    The aim of this research is to increase of the welfare of most people in the research area of the object, ie in Masaran Subdistrict, Sragen, Central Java, by encouraging the batik industry in that area. So far, most people living in Masaran, Sragen, work in the batik industry as labor. This research were conducted in two Small-Scale Medium Businesses (SMBs) in that Subdistrict, ie Batik Morinda and Sadewa. Those batik those companies have advantages in the production process. Both of them use natural coloring material (not the chemical stuff). Therefore their products are more natural, environmental-friendly and have high interest in the international market. The research problems are: a) The source of raw materials are difficult to be Obtained (only available in some areas are far from Sragen roomates). b)Limited production capacity due to limited production tools. c) The ability of available human resources is the minimum. d) Traditional business management. e)Limited and less inovative batik designs. In overall, the pattern used in the implementation method of this activity includes: discussion, workshop/studio work, factory operating, training and mentoring (groups/ individuals). The steps in the implementation of science and technology are: team discussion with the SMEs regarding the development of batik designs roomates have high interest in the market and unavailable in the SME, designing machines (feeder) roomates are needed for production, managerial trainings (accounting, marketing, human resources) and techinal trainings in order to increase of the ability/skill of the workers. Besides, the Efforts to develop the usage of natural coloring materials are more encouraged by assisting the SMEs in providing access to the source of raw materials and lab testings.     This study aims to determine the application of Model Learning Course Review horay Against Student Learning Outcomes In Subjects Economy Class X SMAN 1 Teluk Keramat Kabupaten Sambas. The method used was a quasi-experimental methods (Quasy experiments).The study population was a tenth grade students who are 80 members, namely the class XA and XD SMAN 1 Teluk Keramat Kabupaten Sambas academic year 2012/2013. XA class consists of 40 students be given the experimental class and Review Course horay learning models, while the XD class numbered 40 students made ??the grade given control and conventional learning. The average score of students using learning model horay Review Course for 74.62 higher than the average score of the students using the conventional learning model for 67.75. Based on the test results of independent sample t test significance value <0.05 (0.04 <0.05), then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. So it can be concluded that there are differences in learning outcomes between the experimental class students with classroom control

    This study aims to determine the effect of parental income to the level of education of children in the village of Kubu Raya Sungai Asam. The method used in this research is descriptive method with the form of research studies the relationship.Sources of data in this study is the parents who have children of school age in the formal village Kubu Raya Sungai Asam. The data collection technique is a technique of direct communication , indirect communication and documentary studies. Data collection tools are interview, questionnaire and a notebook. Data processing techniques using regretion linear regression. The results showed that the income of parents have an influence on children\u27s education level is indicated by the formulation of Y = -2.004 + 1,089X. Based on calculations using SPSS 16, resulting that tarithmetic> ttable is ( 6899 > 2.0066 ). Therefore tarithmetic> ttable then Ha accepted and Ho rejected , which means there is the influence of parents\u27 income to the level of education of children in the village of acid river and have the effect of 47.8%

    Ekstraksi dan Uji Kestabilan Pigmen Betasianin dalam Kulit Buah Naga (Hylocereus Polyrhizus) Serta Aplikasinya sebagai Pewarna Tekstil

    Kulit buah naga merupakan limbah makanan yang belum dimanfaatkan dan dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber pigmen merah alami karena mengandung pigmen betasianin. Pigmen betasianin dapat diaplikasikan sebagai pewarna tekstil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengekstrak pigmen betasianin dalam kulit buah naga dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 80% lalu ekstrak pigmen betasianin yang diperoleh diaplikasikan sebagai pewarna tekstil dengan proses pencelupan. Ekstrak pigmen betasianin dianalisis menggunakan spektrometri visible dan dilakukan uji kestabilan pigmen betasianin terhadap temperatur dan pH. Uji kestabilan terhadap temperatur dilakukan dengan variasi temperatur 25°C, 40°C, 60°C, 80°C and 100°C, sedangkan uji kestabilan terhadap pH dilakukan dengan variasi pH 2.5; 3.5; 4.5; 5.5; 6.5; 7.5; 8.5 and 9.5. Ekstrak yang diperoleh diuji kestabilannya dengan perlakuan pemanasan dan dipaparkan sinar matahari kemudian dilakukan penguapan pelarut dan ekstrak dapat diaplikasikan pada kain dengan metode mordanting dan pencelupan langsung. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah ekstrak pigmen betasianin dengan rendemen 3,735%. Ekstrak pigmen betasianin paling stabil pada temperatur 25°C dan pada pH 4,5. Ekstrak yang diperoleh stabil terhadap pemanasan dan paparan sinar matahari serta dapat diaplikasikan terhadap kain. Pigmen betasianin menimbulkan warna yang dapat menempel pada kain dengan baik

    The Effect of Teaching Skills Teachers to Student Motivation of Class XI IPS Talino Catholic High School. This study aimed to determine the effect of teaching skills of teachers to motivate students of class XI IPS Talino Catholic High School. The research method used is descriptive shape is a causal association studies. Based on the calculation of the overall score obtained observations in providing skill reinforcement, explaining skills, and classroom management skills in the excellent category with an average value of 3.65. Further motivation to study is good enough based on the results of questionnaire processing using SPSS 16.0 and teacher interviews to economic subjects. Based on the hypothesis test t hitung (4,289) > t tabel (2,109816), thus Ha accepted. As for the influence of independent variables to (X) on the dependent variable (Y) is equal to 50.5%. This means teaching skills of teachers influence student motivation

