PyMes: las grandes organizaciones del mañana, ¿ISO la solución del hoy?.

Resumen: En este articulo abordaremos el tema de la importancia que es para las empresas desarrollarse a la par de sus competidores, así como de las posibles exigencias de sus clientes, buscando las mejores herramientas de acuerdo a sus posibilidades financieras, enfocando este análisis a las PyMes (Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas). Esto se debe a que las empresas que buscan crecer dependen del compromiso de sus empleados, así como del desarrollo de sus procesos buscando su disminuir la variación. Este artículo enunciará las opciones de crecimiento de las Pymes, al buscar la certificación, estandarización y la implementación de sus procesos, con la ayuda de normas de estandarización, como la ISO 9000. Todo esto tomando en cuenta el compromiso total de su personal en todos los niveles, dado que no existir tal compromiso, para la organización solo será tomado tal proceso como un gasto innecesario y no como una inversión de crecimiento de la misma

Didactic conception of the process of formation of informational skills in the Agronomy career

The current importance of information as an indispensable resource and the need to form a competent graduate capable of managing it, implies raising the quality of the university graduate. Today's university demands a professional with mastery of science and technology in its sphere of action, with skills in access to information and its use, which allow him to achieve high levels of independence in the acquisition of knowledge in his professional life. The objective of this work is to base a didactic conception of the process of formation of informational skills in the students of the Agronomy career of the University of Pinar del Río. For the development of the research, the materialistic dialectical method was assumed as the essential and guiding approach of the whole process, which allowed harmonizing the use of theoretical methods such as historical-logical, modeling and systemic-structural; among the empirical methods, the analysis of documents, the survey and the interview were used. The result of the research manifests a didactic conception of the process of formation of informational skills sustained on theoretical bases and governed by didactic principles that allow its foundation through scientific ideas that establish the stages of the process, the link between its personal components in a context of developer learning and the relations that are established between the non-personal components that characterize it

Valores humanistas. Encargo de la sociedad cubana a la Universidad Médica del siglo XXI

The professional personality which society requires does not born with the human being, but is a consequence of the historical-social  experience and professional reasons, where the role of the teacher and individual work with students contribute to their overall development. Our goal was to approach from a theoretical and methodological framework the strengthening of humanist values as the assignment of cuban society for the Medical University of the 21st century, for which it was performed  an investigation of exploratory type. Supported by the theoretical empirical method of documentary review it was performed a bibliographic revision, which allowed, by means of theoretical methods, the creation of a theoretical framework of the topic, supported by the analysis-synthesis and induction deduction methods, transiting across the historical evolution of the University, the main elements from the perspective of the teaching process and its psychological approah, to finally conclude that values are motivational formations of human development, in which all teachers have responsibilities from the curricular and extracurricular activities, in the context of vocational training of University students by the positive social significance to regulate and guide the attitude of these humanist growth and human development. That is the reason why every professor of medical sciences must contribute to his strengthening in the youth because this is the stage for internal fixation of socially positive values in the way of personal convictions.La personalidad profesional que exige la sociedad no  nace con el ser humano,  sino  es una consecuencia de la experiencia histórico-social y de los motivos profesionales, donde el papel del profesor y un trabajo individual con el estudiante contribuyen a su desarrollo integral. Nuestro objetivo fue abordar desde un marco teórico y metodológico el fortalecimiento de los valores humanistas como encargo de la sociedad cubana a la universidad médica del siglo XXI,  para lo que se realizó una investigación del tipo exploratorio. Apoyados en el método teórico empírico de revisión documental se realizó una profunda revisión de la bibliografía, lo que permitió por métodos teóricos modelar un marco teórico del tema, utilizando los métodos análisis-síntesis e inducción deducción, transitando por toda la evolución histórica de la universidad, los principales elementos desde la óptica del proceso docente y su enfoque psicológico, hasta arribar a las conclusiones de que los valores son formaciones motivacionales del desarrollo humano, en el que tenemos responsabilidad los docentes desde las actividades curriculares y extracurriculares, en el contexto de la formación profesional del estudiante universitario por la trascendencia social positiva, al regular y orientar la actitud de estos hacia el crecimiento humanista y el perfeccionamiento humano, por lo que cada profesor de las ciencias médicas debe contribuir a su fortalecimiento en la juventud por ser la etapa para la fijación interna de valores socialmente positivos en forma de convicciones personales

Dynamic Modelling of Nickel Complexation in Xylem Sap of Quercus ilex: A Voltammetric Study

Holm oak (Quercus ilex) is the dominant tree growing on serpentine soils of northeast Portugal, characterized by elevated soil concentrations of Ni and Mg, combined with low Ca concentrations. Apparently Q. ilex does not suffer from excessive concentrations of Ni in the soil. In this work we report a complexation study of nickel by the relevant ligands present in xylem sap: histidine, aspartic acid, oxalic and citric acids, at 0.10 M ionic strength and pH 5.5. Single and mixed complexes were characterized. To validate the proposed complexation model, diluted solutions of Q. ilex xylem sap were titrated with nickel. All studies were done using square-wave voltammetry (SWV) at a hanging mercury drop electrode. Due to the dynamic nature of SWV, it is possible to obtain the conditional stability constants of the complexes formed but also to have knowledge on the kinetics of the interconversion of the species present

