    Este trabajo de investigación pretende demostrar los beneficios de la denominada psicología positiva, concretada en los conceptos de atención plena y fortalezas personales, en la mejora del clima en el aula y en el rendimiento académico. Para ello repasa la literatura existente al respecto, estudiando los programas ya implantados en otros centros fuera y dentro de nuestro país y hace uso y analiza los resultados de la aplicación del programa MyBullying para detectar alumnos necesitados de ayuda. Finalmente, se presenta el diseño de una propuesta de intervención que lleve al aula todos los conceptos presentados e integre los mismos en el currículo, tratando de minimizar las modificaciones necesarias para ello.Grado en Educación Primari

    Artificial Intelligence in Musculoskeletal Conditions

    Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to computer capabilities that resemble human intelligence. AI implies the ability to learn and perform tasks that have not been specifically programmed. Moreover, it is an iterative process involving the ability of computerized systems to capture information, transform it into knowledge, and process it to produce adaptive changes in the environment. A large labeled database is needed to train the AI system and generate a robust algorithm. Otherwise, the algorithm cannot be applied in a generalized way. AI can facilitate the interpretation and acquisition of radiological images. In addition, it can facilitate the detection of trauma injuries and assist in orthopedic and rehabilitative processes. The applications of AI in musculoskeletal conditions are promising and are likely to have a significant impact on the future management of these patients

    Introduction and objectives: Patients with left main coronary artery (LMCA) stenosis have been excluded from the trials that support the non-inferiority of the instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR) compared to the fractional flow reserve (FFR) in the decision-making process of coronary revascularization. This study proposes to prospectively assess the concordance between the two indices in LMCA lesions and to validate the iFR cut-off value of 0.89 for clinical use. Methods: National, prospective, and observational multicenter registry of 300 consecutive patients with intermediate lesions in the LMCA (angiographic stenosis, 25% to 60%. A pressure gudiewire study and determination of the RFF and the iFR will be performed: in the event of a negative concordant result (FFR > 0.80/iFR > 0.89), no treatment will be performed; in case of a positive concordant result (FFR 0.80/iFR 0.89), an intravascular echocardiography will be performed and revascularization will be delayed if the minimum lumen area is > 6 mm(2). The primary clinical endpoint will be a composite of cardiovascular death, LMCA lesion-related non-fatal infarction or need for revascularization of the LMCA lesion at 12 months. Conclusions: Confirm that an iFR-guided decision-making process in patients with intermediate LMCA stenosis is clinically safe and would have a significant clinical impact. Also, justify its systematic use when prescribing treatment in these potentially high-risk patients

    Study protocol for a non-randomised controlled trial : Community-based occupational therapy intervention on mental health for people with acquired brain injury (COT-MHABI)

    The sequelae of moderate-severe acquired brain injury (ABI) encompass motor, cognitive, sensory, emotional and behavioural areas that affect meaningful occupational participation and quality of life, with a high prevalence of associated mental disorders. When the patient returns to community life after discharge from the hospital, specialised care is generally insufficient due to the lack of consideration of the dual condition of mental disorder and ABI. Since there is a negative impact on competence and thus on occupational participation, occupational therapy represents a convenient way of intervention. On these assumptions, a community-based occupational therapy protocol on mental health for people with moderate/severe acquired brain injury (COT-MHABI) is presented. It is focused on meaningful occupational participation and looks for improvement in the quality of life. This study aims: (i) to design a protocol to evaluate the effectiveness of a community occupational therapy intervention based on MOHO for patients with a dual (mental health/ABI) for improving quality of life and self-perceived occupational performance; (ii) to analyse the outcomes of occupational and social variables (occupational balance, participation level, satisfaction with occupation and performed roles and community integration) after the COT-MHABI process; (iii) to analyse the impact of quality of life on satisfaction with occupations performed by this population. A non-randomised controlled clinical trial will be performed. Patients assigned to the experimental group will receive over one year of on-site and telematic occupational therapy sessions, 16 sessions on average. Variables such as quality of life, community integration or satisfaction with occupational performance will be collected at baseline, 6, and 12 months. The needs for the dual mental/ABI population in their reintegration into the community are related to the associated deficits and to the absence of specialised services for the complexity of this patient profile. Few studies consider the coexistence of mental health and ABI issues. The COT-MHABI protocol is proposed to provide continuity to the community needs of this population, conceptualised from occupational participation, person-centred and focused on meaningful activities.     Environmental education: effects on knowledge, attitudes and perceptions, and gender differences

    Environmental education is a decisive tool in the promotion of a citizenry committed to environmental sustainability. Among the current challenges, the management of water shortage is one of the main issues, thus addressing it from childhood is crucial to enhance the connection with nature. Few studies report on the impact of educational programmes about water on minors; therefore, this exploratory study values whether participating in environmental education programmes improves the environmental knowledge, attitudes and perception about water. The study sample was constituted by 607 students (8–16 years of age), from primary and secondary education. The results show evidence about the effectiveness of environmental education programmes about water. Particularly, the changes were greater when the environmental knowledge and perception were evaluated. There was an increase in the willing to learn and know more about environmental education and water. Educational strategies are provided for the future development of environmental education programmes

    The intervention will begin with an initial comprehensive assessment during the first session. The goals are agreed with the participant in the following sessions based on a specific assessment. Subsequently, between the 4th and the 16th session (on-site and telematics), the intervention will be implemented according to the goals and through the three-level process (Exploration, Competence and Achievement) based on the Model of Human Occupation.</p
