The purpose of this research is for knowing the effect of the stretching method and gender on flexibility. Experimental research method with 2x2 Factorial Design design, which consists of two groups, because the research uses two independent variables with two moderator variables. Frankel et. Al (2013:277). Based on the results of data processing and analysis described in the previous chapter, it is known that the PNF stretching method is more effective than the passive stretching method in increasing muscle and joint flexibility for men and women with a difference in the average stretch score of 1.52. Then on the results of the analysis of differences in muscle and joint flexibility between men and women, it is known that there is a significant difference in the average score of muscle and joint flexibility between men and women where the average score for men is 1.96. In both men and women, there was a significant increase in muscle and joint flexibility between before and after stretching using either the passive method or the PNF method. So the authors can conclude that the results of the study there are significant differences in the average score of muscle and joint flexibility between the PNF method and the passive method. This shows that the PNF stretching method is more effective than the passive stretching method in increasing muscle and joint flexibility in men and women. Utilization of the stretching method can provide real experience for sports players to increase flexibility by using the stretching method, because flexibility is very influential in increasing effectiveness in exercising

This research is a quantitative study with a correlational design that aims to determine the relationship between motor learning and cognitive function in students of public elementary schools in Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. The population of this study was fifth grade students for the 2022/2023 school year, with a population of 627 children spread across 27 public elementary schools. The sampling technique used in this research is random sampling. With this technique, I obtained a sample of 94 students. Methods of data collection using tests and measurements of cognitive function and movement skills Cognitive function uses the Concentration Grid Test (CGT) instrument and movement skills by observing movement learning. The results showed that students' cognitive function was in a good category, and their movement learning was also good. The results of the correlation analysis obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.695 > rtable = 0.396. This shows that there is a significant relationship between movement learning and cognitive function in fifth grade public elementary school students in Kuantan Tengah District for the 2022/2023 academic year. The conclusion that can be drawn from the results of the research is that one student's movement learning is influenced by cognitive function. Students who have good cognitive function tend to have good movement skills

There is a possibility that the sick building syndrome has already spread widely among the newly constructed apartments in major cities of Indonesia. This study investigates the current conditions of indoor air quality, focusing especially on formaldehyde and TVOC, and their effects on health among occupants in the urban houses located in the city of Surabaya. A total of 471 respondents were interviewed and 82 rooms were measured from September 2017 to January 2018. The results indicated that around 50% of the respondents in the apartments showed some degrees of chemical sensitivity risk. More than 60% of the measured formaldehyde levels in the apartments exceeded the WHO standard, 0.08 ppm. The respondents living in rooms with higher mean formaldehyde values tended to have higher multiple chemical sensitivity risk scores. KEYWORDS: Indoor air quality, Sick building syndrome, QEESI, Formaldehyde, Developing countrie

Potential Molecular Interaction of Nutmeg's (Myristica Fragrans) Active Compound via Activation of Caspase-3

    Get PDF
Myristica fragrans Houtt (belongs to the Myristicaceae family) is a Maluku Island (Indonesia) native plant. The seed of M. fragrans (Nutmeg) has been used for medicinal benefits. M. fragrans also has anti-cancer properties. The goal of this research was to use computer-aided drug design to investigate the in silico molecular docking of selected nutmeg compounds against Caspase-3. Molecular docking using Malegro Virtual Docker (MVD) software Ver 5.5 was performed to investigate binding complicated models to offer information on critical drug-receptor interactions. The most potent ligand was Licarin B, which had a docking score of -103.07 kcal/mol. The Licarin B structure formed several hydrogen bonds with Trp214 and Phe250. These findings imply that the nutmeg seed contains a prospective compound that could be a great anti-cancer agent
