Background: COVID-19 patients experience cytokine storm which cause pulmonary and extra-pulmonary complications. Effective antiviral and immune boosters are need of hour to treat COVID-19 as well as post COVID complications. Methods: In this study involving mild COVID-19 we randomized 40 patients to receive a Herbovir syrup along with standard of care (SOC) or SOC alone in 1:1 ratio. We evaluated the benefits of Herbovir syrup by assessing clinical outcomes and improvement in immune markers (LDH, CRP, D-dimer).Results: At the end of the study the immune markers in Herbovir group improved significant compared to control group. In patients who received Herbovir, LDH decreased from 334 U/l at baseline to 254 U/l at the end of treatment (p value 75% patients in Herbovir treated group. Conclusions: Herbovir accelerated recovery of COVID-19 patients by early improvement in clinical symptoms and immune markers in this study and results clearly indicates that Herbovir syrup has antiviral, immune booster activity and has definitive role in the management of mild COVID-19 patients along with standard of care. Generative Boltzmann Adversarial Network in Manet Attack Detection and QOS Enhancement with Latency

Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) are considered as self-configured network those does not have any centralized base station for the network monitoring and control. MANET environment does not control architecture for routing for the frequent maintenance of topology. The drastic development of Internet leads to adverse effect of development in MANET for different multimedia application those are sensitive to latency. Upon the effective maintenance of the QoS routing route discovery is performed to calculate queue and contention delay. However, the MANET requirement comprises of the complex procedure to withstand the Quality of Service (QoS) with Artificial Intelligence (AI). In MANET it is necessary to compute the MANET attacks with improved QoS with the reduced latency as existing model leads to higher routing and increased latency.  In this paper proposed a Generative Boltzmann Networking Weighted Graph (GBNWG) model for the QoS improvement in MANET to reduce latency. With GBNWG model the MANET model network performance are computed with the weighted graph model. The developed weighted graph computes the routes in the MANET network for the estimation of the available path in the routing metrices. The proposed GBNWG model is comparatively estimated with the conventional QOD technique. Simulation analysis stated that GBNWG scheme exhibits the improved performance in the QoS parameters. The GBNWG scheme improves the PDR value by 12%, 41% reduced control packets and 45% improved throughput value

Bain type of X‐linked syndromic mental retardation in a male with a pathogenic variant in HNRNPH2

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs) are RNA binding proteins, which aid in maturation, stabilization, and transport of mRNA. They have a significant role in cellular nucleic acid metabolism. The hnRNPs alter gene expression and are linked to various neurodegenerative disorders and cancers. Previously, six unrelated girls with developmental delay, intellectual disability, and hypotonia were found to have de novo heterozygous pathogenic missense variants in HNRNPH2, located on the X chromosome. A gain‐of‐function effect was proposed for the variant and it was thought to be lethal in males as no surviving males were identified. We describe a family with two affected siblings, one male and one female, with a known pathogenic variant in HNRNPH2, possibly due to maternal germline mosaicism.Peer Reviewedhttps://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/152580/1/ajmga61388.pdfhttps://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/152580/2/ajmga61388_am.pd

Analysis of composite plates by a unified formulation-cell based smoothed finite element method and field consistent elements

    Get PDF
In this article, we combine Carrera’s Unified Formulation (CUF) [13] and [7] and cell based smoothed finite element method [28] for studying the static bending and the free vibration of thin and thick laminated plates. A 4-noded quadrilateral element based on the field consistency requirement is used for this study to suppress the shear locking phenomenon. The combination of cell based smoothed finite element method and field consistent approach with CUF allows a very accurate prediction of field variables. The accuracy and efficiency of the proposed approach are demonstrated through numerical experiments

Formation and physicochemical properties of crystalline and amorphous salts with different stoichiometries formed between ciprofloxacin and succinic acid

YesMulti-ionizable compounds, such as dicarboxylic acids, offer the possibility of forming salts of drugs with multiple stoichiometries. Attempts to crystallize ciprofloxacin, a poorly water-soluble, amphoteric molecule with succinic acid (S) resulted in isolation of ciprofloxacin hemisuccinate (1:1) trihydrate (CHS-I) and ciprofloxacin succinate (2:1) tetrahydrate (CS-I). Anhydrous ciprofloxacin hemisuccinate (CHS-II) and anhydrous ciprofloxacin succinate (CS-II) were also obtained. It was also possible to obtain stoichiometrically equivalent amorphous salt forms, CHS-III and CS-III, by spray drying and milling, respectively, of the drug and acid. Anhydrous CHS and CS had melting points at ∼215 and ∼228 °C, while the glass transition temperatures of CHS-III and CS-III were ∼101 and ∼79 °C, respectively. Dynamic solubility studies revealed the metastable nature of CS-I in aqueous media, resulting in a transformation of CS-I to a mix of CHS-I and ciprofloxacin 1:3.7 hydrate, consistent with the phase diagram. CS-III was observed to dissolve noncongruently leading to high and sustainable drug solution concentrations in water at 25 and 37 °C, with the ciprofloxacin concentration of 58.8 ± 1.18 mg/mL after 1 h of the experiment at 37 °C. This work shows that crystalline salts with multiple stoichiometries and amorphous salts have diverse pharmaceutically relevant properties, including molecular, solid state, and solubility characteristics.Solid State Pharmaceutical Cluster (SSPC), supported by Science Foundation Ireland under grant number 07/SRC/ B1158

Three-component one-pot synthesis of 3-(2-furanyl) indoles from acetylenedicarboxylate, isocyanide, and 3-formylindole

    No full text
The zwitterions derived from isocyanide and dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate undergo smooth condensation with 3-formylindoles in benzene at room temperature to give the corresponding 3-(2-furanyl)indoles in good yields. This method provides a simple and convenient route to produce a wide range of 3-heteroarylindoles in a one-pot operation

Isocyanides, dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates, and α,β-unsaturated aldehydes undergo smooth condensation in poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG 400) to afford the corresponding styrylfuran derivatives in good yields. This method provides a convenient route for a wide range of styrylfurans in a one-pot operation via a three-component reaction. The solvent can be recycled and reused for further reactions
