n the economic life of companies, various financial difficulties can appear, regardless of their object of activity, domain, geographical area, or geopolitical context. The economic reality proved that managing individual difficulties one at a time has little chance of succeeding; because of this, there are international concerns in establishing the regulatory framework and identifying instruments to ensure that the firm can overcome the financial difficulty. Concerns in this sense have been explicitly mentioned for the first time by the World Bank when Principles for effective insolvency and creditor/debtor regime were established in 2001. Recently, the European Parliament has elaborated the EU Directive 2019/1023 regarding the framework of preventive restructuring, debt remittance, and forfeiture of law, besides measures to increase the efficiency of restructuring procedures, insolvency, and debt remittance, which modifies the EU Directive 2017/1132 regarding restructuring and insolvency. While implementing the EU Directive of restructuring in national legislation, the paper analyses and synthesizes the measures of reorganizing and recovering companies while also considering the required legislative instruments. From a practical aspect, the authors’ contribution concretizes in a set of economic and financial indicators that warn/reveal the state of financial difficulty of companies. Establishing these indicators represents technical aspects that need to be clarified by the national law and the EU Directive, and it constitutes the challenge of readjusting the companies. The faster the intervention, the bigger the chances of salvaging the company. Interest in this topic is growing, given the temporary suspension of the activities of many companies caused by several factors. In the context of the measures taken to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic and increase the costs of raw materials, gas, and energy, the economic evolution is unpredictable and challenging. Considering that we are in the process of modifying the national legislation, the proposed set of indicators cannot be verified on the level of companies that encounter financial difficulties. Therefore, applying and practically verifying these economic and financial indicators will be the subject of subsequent research

Explosives are chemical compounds - substances or mixtures of substances that have a large amount of energy and which under the influence of external actions decompose suddenly, violently with the release of heat and the formation of gases capable of performing a mechanical work. Due to their specific characteristics, these products are used, both in the civil field and in industry, for the execution of works such as: extraction from the massif, in mines or quarries of useful rocks, execution of mining works (galleries) for opening and preparing deposits for exploitation, tunnels, wells, road constructions, railways, canals, demolition of foundations / civil / industrial buildings that have become unusable, geophysical-seism metric surveys, etc. Research in the field of use of explosives for civil use in various industrial and civil applications requires in-depth knowledge of areas such as the phenomenology of explosion, the behaviour of materials in shock waves, the dynamics of structures, seismic engineering, etc. The design of these types of processes requires the consideration, with a relative approximation, of the degree of danger due to the design of fragments resulting from detonation, vibrations, pressures, tensions created in the space affected by the explosion, generation of explosion gases, etc. legislation in force, being an important indicator regarding the classification, handling, storage and transport in the assessment and management of the risks related to these operations. The paper presents a series of computer simulations, both of the ballistic parameter regarding the working capacity of the explosives, and of the security parameter regarding the impact sensitivity

Methodology for measuring the seismic effects generated by quarry blasting works

Exploitation of useful mineral substances by surface works is an important branch of mining activity. For rocks of low strength or weak aggregation, the method of extraction by mechanical means (excavators of various types, draglines) is successfully applied, but for rocks of medium and high strength, aggregated with or without cracks, or other geological anomalies, the method of extraction generalized exploitation is that by drilling-blasting, using explosives appropriate to the field conditions and correlated according to the technical possibilities and the geometry of the work. One of the major disadvantages to the technologies where drillingblasting works are applied is the generation of seismic waves, which will propagate after the detonation of the charges. In the common situation, where in the area of operation are civilian or industrial targets, that need to be protected, it is important to monitor these effects by performing seismic measurements and then processing the data to adjust the blasting technique in order to reduce these seismic waves in intensity, but while maintaining adequate performance parameters. The paper presents the methodology based on technical-scientific principles for performing these measurements, applied to surface exploitation

Digital Twins of Exoskeleton-Centered Workplaces: Challenges and Development Methodology

    No full text
The Exoskeleton represents a promising technology to equip manufacturing workplaces characterized by poor ergonomics, safety and security. Before this technology can be experimented and employed in operational manufacturing environments, the benefits should be highlighted in digital world at the holistic, process, workplace, line and production area levels, with focus on human work conditions. The development of the Digital Twins of Exoskeleton-centered workplaces faces the challenge of approaching the manual assembly and logistics processes as performed by hybrid resources: workers wearing Exoskeletons. From here, the coupling of an Exoskeleton to the digital worker and the realization of the Exoskeleton-Worker Digital Twin requires a thorough understanding of the human models and of wearable robotics, especially Exoskeleton design principles. A coupling methodology was developed and the prototype of the Digital Twins coupled with a commercial Exoskeleton was validated in automotive and logistics industries. The paper presents the performed research for: a) the optimization of the coupling process; b) the modification of the simulation parameters; and c) the embedding of the active Exoskeleton controller to a production and ergonomic simulation software

When preparing a permitted explosive recipe an energy or an explosive heat is considered, which should ensure the detonability of the system and at the same time a power that satisfies the purpose for which it will be used, under the conditions of firedamp hazardous mines. The safety parameters for the explosive charges used in the firedamp hazardous mines are decisive, in order to ensure the safety and health requirements at work together with the efficient performance of the blasting operation. The permitted explosive type emulsion is recommended to be used in underground mines, open pit mines as a special methane explosive and can be used where a coal dust and/or methane explosion hazard exists can be loaded into dry and wet blasting holes and it can be used for mechanical loading. The permitted explosive type emulsion is a Detonator-sensitive explosives that can be reliably initiated in an unconfined state by a No. 8 strength detonator it have safety handling characteristics because of the relatively low sensitivity to friction, shock and impact. Technological changes due to the change of suppliers of certified explosives for civil use for underground use in the firedamp hazardous mines, involve reassessing the safety and efficiency of the loads made with these products, which have not been tested and evaluated for the conditions from the Jiu Valley mines

The paper presents the results of the theoretical and practical research on the development of the technical and methodological infrastructure for assessing the safety parameter regarding the sensitivity to impact of explosives for civil use in order to increase the degree of security in their handling and use. The currently used method for determining the sensitivity to impact is based on the provisions of harmonized European Standard SR EN 13631-4. Expression of the results implies a particular experience of the research team, the conclusion of the test being in the form of a qualitative response reaction/non reaction to different energies (J) applied to the explosive samples, based on observed effects such as: smoke, explosion noise, flame / spark with or without combustion traces on the subassembly of the specialized test equipment. In order to carry out in good conditions the installation, use and maintenance of the specialized equipment for assessing the susceptibility of the tested substances to impact stimuli, the working procedure of the Department of Explosives and Pyrotechnic Products was elaborated and implemented, PL-04 working procedure with the designation “Working procedure for the installation, use and maintenance of BFH-12A type equipment designed to assess the sensitivity of test substances to impact stimuli”
