Perencanaan Duplikasi Jalan Arteri Utara Semarang STA 1+725-1+975
Study and Application of Microwave Active Circuits with Negative Group Delay
This chapter is available on the following open access link: http://www.intechopen.com/books/microwave-and-millimeter-wave-technologies-modern-uwb-antennas-and-equipment/study-and-application-of-microwave-active-circuits-with-negative-group-delayA simple topology of an NGD active circuit consisting of a FET terminated by a shunt RLC-resonant network and dedicated to the microwave signals was proposed and extensively studied. To our knowledge, in this chapter, the first experimental time-domain demonstration of a circuit able to exhibit simultaneously gain and NGD in microwave domain is proposed. By injecting in the NGD circuit a sufficiently smoothed input short-pulse modulating a sine carrier, one gets an output having an envelop peak in advance compared with the input one. Of course, this phenomenon does not contradict the causality principle. It is also worth emphasizing that the tested circuit respects all required criteria of classical active microwave devices such as gain, matching and stability. As predicted in theory (Ravelo et al., 2007a, 2007b, 2007c and 2008a), for a prototype implemented in planar technology, we have measured in time-domain a pulse peak advance of about -2 ns or 24% of the 1/e-input pulse half-width without attenuation. It is also interesting to note that through this experimentation, the input noise contribution did not destroy the occurrence of time-domain advance induced by the NGD active circuit. Moreover, in this chapter, thanks to the S21-magnitude form, the understudied NGD circuit is able to exhibit a pulse compression phenomenon with a possibility of amplification. Then, it should be worth using the presented NGD active topology to compensate for dispersion effects and especially to reduce the intersymbol interference in certain telecommunication channels. As a potential application of this NGD circuit, a new principle of frequency independent phase shifter is proposed. By cascading a classical transmission line with this NGD circuit, a constant phase value is obtained. The efficiency of this principle was demonstrated by measurement. Indeed, a constant phase value of 90°±5° was obtained within a 76% relative frequency band centred at about 1.5 GHz. The impacts of the PS parameter variations and sensitivity analysis are stated. The main benefits of this NGD active PS concerns its compactness and also the facility to generate very low group delay, and the broad band characteristics. Besides, a two-stage NGD PS was also designed; the simulation results showed a bandwidth enhancement of the constant phase up to 125%. Some fields of applications such as the design of broadband active balun for RF front end architectures are discussed. As ongoing research, design of reconfigurable devices dedicated to telecommunication applications is envisaged. Future investigations will be devoted to the design of NGD devices able to operate at higher frequencies through the use of distributed elements. In this optic, the implementation of MMIC devices based on distributed elements is envisaged

Axolotls' and Mices' Oral-Maxillofacial Trephining Wounds Heal Differently
The Ambystoma maxicanum (axolotl) regenerates strikingly from wounds and amputations. Comparing its healing ability to non-regenerative species such as the mouse should help narrow in on mechanisms to improve human wound healing. Here, the tongue and intermandibular soft tissues of both mice (C57BL/6NCrl) and axolotls were wounded with a 2-2.5 mm punch biopsy. The study aimed to compare the differences between these 2 species following surgical resection with regard to the macroscopic and histological characteristics. These include wound closure times, epithelial wound sealing and thickness as well as acute immune marker myeloperoxidase (MPO) response over 30 days. Post surgery, mice visually showed greater haemorrhage; their wounds immediately collapsed while it took 14 days for the axolotls mandibular void to close. The epithelium sealed the axolotls' wound margins within 24 h with a maximal mean thickness of 0.42 +/- 0.13-fold normalized to unwounded skin. In mice, the epithelium separately sealed the ventral and dorsal sides, respectively at 7 and 7-30 days with mean maximal epithelial thicknesses reaching 13 +/- 5.6 and 3.0 +/- 0.63-fold. Mean MPO-positive cell values peaked in axolotls at 14 +/- 1.5-fold between hours 6-12; while in mice, it peaked at 8.7 +/- 0.9-fold between hours 24-96. We conclude that axolotls form smaller blood clots, have a faster and thinner epithelial cell migrating front, and a shorter MPO-positive cell response in comparison to mice. These observations may help refine future oral and facial wound-healing research and treatment.Peer reviewe
The VLTI/MIDI survey of massive young stellar objects - Sounding the inner regions around intermediate- and high-mass young stars using mid-infrared interferometry
We aim to characterize the distribution and composition of circumstellar
material around young massive stars, and to investigate exactly which physical
structures in these objects are probed by long-baseline mid-infrared
interferometric observations. We used the two-telescope interferometric
instrument MIDI of the Very Large Telescope Interferometer of the European
Southern Observatory to observe a sample of 24 intermediate- and high-mass
young stellar objects in the N band (8-13 micron). We had successful fringe
detections for 20 objects, and present spectrally-resolved correlated fluxes
and visibility levels for projected baselines of up to 128 m. We fit the
visibilities with geometric models to derive the sizes of the emitting regions,
as well as the orientation and elongation of the circumstellar material.
Fourteen objects in the sample show the 10 micron silicate feature in
absorption in the total and correlated flux spectra. For 13 of these objects,
we were able to fit the correlated flux spectra with a simple absorption model,
allowing us to constrain the composition and absorptive properties of the
circumstellar material. Nearly all of the massive young stellar objects
observed show significant deviations from spherical symmetry at mid-infrared
wavelengths. In general, the mid-infrared emission can trace both disks and
outflows, and in many cases it may be difficult to disentangle these components
on the basis of interferometric data alone, because of the sparse spatial
frequency coverage normally provided by current long-baseline interferometers.
For the majority of the objects in this sample, the absorption occurs on
spatial scales larger than those probed by MIDI. Finally, the physical extent
of the mid-infrared emission around these sources is correlated with the total
luminosity, albeit with significant scatter.Comment: 36 pages, 22 figures. Accepted to Astronomy and Astrophysic

This research was carried out on the basis of researchers' interest in the existence of the great Siwa Kertha Payogan Temple in Pakraman Penarukan Village, Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency. If you look closely at this great Shiva Kertha Payogan temple, it has unique and different things from other temples. However, if seen there are still few people who want to examine the existence and meaning of this temple. Therefore, it is important to conduct research on the existence of Pura Siwa Kertha Payogan Agung. The results obtained, namely: Temple structure is divided into three parts, namely Nista Mandala, Madya Mandala and Utama Mandala. This temple has several functions such as (1) religious function, (2) social function, and (3) cultural function. The meaning contained in Pura Siwa Kertha Payogan Agung is (1) theological meaning explained by (a) the Saguna Brahman concept, and (b) theological concept of Pantheism, (2) the aesthetic meaning, (3) the meaning of harmon
