Investigating the Factors Affecting the Release Time Management of Profit of Companies Accepted in Tehran Stock Exchange
After Patel and Wolfson (1982) who examined the relationship between news content related to profits and release time of this news during the week, other studies have been done showing that the profits that are declared in the weekend include worse news than releasing profit in the days of the week. It is assumed that opportunistic managers for this reason release their profits at these times, and media pay less attention to hide bad news from market. This study has tested the observations that have changed the profits declaration time between weekdays and weekends to examine more closely the strategic disclosure hypothesis. The hypothesis testing results based on over 4,500 cases of profit declaration during 2001 to 2011 show that directors of accepted companies in Tehran Stock Exchange do not schedule their profits declaration strategically. The effect of some factors influencing the choice of seasonal profits declaration time such as an unexpected benefit, the percentage of free float stock, industry, complexity of the activities of the company and company size during the weekdays were investigated by conducting the Logistic regression test. Among the various factors, test results showed a significant relationship only between the percentage of free float stock and the news announcement time related to the profit
The prevalence of potential drug interactions in Intensive Care Units
Aims: Drug interaction occurs when a drug affects the action of another. In this line, the present study has been
conducted to determine the prevalence of potential drug interactions in critical care units.
Methods: In the present retrospective study, the first twenty-four hour prescriptions of 371 patients admitted to
intensive care unit of Shahid Bahonar hospital of Kerman were investigated in terms of the number and type of drug
interaction in addition to other factors such as number of drugs, age, gender, length of ICU stay and number of
prescribing doctors. In order to determine the number and type of drug interactions, a reference textbook of "Drug
Interaction Facts" was used, and data analysis was performed by SPSS18 statistical software with respect to the study
objectives using descriptive statistics, Pierson correlation test, independent t-test, and variance analysis.
Results: In terms of the drugs received, 77 different drugs and, in total, 2091 cases of drug prescription were found with
the average of 5.6 (±1.5) for each patient. Overall, 726 cases of drug interactions were observed among critical care unit
patients in the first 24 hour of prescription. Delayed, moderate, and possible interactions were accounted for the most
interactions found. The results are indicative of a significant correlation between the number of drug interactions and
prescribed medications, age, gender, duration of hospitalizations and number of prescribing doctors.
Conclusion: Due to possessing more risk factors of drug interactions, critical care unit patients are at higher risk of
developing drug interaction which behooves the medical team to pay more attention to this issue
Phase change materials incorporation into 3D printed geopolymer cement:A sustainable approach to enhance the comfort and energy efficiency of buildings
The advent of 3D printing has revolutionized conventional construction, offering cost-effective and fast construction of complex structures. Nevertheless, there remain challenges to be addressed regarding the effective integration of functional additives into 3D printing construction materials. Herein, we present a straightforward and environmentally friendly approach to promote sustainable buildings while reducing energy consumption. This is achieved by integrating Macroencapsulated Phase Change Materials (MEPCM) into a 3D printable geopolymer paste (GPP) derived from fly ashes. The research followed a systematic methodology, encompassing the assessment of fresh and hardened properties of geopolymer pastes with varying amounts of MEPCM, analyzing their thermal properties, and investigating the thermal performance by printing miniature houses without and with 20 vol% MEPCM. Notably, MEPCM demonstrated its dual functionality as a thermal energy management component and a viscosity modifier for 3D printable geopolymer paste. Overall, this study paves an innovative path toward sustainable construction, highlighting the significance of energy efficiency and waste reduction.</p

Abstract. Strategic Human Resource Management is a relatively new field of research that seeks to examine human resource practices from a macro perspective, examining the effects of HR practices on firm levels performance variables instead of individual level outcome
A new empirical correlation for estimating bubble point pressure using the genetic algorithm
