    Get PDF
The use of the ICT and the cyber media is leading to new forms of socialization and communication among youth. Virtual environment has become a new context for relating to other people which also includes the establishment and development of couple relationships. At the same time, couple relationships\ud in youth can be very satisfactory, although many studies also described the existence of different problems such as inadequate behaviors towards the partners or emotional dependency. Thus, the current work describes the use of different cyber media among youth and its relationship to the levels of emotional dependency. First, a questionnaire on the use of cyber media in oneself and perceived in a partner was answered by the participants. At the same time, the IRIDS-100 questionnaire for the assessment of the emotional dependency was responded.\ud Both instruments were answered by 100 students between 19 and 32 years old, enrolled in the University of Córdoba. Results showed frequent use of WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube in oneself and also perceived in the partner. Moreover, positive correlations were found between its use in oneself and perceived in the partner and emotional dependency. Taking into account that the cyber media have changed the way of relating among young people, with their peers and their couples, the results of the current study contribute to this topic suggesting\ud at the same time new lines of studies related to the emotional dependency expressed through the cyber media

We present a bone decorated with engraved straight and parallel lines, recovered in the level I in the Sala de Las Chimeneas at Maltravieso cave, dated at 17840 ± 90 BP and 17930 ± 100 BP. The motif has similarities with other Peninsula and Pyrenaean evidence Iberian, which has an extensive chronology throughout the Upper Paleolithic. The iconographic and compositional similarities and the spatial relationship with the cave’s rock art allow us to relate chronologically both graphics, and interpret them as an integrated part of the same symbolic structure. This evidence fills a geographic gap of portable art in the interior of the Iberian Peninsula.

    Get PDF
This research aims to contribute to the knowledge of the Practicum influence in the teachers’ development of competences in the initial training. This work presents a review of studies in this area and the development of the methodology used in the Practicum at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Cordoba. Bases of the Practicum current model are presented, focused on Problem-Based Learning by Multidimensional Coaching (PBL-MC model), especially designed to enhance the development of competences. A pretest/postest study was made in order to study the impact of the Practicum under thePLB-CM model on students’ own perception of their competences development. The training experience of the Practicum I in Primary Education Degree mediated between the pretest and the postest. 145 Students took part in the pretest and 196 in the postest. Data were collected using a self-report questionnaire consisting of items about the self-perceived level of generic, specific and practical competences development. The results show a significant advance in the self-perceived development in 50% of the competences. One third of the generic competences (especially personal and systemic) were improved; it means more than half of the specific competences, and three quarters of the specific competences of the Practicum. The nature of many of the most benefitted competences is accordant with the nature of the teaching strategies used, which leads us to deduce that the model developed in PBL-CM Practicum is a good catalyst for competences development and crystallization.Grupo FORCE (HUM-386). Get PDF
A learning experience developed in a Conservatory of Music that integrates both students of classical and flamenco tradition by means of the flamenco orchestral practice is presented. The teaching sequence and a research about the self-perception of students on their learning are exemplified. 47 students completed a self-report. The results indicate that students of both traditions favorably value the aspects that are novel to them. The results of both the experience and the research are discussed in relation to the bases of collaborative and meaningful learning

[EN]: The entrance to the South Gallery of the Toll Cave was discovered in the 40's of the last century. Since then, several works have highlighted the importance of the archaeo-pale-ontological site at both regional and peninsular levels. Focusing on the Holocene levels, the research suggests prolonged use of it, at least from Epicardial times to the late Bronze Age. Among the vast amount of material recovered, we highlight, to the interest of our study, several marine shells. Under the current research project, new specimens have been recovered. Tax-onomic identification shows that they are marine gastropods. The technology, use-wear and chemical analysis suggests that they were anthropically modified by making holes for use as hanging elements. The shells were being tinted with red pigment. The spatial and stratigraphic position of the specimens lead, us to interpret them as part of a single bead, deposited at the bottom of a Neolithic structure.[ES]: La entrada a la Galería Sur de la Cueva del Toll (Moià, Barcelona) fue descubierta en los años 40 del pasado siglo. Peer Reviewe

