JOGO MATIX: uma experiência no período da pandemia da COVID-19

This work is an excerpt from a research group developed in the Mathematics and Physics course, latu sensu level, whose objective was to show a didactic intervention on operations with integers with the Matix Game as a strategy to minimize the difficulties of students of one from the 7th year of elementary school at a Public School in the Zona da Mata Norte of the State of Pernambuco, during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. For the development of this experience, tools such as WhatsApp, YouTube and Google Forms were used as instruments for mediation and carrying out activities. During the classes, we could observe that most of the students who participated in the classes were able to make and play Matix, in addition to assimilating the mathematical content without the need to apply memorization techniques, such as the “rule of signs”.Este trabalho se trata de um recorte de uma pesquisa desenvolvida no curso de Matemática e Física, nível latu sensu, cujo objetivo foi mostrar uma intervenção didática sobre as operações com números inteiros com o Jogo Matix como estratégia para minimizar as dificuldades de estudantes de uma turma do 7º Ano do Ensino Fundamental de uma escola da Rede Pública na Zona da Mata Norte do Estado de Pernambuco, no período da pandemia da COVID-19. Para o desenvolvimento dessa vivência, utilizou-se ferramentas como WhatsApp, YouTube e Google Forms, como instrumentos para mediação e realização de atividades. Durante as aulas, pôde-se observar que a maioria dos estudantes que participaram das aulas conseguiram confeccionar e jogar Matix, além de assimilar o conteúdo matemático sem a necessidade de aplicação de técnicas de memorização, tais como a “regra dos sinais”

Habilidades de decodificación grafêmica y fonêmica: un estudio de población del desempeño de los estudientes

As habilidades básicas de leitura e escrita - decodificação grafêmica e fonêmica - são essenciais à construção de habilidades linguísticas complexas. Desempenhos em leitura e escrita de alunos entre o 2o e o 7o ano do ensino fundamental de municípios de Minas Gerais foram obtidos por meio do Teste de Desempenho Escolar. Foram avaliados 1438 estudantes em escrita e 227 em leitura, sendo que 53,1% e 41,4%, respectivamente, apresentaram desempenho inferior ao esperado. As análises de correlação de Pearson revelaram correlações positivas e significativas entre as habilidades, indicando que o aumento de acertos no subteste de leitura relaciona-se ao melhor desempenho em escrita.PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Decodificação grafêmica. SATISFACTION WITH NURSING CARE OF ONCOLOGY PATIENTS ON OUTPATIENT ANTINEOPLASTIC DRUGS

Objective: Evaluate the satisfaction of outpatient oncology users taking antineoplastic drugs about nursing care.Methods: Exsectional study with a quantitative approach, carried out at the Chemotherapy Service of a university hospital located in Belém-PA – Brazil, with 200 users, from June 2019 to June 2022, through interviews and use of the Patient Satisfaction Instrument. Chi-square analysis, Pearson p-value, and chi-square analysis were applied, and the p-value ≤ 0.05 was considered.Results: Users reported good satisfaction in the overall average of the domains (>90%), highlighting the technical-professional domain, followed by the educational and confidence domains. The variables of clarification of medical guidelines, giving good advice, and taking the initiative after patient responses were associated with user satisfaction according to cancer topography and staff availability to those with different degrees of staging. Conclusion: This study assists managers in identifying and planning improvements in areas and services

Culture-dependent characterization of cyanobacterial diversity in the intertidal zones of the Portuguese coast: A polyphasic study

Cyanobacteria are important primary producers, and many are able to fix atmospheric nitrogen playing a key role in the marine environment. However, not much is known about the diversity of cyanobacteria in Portuguese marine waters. This paper describes the diversity of 60 strains isolated from benthic habitats in 9 sites (intertidal zones) on the Portuguese South and West coasts. The strains were characterized by a morphological study (light and electron microscopy) and by a molecular characterization (partial 16S rRNA, nifH, nifK, mcyA, mcyE/ndaF, sxtI genes). The morphological analyses revealed 35 morphotypes (15 genera and 16 species) belonging to 4 cyanobacterial Orders/Subsections. The dominant groups among the isolates were the Oscillatoriales. There is a broad congruence between morphological and molecular assignments. The 16S rRNA gene sequences of 9 strains have less than 97% similarity compared to the sequences in the databases, revealing novel cyanobacterial diversity. Phylogenetic analysis, based on partial 16S rRNA gene sequences showed at least 12 clusters. One-third of the isolates are potential N2-fixers, as they exhibit heterocysts or the presence of nif genes was demonstrated by PCR. Additionally, no conventional freshwater toxins genes were detected by PCR screening