    Penyebab gangguan pendengaran pada tenaga kerja adalah kebisingan yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan di lingkungan kerja seperti mesin industri atau mesin kendaraan yang dikemudikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang berhubungan dengan timbulnya gangguan pendengaran akibat bising pada tenaga kerja di PT. PLN Wilayah Sulsel, Sultra dan Sulbar Unit PLTD Pembangkitan Tello Makassar . Jenis penelitian adalah survey analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional study adalah 52 pekerja yang dipilih dengan menggunakan Exhaustive Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 12 responden yang mengalami ganggguan pendengaran (23,1%). Beberapa variabel yang diteliti pada kategori umur tua yang mengalami ganggguan pendengaran yaitu 2 pekerja (33,3%) dan kategori umur muda 10 pekerja (21,7%) nilai p value = 0,612, Masa kerja baru terdapat 2 pekerja (14,3,0%) yang mengalami gangguan pendengaran dan masa kerja lama terdapat 10 orang (26,3%) nilai p value = 0,475, kategori lama kerja yang tidak memenuhi syarat yang mengalami gangguan pendengaran sebanyak 1 orang (11,1%) dan kategori lama kerja yang memenuhi syarat sebanyak 11 orang (25,6%) nilai p value =0,666, pekerja dengan intensitas bising melebihi NAB yang mengalami gangguan sebanyak 11 orang (29,7%) dan 1 orang (6,7%) yang intensitas bising tidak melebihi NAB nilai p value = 0,143. Terdapat 9 pekerja (39,1%) dengan penggunaan APT tidak sesuai yang mengalami gangguan pendengaran dan 3 orang dengan penggunaan APT sesuai nilai p value = 0,021, pekerja yang tingkat pengetahuan kurang yang mengalami gangguan pendengaran 4 pekerja (16,7%) dan 20 orang (83,3%) yang tingkat pengetahuan cukup nilai p value = 0,346. Berdasarkan analisis statistik diperoleh bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi gangguan pendengaran adalah penggunaan APT sedangkan yang tidak mempengaruhi gangguan pendengaran adalah umur, masa kerja, lama kerja dan intensitas bising

    ABSTRAK\ud Gangguan muskuloskeletalmerupakan gangguan yang paling sering ditemukan pada hampir semua jenis pekerjaan baik ringan, sedang maupun berat. Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan gangguan muskuloskeletal pada cleaning service di RSUP dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar tahun 2013. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian observasi analitik dengan pendekatan pontong lintang (Cross Sectional Study).teknik penarikan sampel diambil dengan metode exhaustive sampling.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa angka kejadian muskuloskeletal berat pada cleaning service di RSUP Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar Tahun 2013 adalah sebesar 49,1% dan ringan sebesar 50,9%. Berdasarkan variabel umur (p = 0,000 < 0,05), jenis kelamin (p =0,051 < 0,05), , masa kerja (p = 0,000 < 0,05) dan sikap kerja (p = 0,000 < 0,05) menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan dengan gangguan muskuloskeletal, sedangkan lama kerja (p = 0,686 > 0,05) menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan dengan gangguan muskuloskeletal.Sikap kerja yang ergonomis dalam melakukan pekerjaaan harus diperhatikan agar dapat mengurangi gangguan muskuloskeletal baik ringan maupun berat, Tenaga kerja yang yang tergolong dalam kelompok tua serta yang masa kerjanya > 3 tahun sebaiknya memperhatikan kesegaran jasmaninya

    Application of Foamed Concrete and Cold-Formed Steel Decking as Lightweight Composite Slabs: Experimental Study On Structural Behaviour

    Foamed concrete composite slabs (FCCS) are currently enjoying great popularity in the construction industry. Unlike conventional composite slabs, FCCS has an advantage in solving the selfweight penalty. With the advanced research in concrete technology, foamed concrete with sufficient strength properties &nbsp;to meet the requirements of standard code of practise has been successfully introduced. Foamed concrete is known for its lightweight and versatility. This paper presents an experimental study on ultimate load, maximum deflection and failure mode of FCCS. Of interest are the effects of dry density and slab thickness. The slab specimens with a span of 1800 mm, a width of 840 mm and different thicknesses from 100 mm to 150 mm were prepared for the three-point bending test. The dry density of foamed concrete is 1400 kg/m3, 1600 kg/m3, and 1800 kg/m3, which has a compressive strength of about 20 MPa to 40 MPa. Dry density and slab thickness have been observed to have significant effects on ultimate load and maximum deflection. Higher dry density of foamed concrete provides better slip resistance and thus reduces shear bond failure. On the other hand, slab specimens with a higher slab thickness tend to have better bearing capacity due to greater bending stiffness. The main failure mode is dominated by localised bending on the profiled steel deck, slip-displacement and fracture of the foamed concrete
