The IVFM consist of two main parts: Peripheries and Modules. The land use planning, finance, public relations, education, media connections, protective equipment belongs to Peripheries. The Modules are: Tower based envi- ronment monitoring and fire detection system, Mobile command control unit and Static and dynamic decision sup- port system. Two modules - the fire detection system and the dynamic decision support system – based an remote sensing. The tower based environment and fire detection system apply the Fire Department by hot information. The time giv- ing sign to Fire Department is not depends on subjectivity; the alarm sign is in fire fighters hand. It means the start of intervention can be as soon as possible. The project develops a static and dynamic decision sup port system. It is based on robot reconnaissance aircraft (UAV RRA)– dynamic parts; and the GIS – static parts. Combine the data supply by UAV RRA with the GIS based fuel model and others information (weather data) the resu lt will be the predicted fire activity. The UAV RRA give rapid, simply and objective information at the scene for commander without vesting any time. It can provide fire fighters by accurate information to increas e in efficiency of fire fighting. In common with numerous other countries over the past decade, vast forested regions were destroyed by fire in Hun- gary also. Having experienced the sluggish and ineffect ual central response, a number of local initiatives were started to increase effectiveness in forest fire situations, among these the Integrated Vegetation Fire Management Program of the Professional Municipal Fi re Department of the Town of Szendr ő is the most comprehensive. The program began in early 2004 and the date of its accomplishm ent will largely depend on the schedule of financial op- portunities, but at the earliest it will be in 2007. The first step is the pr ocessing of information acquired during recent fire events and, based on that, the outlining of a concept

Introduction: this article focuses on determining the principles of decision - making of firefighting managers in emergencies. Method: the author used a freely compiled essay analysis, made by firefighters with several years of practical experience. Results and discussion: the research ascertains that firefighters clearly know their special decision situations, and that they are forced to make them under time pressure, and also that the cornerstones of the practical experience are highlighted in the essays. Based on relevant statutes and the cornerstones elaborated in the essays, the author logically arranged them and determined the principles of decision - making of firefighting managers in emergencie