El gabinete metodológico para el desarrollo de capacidades de gestión de la Universidad Agraria de La Habana

The aim of this article is to present the experience of the methodological cabinet at the Agrarian University of Havana, as part of a project with the European Union named: Strengthening Management Capacities of Cuban Entities. It focuses on the results achieved by different groups of beneficiaries in the province of Mayabeque. The techniques and methods used were observation, documentary review, open interviews to specialists, and the Likert scale. The project (through the methodological cabinet) has strengthened capacities, integration, and synergies among university managers, management professors, and local actors, based on a locally created innovative system. It means a progression in the evolution of institutional culture with a strong orientation toward the local surroundings and a strategic approach, which will contribute to higher pertinence of this university.Es propósito de este artículo reflejar la experiencia del gabinete metodológico de la Universidad Agraria de La Habana, como parte del proyecto con la Unión Europea titulado: Fortalecimiento de las capacidades de gestión en entidades cubanas. Se refieren los resultados obtenidos por los diferentes grupos de beneficiarios de la provincia Mayabeque. Se emplearon métodos y técnicas como la observación, la revisión documental, entrevistas abiertas a especialistas y la escala de Likert. El proyecto —particularmente a través del gabinete metodológico— ha fortalecido: capacidades, integración y sinergia entre gestores universitarios, profesores de gestión y actores locales, desde la creación de un sistema innovativo local. Significó una evolución progresiva de la cultura institucional con una fuerte orientación hacia el entorno local y un enfoque estratégico que permitirá una mayor pertinencia de este centro docente

El propósito fundamental del trabajo es destacar la figura del Maestro como divulgador de los avances de la ciencia y la técnica en las dos últimas décadas del siglo XIX, y su influencia en su pensamiento científico - técnico. Se realiza un análisis de la época de los últimos quince años vividos por Martí, de su ejercicio periodístico, como vehículo más importante, mediante el cual se manifiesta su interés por el devenir científico - técnico, el cual encuentra su más alta expresión en la revista La América. Se concluye que el ejercicio periodístico, el sentido de información actualizada y de divulgación orientadora convierten al Maestro en uno de los más completos divulgadores de los avances de la ciencia y la técnica de su épocaThe fundamental purpose of the work is to highlight the Teacher's figure like utterer of the advances of the science and the technique in the last two decades of the XIX century, and its influence in its scientific thought - technician. Outcomes of tutorial teaching. Strategies for nursing training in the new pedagogical model.

Background: Educacation at work is the main form of the educative process in the clinical cycle of the medical higher educational system which the superior form is the tutorial one. Objective: To evaluate the strategy applied in the tutorial in the nursing new pedagogical model. Methods: A descriptive study of intervention and evaluation which started in the 1st academic year on September, 2004 collecting the application and evaluation of the strategy applied in the tutorial process of the nursing new pedagogical model. 163 students of the 2nd academic year of the Bachellor of Science in Nursing were the universe of this investigation. 50 % of them were taken as a randomized sample from 82 groups. Differente documents were reviewed and a survey was applied in order to evaluate the strategy according to the attention received by their tutors and the mark obtained in the practical final exam of 1st and 2nd academic year of their study. Results: Strategies were evaluated as Good taking into consideration the criterion of the managers of the hospital institution and the personnel in charge of the educative process. All the students passed the practical final exam and there was a predominium of the highest mark (5). The majority of the students consider the attention given by their tutors as Good. The results in the final exams in both courses behaved in a similar way with a slight augmentation in the highest category (5) in the academic course 2004-2005.<br /

Concepción didáctica del proceso de formación de habilidades informacionales en la carrera de Agronomía

La universidad actual demanda un profesional con dominio de la ciencia y la técnica en su esfera de actuación, con destrezas en el acceso a la información y su uso, que le permitan alcanzar altos niveles de independencia en la adquisición de los conocimientos en su vida profesional. El objetivo de este trabajo radica en fundamentar una concepción didáctica del proceso de formación de habilidades informacionales en los estudiantes de la carrera Agronomía de la Universidad de Pinar del Río "Hermanos Saíz Montes de Oca". Para el desarrollo de la investigación se asumió el método dialéctico materialista como enfoque esencial y rector de todo el proceso, lo que permitió armonizar el uso de métodos teóricos como el histórico-lógico, la modelación y el sistémico-estructural; entre los métodos empíricos se empleó el análisis de documentos, la encuesta y la entrevista. El resultado de la investigación manifiesta una concepción didáctica del proceso de formación de habilidades informacionales sustentada sobre bases teóricas y regida por principios didácticos que permiten su fundamentación a través de ideas científicas que establecen las etapas del proceso, la vinculación entre sus componentes personales en un contexto de aprendizaje desarrollador y las relaciones que se establecen entre los componentes no personales que lo caracterizan
