    The purpose of this research is to know and analyse : 1) Channel, margin, marketing eficiency and farmer income; 2) Correlation between bokar payment from factory with price to farmer 3) Price influence (price transmission elasticity) bokar at factory level and price at farmer level 4) Market structure. This research using survey method. Doing sampling by purposive sampling on 20 rubber farmer with life plant around 15-25 years old. Doing sampling on seller and factory by using snowball sampling method with follow it\u27s marketing channel. The result at Gobah Village Tambang District kampar Regency there is on marketing channel (homogen). Farmer to the seller and the seller to factory. The lowest price at farmer level Rp.5.550 /kg, the highest price at farmer level Rp. 9.400/kg, the lowest price at factory level Rp. 7.025/kg, the highest price at factory level Rp. 10.925/kg. Farmer income marketing margin which price payed by factory to the seller since Febuari 2014-Januari 2015 around Rp.1,58,33 and farmer income around 75.25% marketing efficiency around 16.88%. Correlation value at farmer level and price at factory level 0,924%. Price transmission elasticity at farmer level and at factory level around 0.850%. Market structure are dominan market with kr 68,1%

    Among 400 Aspergillus species from respiratory samples in Switzerland, Aspergillus fumigatus was the most frequent species. Non-fumigatus Aspergillus spp were more prevalent among solid organ transplant recipients and after azole exposure. Azole resistance was detected in 4 A fumigatus isolates, 3 of them with the "environmental" mutation TR34_{34}/L98H in the cyp51A gene

    Ensembl (http://www.ensembl.org) creates tools and data resources to facilitate genomic analysis in chordate species with an emphasis on human, major vertebrate model organisms and farm animals. Over the past year we have increased the number of species that we support to 77 and expanded our genome browser with a new scrollable overview and improved variation and phenotype views. We also report updates to our core datasets and improvements to our gene homology relationships from the addition of new species. Our REST service has been extended with additional support for comparative genomics and ontology information. Finally, we provide updated information about our methods for data access and resources for user training

    The Ensembl project (http://www.ensembl.org) seeks to enable genomic science by providing high quality, integrated annotation on chordate and selected eukaryotic genomes within a consistent and accessible infrastructure. All supported species include comprehensive, evidence-based gene annotations and a selected set of genomes includes additional data focused on variation, comparative, evolutionary, functional and regulatory annotation. The most advanced resources are provided for key species including human, mouse, rat and zebrafish reflecting the popularity and importance of these species in biomedical research. As of Ensembl release 59 (August 2010), 56 species are supported of which 5 have been added in the past year. Since our previous report, we have substantially improved the presentation and integration of both data of disease relevance and the regulatory state of different cell types

    Impact of biological agents on postsurgical complications in inflammatory bowel disease: A multicentre study of Geteccu

    Background: The impact of biologics on the risk of postoperative complications (PC) in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is still an ongoing debate. This lack of evidence is more relevant for ustekinumab and vedolizumab. Aims: To evaluate the impact of biologics on the risk of PC. Methods: A retrospective study was performed in 37 centres. Patients treated with biologics within 12 weeks before surgery were considered “exposed”. The impact of the exposure on the risk of 30-day PC and the risk of infections was assessed by logistic regression and propensity score-matched analysis. Results: A total of 1535 surgeries were performed on 1370 patients. Of them, 711 surgeries were conducted in the exposed cohort (584 anti-TNF, 58 vedolizumab and 69 ustekinumab). In the multivariate analysis, male gender (OR: 1.5; 95% CI: 1.2–2.0), urgent surgery (OR: 1.6; 95% CI: 1.2–2.2), laparotomy approach (OR: 1.5; 95% CI: 1.1–1.9) and severe anaemia (OR: 1.8; 95% CI: 1.3–2.6) had higher risk of PC, while academic hospitals had significantly lower risk. Exposure to biologics (either anti-TNF, vedolizumab or ustekinumab) did not increase the risk of PC (OR: 1.2; 95% CI: 0.97–1.58), although it could be a risk factor for postoperative infections (OR 1.5; 95% CI: 1.03–2.27). Conclusions: Preoperative administration of biologics does not seem to be a risk factor for overall PC, although it may be so for postoperative infections

