    A comparative study on the effect of different types of drying on the nutritive value of the proteins in the different fishmeals of known history was made. From the observations, it is clear that the mode of drying has got little or no effect on the nutritive value of the meal as revealed by the chemical indices of available lysine and pepsin digestibility, provided enough precautions were taken to avoid scorching during drying process. Sun dried meals are in no way inferior to the meals prepared by hot-air, steam or vacuum drying

    The thermoelectric properties of co-doped (Bi0.98In0.02)2Te2.7Se0.3/reduced graphene oxide composites between 10 - 325 K are presented. X-ray diffraction confirms that the composites adopt a rhombohedral structure with space group R3ÂŻm. Field emission scanning electron microscopy reveals an interface structure of reduced graphene oxide (rGO). N-type conducting behaviour is observed for all the samples, as ascertained by Hall effect and Seebeck coefficient measurements, with a carrier concentration of 1025/m3. The thermal conductivity and electrical resistivity of (Bi0.98In0.02)2Te2.7Se0.3/0.02 wt% reduced graphene oxide composite is found to decrease by 1.6 and 10 times respectively in comparison with that of (Bi0.98In0.02)2Te2.7Se0.3. The power factor is enhanced by 7 times for (Bi0.98In0.02)2Te2.7Se0.3/0.01 wt% rGO compared to that of (Bi0.98In0.02)2Te2.7Se0.3

    Observation of nano-indent induced strain fields and dislocation generation in silicon wafers using micro-raman spectroscopy and white beam x-ray topography

    In the semiconductor manufacturing industry, wafer handling introduces micro-cracks at the wafer edge. During heat treatment these can produce larger, long-range cracks in the wafer which can cause wafer breakage during manufacture. Two complimentary techniques, micro-Raman spectroscopy (ÎŒRS) and White Beam Synchrotron X-ray Topography (WBSXRT) were employed to study both the micro-cracks and the associated strain fields produced by nano-indentations in Si wafers, which were used as a means of introducing controlled strain in the wafers. It is shown that both the spatial lateral and depth distribution of these long range strain fields are relatively isotropic in nature. The Raman spectra suggest the presence of a region under tensile strain beneath the indents, which can indicate a crack beneath the indent and the data strongly suggests that there exists a minimum critical applied load below which cracking will not initiate

    Perturbed angular correlations were measured for Gd ions implanted into gadolinium foils following Coulomb excitation with 40 MeV O-16 beams. A technique for measuring the relative magnetizations of ferromagnetic gadolinium hosts under in-beam conditions is described and discussed. The combined electric-quadrupole and magnetic-dipole interaction is evaluated. The effect of nuclei implanted onto damaged or non-substitutional sites is assessed, as is the effect of misalignment between the internal hyperfine field and the external polarizing field.     Nonlinear Stability in the Generalised Photogravitational Restricted Three Body Problem with Poynting-Robertson Drag

    The Nonlinear stability of triangular equilibrium points has been discussed in the generalised photogravitational restricted three body problem with Poynting-Robertson drag. The problem is generalised in the sense that smaller primary is supposed to be an oblate spheroid. The bigger primary is considered as radiating. We have performed first and second order normalization of the Hamiltonian of the problem. We have applied KAM theorem to examine the condition of non-linear stability. We have found three critical mass ratios. Finally we conclude that triangular points are stable in the nonlinear sense except three critical mass ratios at which KAM theorem fails.Comment: Including Poynting-Robertson Drag the triangular equilibrium points are stable in the nonlinear sense except three critical mass ratios at which KAM theorem fail
