All of automotive companies around the world are aggressively producing large number of motorized vehicles, especially cars. A car is a transportation mode that is widely used by the middle and upper class. The large number of cars uses cannot be separated from the needs for maintenance of the vehicle itself. Lubricant is the core of engine maintenance on vehicles. Therefore, the demand for lubricants continues to increase due to the increasing demand for cars. Bandar Lampung, for the example, is increasing in the term of the city’s population that is affecting its number of people who own cars. This phenomenon caused the demand for lubricants to increase significantly, so that many lubricant distributors were overwhelmed by this demand. Seeing this opportunity, the RWM Logistics, which is a new Third Party Logistics (3PL) company with value added service is lubricant packaging, has a plan to build a lubricant storage facility in Bandar Lampung. In designing the facility, the company has to decide the layout design, area requirements, material handling planning, and the operational costs. The development of this facility is expected to help the company to meet the demand of lubricant products that were not covered by other distributors

This study aims to find a set of vehicles routes with the minimum total transportation time for pharmaceutical distribution at PT. XYZ in West Jakarta. The problem is modeled as the capacitated vehicle routing problem (CVRP). The CVRP is known as an NP-Hard problem. Therefore, a simulated annealing (SA) heuristic is proposed. First, the proposed SA performance is compared with the performance of the algorithm form previous studies to solve CVRP. It is shown that the proposed SA is useful in solving CVRP benchmark instances. Then, the SA algorithm is compared to a commonly used heuristic known as the nearest neighborhood heuristics for the case study dataset. The results show that the simulated Annealing and the nearest neighbor algorithm is performing well based on the percentage differences between each algorithm with the optimal solution are 0.03% and 5.50%, respectively. Thus, the simulated annealing algorithm provides a better result compared to the nearest neighbour algorithm. Furthermore, the proposed simulated annealing algorithm can find the solution as same as the exact method quite consistently. This study has shown that the simulated annealing algorithm provides an excellent solution quality for the problem

The concept of Production Planning and Control is closely related to logistics activities, including in determining the production of a product. Production planning and control aims to get a complete picture of how to plan and control production in the industry of each company, so that all costs can be reduced. Production planning, Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP), Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Capacity Requirement Planning (CRP), and Line Balancing are some of the steps that need to be done in providing an overview of the production planning and control system at the "Tamiya" Company. Production planning results in the amount of "Tamiya" production in a certain period by considering SEE and the most appropriate production strategy that results in total costs. MPS validation considerations are the output of the RCCP calculation, a comparison of the ratio of the required capacity to the capacity of the company. The MRP stage reduces production due to material unavailability, the result is the best material scheduling based on the lot sizing method which provides the lowest cost. CRP generates Planned Input and Planned Output per work station to see the balance between load and capacity. Line Balancing functions to balance assignments through the Ranking Position Weight (RPW) and Presedence Diagram methods, getting results in the form of updating the layout of the assignment so that the efficiency of the production line can be improved  Konsep Perencanaan dan Pengendalian Produksi erat kaitannya dengan aktivitas logistik, tak terkecuali dalam menentukan produksi sebuah produk.

In the realm of B2C (Business to Customer) company marketing, it is imperative to focus on sales and customer satisfaction. To uphold customer contentment, B2C enterprises must strategically position their delivery facilities to optimize efficiency and minimize both time and operational expenditures. PT ABC, a B2C entity specializing in the distribution of packaged goods, currently faces challenges in handling a substantial volume of requests, some of which are situated far from their distribution centers. This predicament leads to elevated fulfillment costs and an inefficient operational process. Consequently, the relocation of distribution center facilities becomes a necessity. The relocation process will be executed employing the P-Median method, facilitated by LINGO software. The P-Median analysis yielded three potential new locations: Cikupa, Jombang Wetan, and Bencongan Indah. Subsequently, further assessment through the resolution of the MTCVRP (Multitrip Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem) with the aid of ArcGIS software was conducted. As a result, Jombang Wetan emerged as the optimal candidate, exhibiting a remarkable reduction of 165.7 kilometers or a 31.33% decrease in average mileage. This choice promises a more efficient and effective product distribution operation

Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP) is known as an NP-hard problem. It is because CVRP problems are very hard for finding optimal solutions, especially in large instances. In general, the NP-hard problem is difficult to solve in the exact method, so the metaheuristic approach is implemented in the CVRP problem to find a near-optimal solution in reasonable computational time. This research uses the DPSO algorithm for solving CVRP with ten instances of benchmark datasets. DPSO implementation uses tuning parameters with the One Factor at Time (OFAT) method to select the best DPSO parameters. The outcome objective function will be compared with several PSO models proposed in previous studies. Statistical test using One Way Reputed Measure ANOVA is needed to compare algorithm performance. First, ANOVA uses for comparing’s results. Then, ANOVA is also used to test DPSO’s performance compared with DPSO-SA, SR-1, and SR-2 algorithm. The computational result shows that the basic DPSO algorithm not competitive enough with other methods for solving CVRP
