    Get PDF
Globally, the construction industry is one of the most environmentally catastrophic industries, with a significant effect on the raw materials usage, their commitment of use throughout their whole life cycle, and the atmosphere in which they work. Between 1950 and 2010, global average material consumption rose from 5.0 t to 10.3 ton per capita per year, owing to population growth, industrialization, and increased socio-economic strength. Moreover, this industry uses 35% of produced energy and releases 40% of carbon dioxide into the Earth's atmosphere. One hundred fifty million tons of CDW is made in India according to the BMPTC, and less than 1% is reutilized properly added to that the 55% of total solid waste in India are from the construction industry. The waste produced during the demolition can be well utilized if managed and appropriately recovered, which directly reduces the virgin raw material usage in the new construction, decreasing the amount ending in the landfill. This study aims to understand the strategies and technology for material recovery after the building's life. The literature review will be taken up to list the different strategy in practice for material recovery. The techniques for material recovery are discussed to understand more in detail. This research helps find the other methods for material recovery and equipment and technology during the demolition and reconstruction of the RCC framed structure. The bottlenecks in the adoption of the various strategy are studied in this research

This study aims to find out how far villagers and illiterates are aware of HIV in 104 patients both men women belonging to rural area around suryapet district. Non – co-operative and pregnant women are excluded from the study. Data collection was done in the period from December 8th to January 13th and analysed there education and occupational status and we found very interestingly more than 90% of the patients are not aware of HIV and its consequences and many of them don’t what is HIV and how can it will be prevented, many of the patients are spreading HIV to their spouse without unknowing that is sexually transmissible. Few patients don’t know that HIV will cause from undisposed needles. Interestingly whoever said they are affected due to un-disposed needles are not drug abusers they are affected due to malpractice done by RMPs who are using multiple use of single needle. And very few answered that HIV will transmitted through blood transfusion after they get affected. The people whoever effected mostly belongs to daily wage labour, farmers and truck drivers. So there is need to create awareness in villagers and illiterates to prevent further progression of disease and to prevent the transmission of disease to younger generation

Philosophies are the foundation for any science, the primary inquest for any science actually starts from philosophy. Whatever scientific theories have been laid today are the transformed versions of philosophy only, Ayurveda being a philosophical science has proven its relevance till date, because of its thumping philosophical background. The philosophy of Shadpadartha is the common root for Indian philosophies and Ayurveda, Dravya or substance/matter is considered to be the foremost Padartha by Vaisheshika philosophers, though Ayurveda has placed it after Samanya, Vishesha and Guna, it has given utmost importance to it because of its applicability and supremacy in Chikitsa. Charaka Samhita has emphasized the importance of the Karana Dravyas for the homeostasis of body tissue and thus maintaining good state of health, the Nine Karana Dravyas viz, Pancha Mahabhuta, Atma, Manas, Kaala and Disha/ Dik or Desha are the materialistic causes for the creation and health

Performance Comparison of Static CMOS and Domino Logic Style in VLSI Design: A Review

    Get PDF
Of late, there is a steep rise in the usage of handheld gadgets and high speed applications. VLSI designers often choose static CMOS logic style for low power applications. This logic style provides low power dissipation and is free from signal noise integrity issues. However, designs based on this logic style often are slow and cannot be used in high performance circuits. On the other hand designs based on Domino logic style yield high performance and occupy less area. Yet, they have more power dissipation compared to their static CMOS counterparts. As a practice, designers during circuit synthesis, mix more than one logic style judiciously to obtain the advantages of each logic style. Carefully designing a mixed static Domino CMOS circuit can tap the advantages of both static and Domino logic styles overcoming their own short comings

Endometrial cancer is the seventh most common cancer in women worldwide with and age standardized rate of 8.4 per 100,000 women. Epigenetic alterations such as promoter hypermethylation of TSGs are known to be early events in carcinogenesis. The aim of the present study, we assessed the aberrant promoter hypermethylation pattern of RAR-β in 78 endometrial cancer samples. Methods: DNA was isolated from endometrial carcinoma samples and normal tissues and aberrant promoter hypermethylation was assessed using nested and methylation specific PCR. Chi square test was used for statistical analysis and a p-value<0.05 was considered to be statistically significant. Results: 40 of the 78 (51.28%) endometrial carcinoma sample showed aberrant hypermethylation of RAR-β gene. Methylation status in each histological subtype, grade and stage of the disease was also assessed. Conclusion: Aberrant hypermethylation is an important early epigenetic alteration that occurs during tumorigenesis. The Data shown here reports that promoter hypermethylation of RAR-β occurs in endometrial carcinoma and therefore could be used as a potential marker for early diagnosis and prognosis of the disease

Introduction: Endometrial cancer is one of the most common cancers in women worldwide. The underlying cause of endometrial tumorigenesis remains elusive. Several genetic and epigenetic alterations are known to be involved in the carcinogenesis of endometrial carcinoma. One important and early epigenetic alteration that is attributed to endometrial carcinoma is the aberrant promoter hypermethylation of gene promoters. In this study, we have assessed the aberrant promoter hypermethylation of APC and BRCA1 in 78 endometrial cancer samples. Methods: Histologically confirmed tumour tissue samples were obtained post-surgery and DNA was extracted. The DNA was subjected to sodium bisulfite conversion and used as a template for a polymerase chain reaction. The PCR was performed using a nested PCR followed by methylation specific PCR. Results: A 33.33% and 46.15% methylation frequency was observed for APC and BRCA1 genes respectively. A higher percentage of methylation was observed in stage IV for APC (66.66%) and in stage II for BRCA1 (88.88%). Conclusion: Aberrant promoter hypermethylation is an early event in endometrial carcinoma and can serve as a useful molecular marker for diagnosis and prognosis of the disease along with existing screening modalities

The last few years have seen advances in radar signal generation and processing techniques with the development of powerful hardware and software. The key objective in designing a pulsed radar system is to attain a good range resolution and achieve maximum range detection. Pulse compression is a technique of signal processing that offers the advantages of greater range resolution capability as in case of short duration pulse and larger range detection capability of long duration pulse. Pulse compression using Linear Frequency Modulation (LFM) is a prevalent method in modern radar. In this proposed design, the LFM waveforms are generated using Direct Digital Synthesizer (DDS) technique. A carry save adder is used to optimize adder operations. The high speed adder architecture provides a greater system performance. This approach has been implemented on a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) for the Radar applicationFPGA Implementation of Linear Frequency Modulation (LFM) Waveforms for Rada