In this paper, a new and more accurate correlation to predict bubble point pressure (Pb) for Middle East crudes by using the genetic algorithm (GA) is attempted. For this purpose, a total of 286 data sets of different crude oils from Middle East reservoirs were used as training data for constructing the correlation. The general form of the correlation was found by several regressive examinations. To improve the correlation, the genetic algorithm was applied. To validate the correlation, 143 data sets of different crudes from Middle East reservoirs which were different from the training data were used as test data for calculating mean absolute relative error (MARE) and correlation coefficient (R2) between the predicted values from the proposed correlation and the experimental values. In addition, the MARE and R2 were calculated for previous correlation in the test data. The results show that the proposed correlation is more accurate than all of the previous correlations exclusively for Middle East crudes
Discrete wavelet transform and artificial neural network for gearbox fault detection based on acoustic signals
Gearboxes are widely applied in power transmission lines, so their health monitoring has a great impact in industrial applications. In the present study, acoustic signals of Pride gearbox in different conditions, namely, healthy, worn first gear and broken second gear are collected by a microphone. Discrete wavelet transform (DWT) is applied to process the signals. Decomposition is made using Daubichies-5 wavelet with five levels. In order to identify the various conditions of the gearbox, artificial neural network (ANN) is used in decision-making stage. The results indicate that this method allow identification at a 90 % level of efficiency. Therefore, the proposed approach can be reliably applied to gearbox fault detection
Perceived social support, depression, and perceived stress in university students
Psychological disorders are universally common problems. Social support contributes much to the health of individuals. Focusing upon social support and upon vicissitudes of life can help prevent the depression-induced disorders. The present paper investigated the relationship between perceived social support, depression and perceived stress in university students. The descriptive-analytical study was carried out on 390 students living in Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sceince campus, whom were selected based on a simple random selection method. The related questionnaires of multidimensional scales of perceived social support, Beck’s depression, and perceived stress then were distributed during midterm among students to collect the necessary data. Data was fed into SPSS 16 and analysed using ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, independent t-test, Chi-square, and Fisher exact test. Our results indicated that 49.7 per cent of students suffered from specific degrees of depression. 30.5 per cent of students had given educational progress and employment as sources of stress in living in the campus. The perceived social support scores were 28.32±9.56, depression, 12.10±9.02, and for perceived stress was 26.84±8.27. A significant relationship was shown to be between perceived social support, depression, and perceived stress (p<0.001) The conclusion made in the paper is that considering depression and stress is crucial to the health of the students. Also, forming workgroups to increase social support for students can help alleviates depression and stress in university students

(European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel, EPUAP – National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel, NPUAP 2009.)
Oppaan kokonaisuutta arvioitaessa asteikolla 1-5 annettu keskiarvosana oli 4,6.The purpose of this funtcional thesis was to produce a guide booklet for the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers to the health care providers in Kauniala Hospital. The goal of this thesis is to develop the expertise of the health care providers in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers. The guide booklet is intended to provide information about prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers.
This thesis comprises of two parts, I.e. theoretical and the guide itself. The thesis work was initiated with an information search and collecting the theoretical part. The contents of the guidebook are based on the theoretical framework. In which pressure ulcer prevention and treatment are discussed.
According to EPUAP pressure ulcer is a local skin damage or a damage of skin and the tissue under it. A pressure ulcer usually appears over a bony area because of pressure or pressure and stretch. (European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel, EPUAP - National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel, NPUAP 2009.) Estimated by the number of hospital beds and the incidence 55000-80000 patients in Finland have a pressure ulcer every year (Soppi 2014).
This thesis was carried out with the collaboration of two students and belongs to the guidance in nursing project. The guidebook increases the awareness of pressure ulcer prevention and identification among the medical staff, as well as acts as an information package which is an easy- to- use tool in everyday nursing practice.
The evaluation for the output of this thesis and for the attainment of the objectives were requested of the personnel of Kauniala hospital by a survey. The questions concerned the convenience, functionality, reliability and visual appearance of the guide. Feedback was given by five persons, and mostly the feedback was positive. Only one person made suggestions about organizing the guide. As the guide was evaluated by a whole on scale 1-5, the average rating was 4,6
