Precisiones sobre la edad de las coladas volcánicas jurásicas en la región Algarinejo-Lojilla (Zona subbética)

A partir de un estudio geológico-regional, completado con otro paleontológico-estratigráfico de detalle, se precisa la edad de las erupciones volcánicas submarinas, que se intercalan en la serie jurásica de la región Algarinejo-Lojilla. Se datan dichas erupciones dentro de las zonas de murchisone y concavum, Aalenense medio y superior, respectivamente.Se trata de diversas coladas superpuestas, más numerosas en el sector de Lojilla que en el de Algarinejo

Evaluation of the presence of Vibrio parahaemolyticus in white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) estuarine-wild from southern Sinaloa and northern Nayarit by microbiological analysis and PCR

Given the incidence of human poisonings attributed to raw shrimp consumption in southern of Sinaloa and northern of Nayarit in recent years, white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) was sampled from three wildestuaries where it’s been captured and one sample was taken from a sale center in order to determine the possible presence of toxigenic Vibrio parahaemolyticus, from May to December of 2012. Samples were analyzed by Biochemical test and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), they were also tested for the specific an toxicological identification, using molecular oligo nucleotides markers tlh, tdh and trh. The number of positives results were recorded to a table of most probable number (MPN).The number of samples positive for V. parahaemolyticus, weren’t toxigenic and it was demonstrated that they were below the limit established in the Mexican Official Standard NOM-242-SSA1-2009. In conclusion, the present study revealed that consumption of raw shrimp from the dates and sites sampled did not show to be a risk for human gastrointestinal diseases

Hepáticas y Antocerotas (Marchantiopsida y Anthocerotopsida) de Salamanca (España).

Optical scattering resonances of single and coupled dimer plasmonic nanoantennas

The optical resonances of individual plasmonic dimer antennas are investigated using confocal darkfield spectroscopy. Experiments on an array of antennas with varying arm lengths and interparticle gap sizes show large spectral shifts of the plasmon modes due to a combination of geometrical resonances and plasmon hybridization. The resonances of the coupled-dimer antennas are considerably broadened compared to those of single nanorods, which is attributed to a superradiant damping of the coupled antenna modes. The scattering spectra are compared with electrodynamic model calculations that demonstrate both the near-field and far-field characteristics of a half-wave antenna

Framing a Consent Form to Improve Consent Understanding and Determine How This Affects Willingness to Participate in HIV Cure Research: An Experimental Survey Study

HIV cure research carries serious risks and negligible benefits. We investigated how participants understand these risks and what influences their willingness to participate. Through internet-based and in-person convenience sampling, 86 HIV+ participants completed an experimental survey. Participants were randomized to read a standard consent form describing a hypothetical HIV cure study or one adapted using Fuzzy Trace Theory—a decision-making model to facilitate complex information processing. We measured consent understanding and cognitive (e.g., safe/harmful) and affective (e.g., concerning, satisfying) evaluations of HIV cure research. Participants who read the adapted consent form had improved consent understanding, but only positive affective evaluations were associated with a willingness to participate. Consent processes can use decision-making theories to facilitate comprehension of study information

Sistema de programación y control automático de un riego por goteo subterráneo en un cultivo de olivar

En esta comunicación se presenta un nuevo sistema de programación y control automático del riego por goteo subterráneo para un cultivo de olivar ecológico de una finca situada en el T.M. de Tabernas en Almería (España) y propiedad de la empresa Rafael Alonso Aguilera S.L. La finca se riega mediante un novedoso sistema de riego subterráneo patentado por esta empresa. El sistema de control propuesto está basado en el establecimiento de un balance hídrico diario en el en el sistema suelo-planta a partir de la estimación de las necesidades de riego del cultivo en tiempo real a partir de los datos climáticos medidos en tiempo real a partir de una estación agroclimática. Se presentan también los resultados de la evaluación del funcionamiento del sistema a lo largo de un periodo de 5 años y se analiza el ahorro de agua proporcionado por la combinación del sistema de control del riego y del método de riego subterráneo

Modeling and Analysis of speed tuning of a PMSM with presence of crack using genetic algorithms

[EN] In this article, we propose the continuous system model corresponding to the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) with the presence of degradation in the rotational inertia of the rotor through the fissure mechanism, which allows the estimation of the physical parameters. We consider the diameter of the split on the rotor in the analysis of the model, and in effect, the decrease of the uncertainty of the PMSM model. The closed- loop identification of the gains is achieved by a sensibility analysis, whilst the gains obtained by the computational optimization method of search through genetic algorithms, allows the proposed model converge to the reference model.[ES] En el presente artículo se propone el modelado del sistema continuo correspondiente al motor síncrono de imanes permanentes (MSIP) con presencia de degradación en la inercia rotacional del rotor, mediante el mecanismo de fisura, lo cual permite la estimación de parámetros físicos, en el caso de análisis, el diámetro de la grieta presente en el rotor, disminuyendo con ello la incertidumbre en el modelado del MSIP.
