IOT BASED ALCOHOL DETECTION FOR INDUSTRY WORKERS
Nowadays there are so many accidents happening in the industries (Mechanical, chemical) due to the workers who consume alcohol during their work period. In order to prevent and reduce the rate of accidents happening in the industry, there are few preventive measures which has been evolved. Now we use new methods and technology for detecting the alcohol consumption of the worker. For this we use alcohol sensor which is placed along with the biometric attendance system. The workers have to pass the alcohol detection test then only they can able to proceed for their biometric attendance. If the worker does not pass the alcohol detection test then that worker would not be able to register for the biometric attendance system. This alcohol detection system is kept in a room that capable of detecting only one person at a time

The diabetes was poorly controlled, making the progression to end stage renal failure in concern patients. They measure the prevention of urinary albumin excretion, development of renal abrasion, smoking termination, strict glycaemic control and initiating lipid lowering therapy
Idiopathic multilocular thymic cyst-an incidental anterior mediastinal mass
Acquired thymic cyst are multilocular and they occur de novo or in association with mediastinal neoplasm, systemic autoimmune diseases and trauma. Here, we report a case of acquired multilocular thymic cyst due to non-specific inflammatory etiology in a 42-year old gentleman and our approach to diagnosis and management of anterior mediastinal mass. With no specific clinical symptom, he was diagnosed with anterior mediastinal mass incidentally by imaging studies. Definitive diagnosis of multilocular thymic cyst was obtained by tissue diagnosis of the anterior mediastinal mass resected during the surgery
A prospective study on outcome of function after proximal row carpectomy
Background: Proximal row carpectomy (PRC) is a procedure with varied indications. The purpose of this study was to evaluate functional outcomes with PRC in wrist flexion deformities, neuromuscular disorders and also post-traumatic wrist arthritis. Methods: A prospective study was performed on all patients who underwent PRC between April 2015 and December 2017, in BIRRD (T) hospital, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh with a minimum follow up of 6 months. Outcome was assessed in terms of range of motion (ROM), grip strength, quick disabilities of the arm, shoulder, and hand (QDASH) score and pain score. Data was analyzed using the Student t-test.Results: Thirty-two patients underwent PRC of which 12 are neuromuscular disorders, 10 are wrist flexion deformities, 10 are post-traumatic wrist arthritis. On the final follow-up, significant improvement in ROM was observed in wrist flexion deformities and neuromuscular disorders, whereas grip strength and QDASH scores showed a significant difference in post-traumatic wrist arthritis. Pain was studied only in post-traumatic wrist arthritis, all were very much pleased with pain reduction. Conclusions: PRC is fairly a reliable procedure for all the indications in our study. We consider that PRC is a promising procedure in correcting wrist flexion deformities. Though there has been significant improvement in all the parameters for all the cases, we consider this procedure is best suited for post-traumatic arthritis group
Functional and radiological outcome of surgical treatment of distal tibial fracture by minimally invasive percutaneous plate osteosynthesis technique
Background: Minimally invasive percutaneous plate osteosynthesis (MIPPO) is an established technique for fixation of fractures of the distal third tibia. Aim of our study was to manage extraarticular fractures of the distal third tibia by the minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis technique and follow them prospectively. Clinical and radiological outcomes were studied and clinical indications & efficacy of the procedure reviewed. Methods: From June 2018 to June 2019,25 patients of closed distal tibial fractures were operated by MIPPO technique with a distal tibial anatomical locking plate having 4.5 out of 5 proximal and 3.5 out of 4 distal screw holes. The follow up duration was for 1 year. Results: The mean fracture healing time was 17 weeks (range 16 to 32 weeks) and average The American orthopedic foot and ankle score was 88.2 out of a total possible 100 points. At last follow up, superficial infection occurred in 3 patients, deep infection in 1 patient, ankle stiffness in 1 patient, limb length discrepancy <1 cm in 1 patient and malunion in 2 patients. Conclusions: MIPPO technique provides good bone healing and decreases incidence of non-union and need for bone grafting. This technique should be used in distal tibia fractures where locked nailing cannot be done like fractures with small distal metaphyseal fragments, vertical splits, markedly comminute fractures

A Context-Responsive LSTM based IoT Enabled E- Healthcare Monitoring System for Arrhythmia Detection
Detecting Arrhythmia, a life-threatening cardiac condition, in real-time is crucial for timely intervention and improved healthcare outcomes. Traditional manual methods for Arrhythmia detection using Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals are error-prone and resource-intensive. To address these limitations, this paper presents an automated system based on the Context Responsive Long Short-Term Memory (CR-LSTM) model for real-time Arrhythmia classification. The system leverages IoT technology to continuously monitor vital signs and effectively combines contextual information with temporal sensor data to accurately discern different types of Arrhythmias. The CR-LSTM model achieves an impressive accuracy of 99.72% in multiclass classification of Arrhythmias, making it a promising solution for dynamic healthcare settings and proactive personalized care
A Study on Lapsation of Insurance Polices of Select Insurance Companies
Purpose: Lapsation is the discontinuation of payment of premia for reasons other than the death of a policy holder. A majority of insurance companies notice that half of their policyholders do not pay their insurance premia regularly leading to an increase in lapsation of policies. Increase in lapsation not only affects the policyholders’ welfare but also insurance companies’ business growth. So, the present study was carried out to determine where lapsation rate is high and to offer solutions to reduce the rate of lapsation.
Â
Design/Methodology/Approach: The present study is descriptive in nature. A carefully constructed questionnaire was used to gather the study's pertinent data. Data were collected from life insurance company employees in Tamilnadu using the convenience sampling method. The questionnaire includes inquiries about different policy kinds, distribution methods, agent information, and different commission structures.
Â
Findings: Result of cross tabulation discloses that high rate of lapsation rate is noticed with term and endowment insurance policies both at LIC and private insurance companies. High rate of lapsation is noticed under insurance policies distributed by direct sale teams of insurance companies. Further, it is noticed that lapsation rate is high in Private insurance companies, where insurance agents receive low commission. Lapsation rate is low at Public and Private Insurance companies, where insurance agents receive high and moderate level of commission.Â
Â
Practical Implications: The result of the study will be immensely useful to policyholders in particular and insurance companies in general. Reduction in policy lapsation rate will assist policyholder to reap the benefit of availing insurance policies and aids life insurance companies to expand their business volume to a greater extent.
