A one-dimensiunal n1l1nrncalmodel was developed to solve an unsaturated flaw equation for a soil prafik that represents a soil-plant-water system with a shallow water table above an impermeable layer. The diffusivity form of the Richard's equation was solved using Crank Nicalson implicit finite difference scheme and a general Newton-Raphson interative method. The model was used to simulate volume tric moisture content, capillary pressure, and position of water tab. It was also used to simulate the cumulative soil water depltion" within" the soil profile. Background: To compare intravenous labetalol with oral nifedipine in terms of rapidity at which they control blood pressure in acute hypertensive emergencies of pregnancy. Methods: A randomized controlled study. Pregnant women with severe gestational hypertension with BP ≥160/110 mmHg after ≥20 weeks of gestation were randomized with computer generated numbers, either to receive IV labetalol with an escalating dose of 20, 40, 80, 80 and 80 mg or nifedipine capsule orally in a dose of 10 mg every 15 minutes (upto 5 doses) until a BP of ≤150/100 mmHg is achieved. Crossover treatment was to be effected if initial treatment regimen was unsuccessful. Primary outcome was time taken and number of doses required to achieve the target BP of ≤150/100 mmHg. Secondary outcomes were volume of urine output, maternal heart rate changes, fetal heart rate abnormality, perinatal and maternal outcome and side effects. Results: Oral nifedipine achieved the target BP (≤150/100 mmHg) more rapidly in (26.25±12.60) minutes in comparison to (32.62±12.19) minutes with IV labetalol (p= 0.024). Nifedipine group also took less number of doses to achieve the target BP of (≤150/100 mmHg) mmHg than IV labetalol (1.75±0.840 vs. 2.18±0.83), p= 0.024. Volume of urine output was also significantly more in nifedipine group (94.90±1.84 ml) at 1 hour and thereafter till 24 hour of treatment in comparison to IV labetalol (41.28±2.14 ml), p= 0.000. Side effects are few and not serious. No patient required crossover treatment. Conclusions: Both the drugs are equally effective in controlling acute hypertensive emergencies of pregnancy, however oral nifedipine is more rapid in controlling severe hypertension and also it is associated with significantly increased urine output

In the recent past, artisanal small-scale gold mining activities in Kicuzi Subcounty, Ibanda District, Uganda, have had a severe influence on the environment and people's health. The study investigated the environmental and health impacts of small-scale. The questionnaires of 156 respondents were given to the Ibanda District's surrounding areas. The findings demonstrated that p-value is substantially associated with perception and the surroundings (p < 0.0005). The finding also demonstrates that p-value is substantially connected with the environment and health (p< 0.0005). The findings revealed that diarrhoea, skin illness, and injuries are the most common ailments in the population. As can be observed from the results, 75% of health workers admit that the health system in this municipality is not equipped to deal with mining-related health issues

This paper described a simple computation to reconstruct 3D surface using a single uncalibrated 2D image from a digital camera as an image acquisition device that also focused on fast processing. An object is placed on a table with black background for the digital camera to shoot an image of the object. Image segmentation methods are applied in order to obtain the shape of the object from silhouette. The concept Radon transform is adopted to generate sinograms of the object and it is then inverse Radon transform is used to construct 2D cross-section of the object layer by layer. Canny edge detection helps to get the outline of each cross-section and coordinate points are extracted forming 3D point cloud from the image slices. 3D surface of the object is then reconstructed using Delaunay triangulation to connect each point with another. The results obtained from this project are satisfying regarding the processing time with recognizable shape and also strengthened with considerably low percentage error in the calculation for all six objects used in the experiment

This research conducted to study the characteristics of daily rainfall and model making ofsynthetic daily rainfall in Pringsewu regency using periodic model, stochastic model and periodicstochastic models. This research conducted using daily rainfall data with length of 1984-2013from three rainfall stations, Pringsewu, Wonokriyo and Banyuwangi rainfall stations. These models performed by using 512 days annual data. Using rainfall frequency obtained andapplying the spectral method and the least squares method, it can be generated the daily rainfallperiodic models. Rainfall stochastic model assumed as the difference between rainfall data withperiodic rainfall models. Based on data from the series of stochastic, the component wascalculated using the approach of autoregressive models. Stochastic model was presented by usingthe autoregressive model of order three. Periodic stochastic model obtained by merging periodicmodel and stochastic model. Model validation and data obtained by calculating the correlationcoefficient. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that daily rainfall time seriescan be very significantly approximately recorded rainfall data. With the the average value ofcoefficient correlation of periodic model is 0.98019, coefficient correlation of stochastic model is0.99808, and coefficient correlation stochastic of periodic model is 0.9999

Shoreline profile has a tendency to adjust the wave effect on the shoreline. Changes to the lineconsists of two kinds of erosion and sedimentation. Waves that can affect shorlines rise due to theinfluence of the wind, the wind blowing duration and distance without hurdles when the windblows (fetch). The waves were coming to cause the migration of sediment on the shoreline. Ifwaves erode sediment on the shoreline, shoreline will occur erosion and if the waves bring sedi-ment to the shoreline, on the shoreline sedimentation will occur. For example there is the KelapaRapat Beach (Pesawaran). On the beach, there is a highway a short distance away from theshoreline. Potential erosion will occur at the shoreline can cause breakdown of the resulting ero-sion of sediment on the shoreline. Due to the potential, then do research using GENESIS programto be able to estimate the extent of erosion potential disruption accessibility having an effect waycontained in about Kelapa Rapat Beach