Interdisciplinarity in Higher Education: A Cross-Sectional Analysis of the Literature in the period 2014-2018

Goal: The growing complexity of problems induces the use of multi- and interdisciplinary approaches in their solution. This situation occurs in a number of fields, including in the field of Education. The results of research from the interdisciplinary point of view in Education are presented in several journals, addressing different subjects, which prevents a holistic view on the development of this area. In order to fill this gap, this article aims to study interdisciplinarity in education in order to understand how the concept of interdisciplinarity has been applied in this area. Design / Methodology / Approach: It consists of a bibliographical survey, with articles indexed in the SCOPUS database. The selection of articles was limited to a transversal research in the literature from 2014 to 2018, using the following keywords: interdisciplinarity and higher education. Limitations of the investigation: Through the methodology used, 60 articles were selected. Results: Few articles were related to interdisciplinary practices, demonstrating the need for research to cover this gap. Practical implications: Although the subject began in the 1970s, there is still much to be researched regarding interdisciplinarity in education, to allow a better dissemination and practice thereof, so that students have a systemic view of current complexity. Originality/ Value: The study points out a gap in the literature, and the quantitative results suggest that there is a greater deficiency of works directed to the application of the interdisciplinary approach in the development of this aspect for the improvement of society

Bioactivity of Asclepias curassavica, Equisetum spp. and Rosmarinus officinalis Extracts Against Leaf-Cutting Ants

Chemical control of leaf-cutting ants is widely used, but alternative control with toxic plant extracts is promising. Substances with insecticidal potential extracted from plants have numerous ecological advantages. This study evaluated the insecticidal and/or fungicidal potential of the plants Asclepias curassavica (tropical milkweed), Rosmarinus officinalis L. (Lamiaceae) (rosemary) and Equisetum spp. (horsetail) for control of the leaf-cutting ant Atta sexdens rubropilosa Forel, 1908 (Hymenoptera: Formicidae). Forty laboratory-reared colonies of Atta sexdens rubropilosa were used. The plants were collected, dried out in a circulating air oven for 48 hours, ground, and macerated in 96o ethanol until exhaustion. After filtration, the products were evaporated under reduced pressure to obtain the ethanolic extracts. Acceptance of the reagent, topical application of the extracts, and application of baits containing 4% of the plant extracts were tested. The results showed that all plant extracts tested negatively influenced the development of the fungus garden. Baits produced with Asclepias curassavica caused the highest mortality of the colonies within 7 days. In conclusion, the ethanolic extracts of Asclepias curassavica, Rosmarinus officinalis and Equisetum spp. exhibit insecticidal (contact and ingestion) and fungicidal activity in colonies of the leaf-cutting ant Atta sexdens rubropilosa

The methodology used for this abstract is based on an integrative review of scientific literature and epidemiological reports. Searches were performed in academic databases such as PubMed and Google Scholar using keywords such as "COVID-19," "SARS-CoV-2," "epidemiology," "transmission," "risk factors," and "control measures." Selected studies were assessed for their relevance and methodological quality. In summary, the epidemiology and transmission of COVID-19 are complex and continually evolving topics. Understanding these aspects is crucial for the development of effective pandemic control strategies and the protection of public health. It is essential for health authorities to continue monitoring and updating guidelines as new information and evidence emerge.A pandemia de COVID-19, causada pelo coronavírus SARS-CoV-2, tem tido um impacto significativo na saúde global desde o seu surgimento no final de 2019. O objetivo deste resumo é realizar uma revisão integrativa das informações disponíveis sobre a epidemiologia e a transmissão do COVID-19. A metodologia utilizada para a elaboração deste resumo baseia-se na revisão integrativa da literatura científica e de relatórios epidemiológicos. Cofo de histórias: produzindo narrativas por meio de design situado sobre os parâmetros da lacuna de gênero com as mulheres de Monge Belo - MA

O artigo aborda o processo de cocriação entre designers e mulheres de uma comunidade quilombola e artesã, localizada no Maranhão. A partir do processo contemporâneo de design em criar narrativas situadas para a geração de autonomia em tais comunidades, relatamos uma pesquisa-ação realizada no intuito de produzir conhecimentos e significados localizados para parâmetros sobre superação da lacuna de gênero, estabelecidos em nível global pelo Fórum Econômico Mundial. Ao chegarmos perto da realidade do quilombo de Monge Belo, significados e imaginações de futuro emergiram a partir da cocriação de “coisas de design”.
