Spin polarization evolution in a boost invariant hydrodynamical background

    Get PDF
Relativistic hydrodynamic equations for particles with spin one-half are used to determine the space-time evolution of the spin polarization in a boost-invariant and transversely homogeneous background. The hydrodynamic approach uses the forms of the energy-momentum and spin tensors based on de Groot, van Leeuwen, and van Weert formalism. Our calculations illustrate how the formalism of hydrodynamics with spin can be used to determine physical observables related to the spin polarization and how the latter can be compared with the experimental data.Comment: 12 pages, 7 figure

Objective: To estimate bacoside A in Bacopa monnieri aerial parts using a validated TLC densitometric method. Methods: The content of bacoside A was estimated using standardized procedures. A standard curve was prepared by applying different concentrations of the marker. The estimation of bacoside A was achieved on precoated TLC plate using solvent system, i.e., toluene: ethyl acetate: methanol: formic acid (3:3.5:2.5:1) followed by scanning at 225 nm. The developed method was validated for the parameters described in the ICH guidelines. Results: The content of bacoside A was determined to be 1.13±0.019% w/w in B. monnieri aerial parts. The instrumental precision, repeatability, linearity range, correlation coefficient, intra-day precision, inter-day precision, limit of detection (LOD), limit of quantification (LOQ) and accuracy were found to be 0.61% CV, 0.87% CV, 150-900 ng, 0.998, 1.43% CV, 1.79% CV, 32 ng/spot, 92 ng/spot and 97.19±0.39% respectively. Conclusion: The developed method was found to be simple, economic, accurate, precise, and can be utilized for the quantitative as well as qualitative estimation of bacoside A in Bacopa monnieri.Â

Objective: The objective of the present work was to formulate and evaluate a stable, odour free garlic powder loaded floating matrix tablet for the treatment of peptic ulcers. Methods: A gastro-retentive floating matrix tablet (FMT) formulation of garlic powder (GP) was prepared using various concentrations of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose K4M (HPMC K4 M) and effervescent system (sodium bicarbonate and citric acid in 1:1 % w/w) to achieve desirable floating time (FT), floating lag time (FLT) and drug release. Wet granulation method was selected using ethanol as a binder for preparation of tablet. 32 full factorial designs were used for selection of suitable polymer concentration and effervescent system. Nonenteric film coating was applied to mask GP odour. Results: It was observed that FMT with optimum quantities of HPMC K4M and the effervescent system showed 97 % of drug release in 12 h with FT up to 10 h and minimum FLT of 3 min. There was no significant change in FLT, FT and drug content during the stability study of FMT. Conclusion: A stable, sustained release FMT of GP tablets using HPMC K4M and an effervescent system was successfully prepared. This formulation can overcome problems of taste and odour masking, gastric irritation, and loss of active constituents present in garlic

The sample of 90 respondents’ was collected for present study from Shamli district in Indo-Gangetic plain zone. Sugarcane tops were the main fodder crop from October to May months. The sugarcane tops were fed with mix of berseem or mustard cake or others concentrates from January to May. 31.11% respondents used wheat straw mixed with other green fodders followed by jowar, karbi, berseem and lobia as 27.77, 3.33, 2.22 and 2.22%, respectively. It was found that 28.80% animals were milch animal in study area. 38.88% of the respondents provided colostrums within 2 h of birth, 2–4 within hours and the placenta. It was also observed that 43.33% allowed suckling of their calf upto six months. However, 91.11% of the respondents did not dehorn calve. The adoption level regarding feeding practices of cow rearing was providing clean and fresh drinking water which have higher180 score (I rank) of feeding and lowest score was grazing which found only 17score (X ranks), followed 172, 103, 98, 96,102, 97, 69, and 47 score occupied the ranks III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII and IX, respectively. Out of eight practices included in adoption of calf rearing management practices, Feeding of colostrum to newly born calves within 2 h after the birth was the highest score and occupied (Ist rank). The II and III ranks were occupied by attending newly born calf and proper cleaning of mucous from mouth and nostrils 139 score and trimming of hooves 94 score, respectively. Lighting and disinfection of naval cord, regular deworming of calves, right time method of dehorning and right time castration were VI, V, VI, VII, and VIII ranks, respectively. However, such types of practices are followed for sustainable livestock husbandry in this area since long time

Antibacterial activity of ethanolic, distilled water and methanol extract of the leaves of Dalbergia Sisso (Roxb.) were studied against Escherichia coli and Bacillus licheniformis by agar well diffusion method. Results obtained showed that the growth of both E.coli and B.licheniformis were inhibited by all the three extracts of dried Leaf Extracts of Dalbergia Sisso (Roxb.). The antibacterial activity of these extracts against selected bacterial stains depends on the type of solvent used for extraction. The present study revealed that Leaf Extracts of Dalbergia Sisso (Roxb.) can be exploited for new potent antibacterial agents
