New policies support the importance of Web accessibility, and promote the environment, products and services can be practical and can be used for what they are designed. The question is what to do to start in a different way to achieve the accessibility of education. A level of technology, both software and hardware technical support specialist, is being carried out numerous proposals from government and other private organizations. However, we can not forget the opportunity for distance education through elearning. Universal Accessibility to reach this level of integration of the user in the field of distance learning through the New Information Technologies and Communication. The purpose of this paper is to develop a common database at the international level, covering the lack of educational research in the field of e-accessibility and to provide an educational resource for the creation of learning materials for flexible environments education network (e-learning) to promote the integration of disabled people, specifically in the academic field

Steps to ensure a successful implementation of occupational health and safety: Interventions at an organizational level

    Get PDF
There is increasing meta-analytic evidence that addresses the positive impact of evidence-based occupational health and safety interventions on employee health and well-being. However, such evidence is less clear when interventions are approached at an organizational level and are aimed at changing organizational policies and processes. Given that occupational health and safety interventions are usually tailored to specific organizational contexts, generalizing and transferring such interventions to other organizations is a complex endeavor. In response, several authors have argued that an evaluation of the implementation process is crucial for assessing the intervention’s effectiveness and for understanding how and why the intervention has been (un)successful. Thus, this paper focuses on the implementation process and attempts to move this field forward by identifying the main factors that contribute toward ensuring a greater success of occupational health and safety interventions conducted at the organizational level. In doing so, we propose some steps that can guide a successful implementation. These implementation steps are illustrated using examples of evidence-based best practices reported in the literature that have described and systematically evaluated the implementation process behind their interventions during the last decade

This article belongs to the Special Issue Recent Advances in Technologies for Water and Wastewater Treatment[Abstract] This study reports the performance of a three-step lab-scale system including a hybrid digester (HD), a vertical flow (VF) constructed wetland, and a photodegradation (PD) lamp, with two different arrangements regarding the position of the recirculation point. In addition to total suspended solids (TSS), chemical oxygen demand (COD), and nitrogen compounds, removal of the following pollutants was investigated: paracetamol (ACE), ofloxacin (OFL), caffeine (CAF), ketoprofen (KET), ibuprofen (IBU), clofibric acid (ACB), bisphenol A (BPA), and sotalol (SOT). An excellent performance of HD was achieved on the elimination of TSS (82.2 ± 18.5% on average) and COD (63.9 ± 4.1%). TSS and COD removal increased to 91.2 ± 0.4% and 83.4 ± 2.9%, respectively, for the combined HD–VF system. Ammonia removal was 57.0 ± 7.8% in the VF unit while significant denitrification occurred in the HD. The overall HD–VF–PD system achieved mean removals of 100% for OFL, KET, SOT, and IBU, 98 ± 2% for ACE, 87 ± 8% for CAF, 81 ± 38% for ACB and 26 ± 9% for BPA. The removal of ACE, OFL, CAF, and IBU was mostly by biodegradation in the HD and VF units while the PD unit was responsible for the removal of KET, ACB, and SOT.This research is part of the project CTQ2015-71238-R (MINECO/FEDER, funded by the Spanish Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad), the project TED2021-132667B-I00 funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by the European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTR, and projects GPC ED431B 2020/52 and GPC ED431B 2019/44 (funded by the Xunta de Galicia)Xunta de Galicia; ED431B 2020/52Xunta de Galicia; ED431B 2019/4

The characterization of their learning is an important topic in the field of research in mathematics education. In this paper we adopt a sociocultural perspective, through an inductive analysis identified different situations of learning. Such situations are characterized by the theoretical tools from the sociocultural perspective when groups of students solve tasks in a geometric context. The results show that certain routines play an important role in the processes of change in mathematical discours

Parallel implementation of fuzzy minimals clustering algorithm

    Get PDF
Clustering aims to classify different patterns into groups called clusters. Many algorithms for both hard and fuzzy clustering have been developed to deal with exploratory data analysis in many contexts such as image processing, pattern recognition, etc. However, we are witnessing the era of big data computing where computing resources are becoming the main bottleneck to deal with those large datasets. In this context, sequential algorithms need to be redesigned and even rethought to fully leverage the emergent massively parallel architectures. In this paper, we propose a parallel implementation of the fuzzy minimals clustering algorithm called Parallel Fuzzy Minimal (PFM). Our experimental results reveal linear speed-up of PFM when compared to the sequential counterpart version, keeping very good classification quality.Ingeniería, Industria y Construcció
