Quantum and super-quantum group related to the Alexander-Conway polynomial

We describe the quasitriangular structure (universal $R$-matrix) on the non-standard quantum group $U_q(H_1,H_2,X^\pm)$ associated to the Alexander-Conway matrix solution of the Yang-Baxter equation. Link invariants from NN-state vertex models: an alternative construction independent of statistical models

We reproduce the hierarchy of link invariants associated to the series of $N$-state vertex models with a method different from the original construction due to Akutsu, Deguchi and Wadati. The alternative method substitutes the `crossing symmetry' property exhibited by the Boltzmann weights of the vertex models by a similar property which, for the purpose of constructing link invariants, encodes the same information but requires only the limit of the Boltzmann weights when the spectral parameter is sent to infinity.Comment: 20 pages, LaTeX, uses epsf.sty. Preferencias educativas de los estudiantes postgraduados ante los cambios del Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior

La implantación del Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior (EEES) ha provocado profundos cambios que atañen a nuevas concepciones del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. En este contexto, la técnica del Análisis Conjunto (AC) fue aplicada a una muestra de 179 postgraduados pertenecientes al Curso de Adaptación Pedagógica (CAP) 2007-2008, de la Universidad de Granada (UGR), con la intención de determinar sus preferencias hacia los cambios impuestos por el EEES. Los resultados muestran cómo las preferencias formativas de los estudiantes se centran en la adquisición de competencias para el desarrollo de habilidades, la presencialidad de las clases y un enfoque tutorial mediante seguimiento académico

Effect of pH, temperature ,conductivity and sediment size on thorium activities along Jucar River (Spain)

[EN] A study is presented on the distribution of thorium and radium isotopes in sediments, suspended matter and water collected along Jucar river (East of Spain), using low-level alpha-spectrometry. The first aim of this work is to study the thorium and radium activity in water, sediment and suspended matter and their dependence on pH, temperature, conductivity and sediment sizes along Jucar river. The analysis of activity variation with these parameters will provide information about the dynamics of these radionuclides in rivers.