Ethnic-Cultural Bullying Versus Personal Bullying: Specificity and Measurement of Discriminatory Aggression and Victimization Among Adolescents

    Get PDF
The present study contrasts personal bullying with ethnic-cultural bullying. A representative pluricultural sample from a Spanish adolescent population of Secondary Education took part in the study (N = 27369). The sample filled in the EBIPQ to measure personal bullying. Additionally, they filled in an adaptation of this questionnaire to measure the ethnic-cultural bullying: the EBIPQ-ECD. The EBIPQ-ECD validation showed optimal psychometric properties and a bidimensional structure: ethnic-cultural victimization and ethnic-cultural aggression. The same roles of participation in personal bullying —aggressor, victim, bully/victim, non-involved— were observed in ethnic-cultural bullying, but they did not coincide with each other in a considerable part. Therefore, we concluded that ethnic-cultural bullying is a different phenomenon from personal bullying, with the possibility of certain dynamism existing between both. To prevent and mitigate ethnic-cultural bullying, educational inferences are proposed. We also recommend the use of the EBIPQ-ECD as a tool to evaluate and detect ethnic-cultural aggressions and victimization

The Intragenesis and Synthetic Biology Approach towards Accelerating Genetic Gains on Strawberry: Development of New Tools to Improve Fruit Quality and Resistance to Pathogens

    Get PDF
Under climate change, the spread of pests and pathogens into new environments has a dramatic effect on crop protection control. Strawberry (Fragaria spp.) is one the most profitable crops of the Rosaceae family worldwide, but more than 50 different genera of pathogens affect this species. Therefore, accelerating the improvement of fruit quality and pathogen resistance in strawberry represents an important objective for breeding and reducing the usage of pesticides. New genome sequencing data and bioinformatics tools has provided important resources to expand the use of synthetic biology-assisted intragenesis strategies as a powerful tool to accelerate genetic gains in strawberry. In this paper, we took advantage of these innovative approaches to create four RNAi intragenic silencing cassettes by combining specific strawberry new promoters and pathogen defense-related candidate DNA sequences to increase strawberry fruit quality and resistance by silencing their corresponding endogenous genes, mainly during fruit ripening stages, thus avoiding any unwanted effect on plant growth and development. Using a fruit transient assay, GUS expression was detected by the two synthetic FvAAT2 and FvDOF2 promoters, both by histochemical assay and qPCR analysis of GUS transcript levels, thus ensuring the ability of the same to drive the expression of the silencing cassettes in this strawberry tissue. The approaches described here represent valuable new tools for the rapid development of improved strawberry lines

History of the Spanish demersal fishery in the Atlantic and Mediterranean Seas

Long fisheries time series allow the review of baselines and inform our knowledge of past events that have conditioned the recent history of the stocks. In this study, we investigated trends in fisheries landings data for the most representative Atlantic and Mediterranean demersal fisheries off the Spanish Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands (1933–1986). The aim was to analyse the evolution of demersal species exploitation and detect changes in landings and fishing tactics. Ten species were selected, which included teleosts, crustaceans, and cephalopods. Results indicated a decrease in Landings Per Unit of Capacity (LPUC) in six of the species examined. While in the Atlantic the process of substitution or incorporation of new species to the fisheries occurs progressively, in the Mediterranean this incorporation occurs simultaneously for many of the species. Four main fishing tactics (landing pattern obtained from the classification analysis of landings per species) were identified. Geographically nearby and connected regions developed similar fishing tactics to each other, and also changed over time. While the fleets from isolated regions were more specialized, and only carrying out one fishing tactic during the study period. Improvements in LPUC with the implementation of new technology and legislative and management measures were not observed.Postprint2,27
