This study aims to explore how leverage and liquidity affect the value of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018 to 2022. Firm age is also considered a moderating variable in the analysis, using a sample of 15 companies using SPSS 23.0 for quantitative data analysis. Secondary data were used which were obtained from annual reports taken from the respective company websites and the website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The research population consists of banking companies listed on the IDX in the 2018-2022 period. The results of the study found that leverage has a significant negative effect on firm value, while the liquidity ratio has no significant effect. In addition, firm age was found to moderate the relationship between leverage and firm value, but not the relationship between liquidity and firm value. The analysis shows that the combined leverage ratio and liquidity account for 81.9% of the variance in firm value, with the remaining 18.1% being influenced by other variables not included in the study. It can be concluded that leverage has a significant negative effect on firm value, while liquidity has no impact on firm value. In addition, firm age can moderate the relationship between leverage and firm value, but not moderate the relationship between liquidity and firm value in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study provides valuable insights, emphasizing the importance of firm age as a moderating variable in the relationship between leverage and firm value. &nbsp

Debtors and creditors have equal access to information about default risks in competitive credit markets. Loan collateral is less important in credit decision-making in these circumstances. However, in emerging credit markets such as Indonesia, where debtors and creditors do not have equal information about a firm's prospects, the use of collateral to mitigate default risk has become common practice. Despite the strong theoretical framework for the use of collateral to secure creditors from credit risk, some Indonesian firms are exempt from providing collateral for bank debts. This study looks at how the independence of the Board of Commissioners, governance committees, audit quality, and conservatism affect the likelihood of using debt collateral. Around 785 firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange were collected using Slovin's formula, during the sample period of 2017-2020. According to logistic regression analysis, firms with a more independent Board of Commissioners, a separate governance committee, Big 4 auditors, and conservative accounting policies are less likely to provide loan collatera

Introduction: metabolic syndrome comprises a set of metabolic alterations. Objective: to assess possible modifications of the metabolic syndrome in type 2 diabetic patients aged 30 years and older after a lifestyle modification program. Method: an intervention study was carried out on a sample of 142 type 2 diabetics with metabolic syndrome in Belize between July and December 2016. The variables collected were age, sex, previous use of hypotensive or antilipemic treatment, blood pressure measurements, abdominal circumference, triglyceride determinations and cholesterol linked to high-density lipoproteins. The results obtained were described by means of descriptive statistics, absolute and relative frequencies, ratio, mean and standard deviation. Results: metabolic syndrome appeared in 51.07% of patients, females predominated (59.85%) and ages between 60 and 69 years (31.69%), its most frequent components were blood pressure ≥130/85mmHg or previous hypotensive treatment (71.12%), abdominal circumference in women was ≥88cm (52.81%) and triglycerides >150mg/dl without treatment (39.43%). The combination with three other components predominated (44.37%): blood pressure ≥130/85mmHg or previous hypotensive treatment, abdominal obesity and triglycerides >150mg/dl with or without treatment. The most relevant modifications obtained at six months were the reduction of triglycerides (48.21%) and blood pressure figures (38.61%). Conclusions: from the proposed lifestyle modification program, modifications in the components of the metabolic syndrome were possible.

Stroke is a leading cause of death and long-term disability. This due to the ischemic event that cause by embolism of blockage blood flow. Thrombolytic agent plasminogen activator (tPA) is the only treatment approved by FDA. However, the used of tPA is limited to the short time window period. Neural stem cells (NSCs) show the potential to repair neuronal damage naturally after stroke. However, isolating NSCs is a challenging process due to the limitations of the method and its invasiveness. Some studies that had used mesenchymal stem cell (MSCs) as the main source of stem cell for therapy show that MSCs have the potency to differentiate into NSCs. in vitro, a differentiation process from MSC to NSC has been developed by combining the supplement or growth factor needed in the culture media. Keywords: stem cells, neuron stem cell, mesenchymal stem cell, stroke, trans-differentiatio
