate awareness, knowledge and attitude of vitamin deficiency, efficiency, recommended daily allowance (RDA), toxicity and interactions among pharmacist as one of the stakeholders of healthcare in India. Few of the remedies viz. framing of guidelines, inclusion in formal education syllabus, continuous education, updation exams etc. may be of use

1892-1896The polychelates of Cr(III), Mn(III), Fe(III), Ti(III ), VO(IV), Th(IV), Zr(IV ) and UO2 (VI) with bis-bidentate Schiff base derived from 4,4'-bis[salicylaldehyde-5)-azo] diphenyl methane and aniline have been synthesized. The resulting compounds have been characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, reflectance and infrared spectral studies, magnetic measurements and thermogravimetric analysis and are found to have the general formula [M (BPSADM) xH2O]n. The ligand (H2BPSADM) act as a bis-bidentate molecule coordinating through the phenolic oxygen and azomethine nitrogen atoms. The thermal data have been analyzed for the kinetic parameters by using Broido's method. The thermal stability of these chelates decreases in the order Zr>M n>Th>UO2>Cr>Ti>Fe>VO. The thermal activation energy lies in the range 38.68 to 55. 18 kj mol-1 and the decomposition follows first order kinetics. The solid state conductivity of the ligand and its polychelates have been studied over the temperature range 313-493 K and the chelates are found to show semiconducting behaviour. The activation energy of the electrical conduction lies in the range 0.912 to 0.315 eV. The ligand and its polychelates have also been screened for their antimicrobial activities using various microorganisms and all of them have been found to be moderately active against the organisms

Modulations in the Indian Summer Monsoon-ENSO teleconnections by the North Tropical Atlantic

No full text
International audienceNorth Tropical Atlantic Sea Surface Temperature (i.e., NTA SST) anomalies emerge as a key-driver of the whole El Niño Southern Oscillation-Indian Summer Monsoon (ENSO-ISM) system. However, as the underlying physical mechanisms are not yet well understood, this study made an attempt to have deeper insights on the role of the NTA SST variability on the ISM, ENSO and their mutual relationships. The evidences from observations and a Pi-Control coupled simulation demonstrate the pronounced biennial nature of the NTA-ENSO-ISM system and suggest the precursory role of the NTA SSTs in this biennial ENSO-ISM system. As the cause-and-effect relationships are difficult to disentangle, ensembles of short coupled sensitivity experiments are conducted by imposing observed warm (cold) SST anomalies over NTA. These 1-year simulations start from various January initial conditions corresponding to strong El Niño (La Niña) events as identified from Pi-Control and subsequently impose warm (cold) SST anomalies over the NTA region after the El Niño (La Niña) peak in January. The sensitivity experiments support the hypothesis of a key role of NTA SSTs in the reversal of the ENSO conditions through their capacitor effect. They further illustrate the nonlinear characteristics of this system as cold NTA SST perturbations are more influential than warm NTA SSTs. This non-linearity brings up new perspectives on the NTA-ENSO-ISM system, as it is further reflected in the asymmetric response in the simulated ENSO-ISM, with the cold NTA perturbations initiated from the La Niña conditions showing a stronger anomalous ISM response during boreal summer, which is in contrast with the feeble ISM response in the warm NTA perturbations experiment using the El Niño initial conditions. This non-linearity of NTA-ENSO-ISM has larger implications in a global warming scenario, as the climate variability over NTA region is projected to intensify in the future

The present paper seeks to examine the association between board characteristics and banks profitability. The study is based on convenience sampling of 10 Indian banks for the period from 2010 to 2019. Banks profitability is measured by return on assets, return on capital employed, profit after tax and return on net worth, while board of directors' characteristics is measured by board of directors' size, board of directors' composition, board of directors' diligence, board executive directors and board promoters. The study is used leverage, size, and liquidity as controlling variables. Fixed and random effects models are used for analyzing the data. The findings revealed that Total board size positively and significantly impacts return on assets, Return on capital employed, Profit after detecting tax and Return on net worth, while percentage of promoter negatively and insignificant impacts return on assets, Return on capital employed, profit after detecting tax and Return on net worth. The present study contributes to the existing literature by examining the impact of board characteristics which includes board promoters and executive directors on Indian banks profitability
