The Effects of Vaccinations on Public Health

This is a review of scholarly literature of the importance of vaccinations and the effects of vaccination uptake and vaccination refusal on public health. It assesses how vaccinations came to exist and what they do in the human body. It highlights reasons parents opt not to vaccinate their children and the side effects vaccinations may cause. There is a major emphasis on the effectiveness of vaccinations, especially in schools, where children are much more likely to be exposed to diseases than the general public. Because health care workers are often at the front line of contracting and/or transmitting diseases, the importance of vaccinations in health care professionals is examined. In all, this review is meant to provide evidence that vaccinations are safe, effective and help to implement a healthy population

Petalacte has been in continuous use for this genus of 1-3 species since proposed by D. Don. The only exception was Lessing\u27s misuse of Petalolepis Cassini, from which he excluded the two original Australian species and substituted two from S. Africa. В статье представлены результаты исследования современной системы подготовки научных и научно-педагогических кадров высшей квалификации в Украине, дана оценка качественного уровня развития аспирантур и докторантур в разных секторах науки, сформулированы системные проблемы, обусловленные сложной социальной и экономической ситуацией в научно-технологической сфере страны, отражена ведущая роль Национальной академии наук Украины в национальной системе подготовки научных и научно-педагогических кадров.У статті наведено результати дослідження сучасної системи підготовки наукових і науково-педагогічних кадрів вищої кваліфікації в Україні, дано оцінку якісного рівня розвитку аспірантур і докторантур у різних секторах науки, сформульовано системні проблеми, зумовлені складною соціальною і економічною ситуацією в науково-технологічній сфері країни, відображено провідну роль Національної академії наук України в національній системі підготовки наукових і науково-педагогічних кадрів.Results of studies of the contemporary system for training of research and lecturing personnel with higher qualification in Ukraine are given, the quality of post-graduate and post-doctorate courses in various sectors of science is judged, systemic problems are outlined, originating from difficult social and economic situation in the Ukrainian science & technology sector, the leading role of the National Academy of Sciences in the system for training research and lecturing personnel is highlighted

A new classification and linear sequence of extant gymnosperms

A new classification and linear sequence of the gymnosperms based on previous molecular and morphological phylogenetic and other studies is presented. Currently accepted genera are listed for each family and arranged according to their (probable) phylogenetic position. A full synonymy is provided, and types are listed for accepted genera. An index to genera assists in easy access to synonymy and family placement of genera.Peer reviewe