    Este proyecto de extensión acreditado y financiado por la UNLP, “Taller arte, recreando un nosotros” se propone promover prácticas alternativas de encuentro y participación colectiva para generar vínculos y relaciones no restrictivas entre internados, externados, familias, profesionales y no profesionales, en el Teatro del Hospital Alejandro Korn, utilizando el arte, la expresión, el juego y la estimulación de sentidos. Se sostiene en el proceso de reforma en materia de Salud Mental que se inicia con la Sanción de la Ley Nacional de Salud Mental (Ley Nº 26657) donde se busca continuar con el proceso de desmanicomialización que se viene llevando a cabo en todo el mundo y que registra antecedentes en las normativas internacionales (OPS, 1990; OPS, 2005; OPS, 2010). Se basa en el desplazamiento del eje de la atención brindada en el hospital psiquiátrico hacia estrategias de atención primaria de la salud con base en la comunidad. En los talleres se promueve la acción social concreta. La construcción de saberes se da conjuntamente con todos los involucrados. Actualmente funcionan talleres de radio, arte y expresión, expresión literaria y jardín de sensaciones. Siendo espacios de producción, de aprendizaje, de circulación de la palabra, de compartir con el otro experiencias de vida y opiniones en donde se rescata la subjetividad, la identidad e historicidad. Fuera del hospital se realizan reuniones de planificación y/ contención, trabajando lo emocional y la grupalidad de los talleristas intervinientes. Estos espacios parten del encuentro INTERDISCIPLINAR, quienes participan son de distintas disciplinas tales como psicología, bellas artes, comunicación social, trabajo social, acompañantes terapéuticos, antropología; articulando el trabajo con otros grupos pertenecientes al hospital, instituciones universitarias y otras organizaciones. El trabajo colectivo interdisciplinar se vuelve uno de los pilares así como el ARTE en tanto medio de expresión y no como fin estético. Lo artístico como lenguaje de comunicación, socialización y como herramienta de expansión de la subjetividad en un espacio determinado, un lugar de salud. Desde la continuidad de las actividades y encuentros se producen cambios subjetivos en los participantes. En ese sentido la apuesta es producir una transformación en lo cotidiano de cada uno para que eso sea retomado en los diferentes dispositivos y actores que apuestan a una externación o mejor condición de la persona internada y una mejoría en la salud mental y salud en general.     Effect of fenbendazole on cow-calf performance and fecal egg counts

    A field trial was conducted with 80 cow-calf pairs to evaluate the effect of deworming both cows and calves with fenbendazole, on cattle performance and internal parasite burden. Midseason and weaning weights of calves in the fenbendazole-treated group averaged 22.4 and 33.5 lb heavier (P<.04), respectively, than controls. Cow and calf fecal egg counts were low throughout the grazing season and were not materially affected by treatment

    Non-Nutritive Sweeteners and Their Implications on the Development of Metabolic Syndrome

    Individuals widely use non-nutritive sweeteners (NNS) in attempts to lower their overall daily caloric intake, lose weight, and sustain a healthy diet. There are insufficient scientific data that support the safety of consuming NNS. However, recent studies have suggested that NNS consumption can induce gut microbiota dysbiosis and promote glucose intolerance in healthy individuals that may result in the development of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). This sequence of events may result in changes in the gut microbiota composition through microRNA (miRNA)-mediated changes. The mechanism(s) by which miRNAs alter gene expression of different bacterial species provides a link between the consumption of NNS and the development of metabolic changes. Another potential mechanism that connects NNS to metabolic changes is the molecular crosstalk between the insulin receptor (IR) and G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). Here, we aim to highlight the role of NNS in obesity and discuss IR-GPCR crosstalk and miRNA-mediated changes, in the manipulation of the gut microbiota composition and T2DM pathogenesis

    The Biased G-Protein-Coupled Receptor Agonism Bridges the Gap between the Insulin Receptor and the Metabolic Syndrome

    Insulin signaling, as mediated through the insulin receptor (IR), plays a critical role in metabolism. Aberrations in this signaling cascade lead to several pathologies, the majority of which are classified under the umbrella term “metabolic syndrome”. Although many of these pathologies are associated with insulin resistance, the exact mechanisms are not well understood. One area of current interest is the possibility of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) influencing or regulating IR signaling. This concept is particularly significant, because GPCRs have been shown to participate in cross-talk with the IR. More importantly, GPCR signaling has also been shown to preferentially regulate specific downstream signaling targets through GPCR agonist bias. A novel study recently demonstrated that this GPCR-biased agonism influences the activity of the IR without the presence of insulin. Although GPCR-IR cross-talk has previously been established, the notion that GPCRs can regulate the activation of the IR is particularly significant in relation to metabolic syndrome and other pathologies that develop as a result of alterations in IR signaling. As such, we aim to provide an overview of the physiological and pathophysiological roles of the IR within metabolic syndrome and its related pathologies, including cardiovascular health, gut microflora composition, gastrointestinal tract functioning, polycystic ovarian syndrome, pancreatic cancer, and neurodegenerative disorders. Furthermore, we propose that the GPCR-biased agonism may perhaps mediate some of the downstream signaling effects that further exacerbate these diseases for which the mechanisms are currently not well understood
