Valoração e Discurso de Outrem: Uma Análise de Enunciados de Alunos de Letras EaD sobre Disciplinas de Linguística

Este artigo apresenta um empreendimento teórico-analítico, que teve por objetivo analisar os enunciados de alunos do curso de Letras, na modalidade EaD, de uma universidade pública paranaense, em que avaliaram as disciplinas de Linguística cursadas. Os enunciados, corpus da análise, foram expressos em um questionário aplicado pelo Núcleo de Educação a Distância da universidade. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de natureza qualitativa, configurando-se metodologicamente como um estudo de caso. Circunscreve-se nos contornos das Ciências Humanas e da Linguística Aplicada sócio-histórica de base dialógica, tendo como principal alicerce teórico os escritos do Círculo de Bakhtin (1976 [1926], 1993 [1919-1921], 1998 [1975], 2003 [1920-1930, 1952-1953,1959-1961], 2006 [1929], 2008 [1929], 2015 [1930-1936]). Em resposta aos movimentos de análise dos dados, foram postos na centralidade os conceitos de valoração/avaliação e discurso de outrem. Como resultados, apresentaram-se duas regularidades, uma avaliação positiva dos alunos, considerando a importância das disciplinas de Linguística para as suas formações; e uma negativa, em vista da percepção da complexidade de seus conteúdos

Concepção dialógica de língua(gem) e multiletramentos: uma proposta didática com o gênero infográfico hipermidiático

Quais as contribuições, a criação e exploração de recursos didáticos elaborados por arte-educadores/as podem acrescentar para o ensino de Arte na Educação Infantil? Nesta reflexão, temos como objetivo relatar o processo criativo que envolveu a produção de recursos didáticos para ações com Artes Visuais na Educação Infantil. Tais recursos foram desenvolvidos em 2019, durante a disciplina de Estágio Supervisionado em Artes Visuais, realizada junto a estudantes de um curso de licenciatura em Artes Visuais de uma Instituição de Ensino Superior e um Centro Municipal de Educação Infantil. Os recursos didáticos criados por nós foram elaborados a partir das obras do artista brasileiro Aldemir Martins e levaram em conta as especificidades identificadas em uma turma, com 25 crianças entre 11 meses e 1 ano e 11 meses. Na descrição desse processo, primeiro explicamos as especificidades do Estágio Supervisionado em Artes Visuais e enfatizamos as contribuições que ações educativas com Artes Visuais podem conferir às crianças da Educação Infantil. Depois, relatamos o processo criativo a partir do qual criamos e exploramos um conjunto recursos didáticos, e analisamos as maneiras como as crianças do Infantil 1 interagiram com aspectos artísticos e estéticos das obras de Aldemir Martins. Consideramos, por fim, que as intervenções, estudos e avaliações realizadas durante o Estágio Supervisionado apontam para a valorização das formas de ampliar/diversificar as maneiras como são criados e utilizados os recursos didáticos que promovem o conhecimento em Artes Visuais e chamamos atenção para a potência educativa que o/a arte-educador/a pode acarretar à Educação Infantil

Traços da história do gênero discursivo infográfico no jornalismo impresso do Sul e Sudeste brasileiro: entre conservação e evolução

The infographic is a discursive genre that gradually gains space and capillarity in Brazilian print journalism, although its history is little explored. For this reason, the aim of this article is to analyze the permanence and change traits in the history of infographics in daily newspapers in the South and Southeast regions of the country, based on a corpus of 30 texts divided equally between the periods 1990-1995 and 2015-2020. It is a diachronic study and a qualitative research, which uses quantitative methods for specific purposes. We are theoretically anchored in the perspective of Discursive Traditions (DT), also mobilizing the discourse genre theory. As a result, we concluded that, by way of conservation, the DT of journalistic content, of objective language, of title, of infographic body, of detailing elements, of source, of authorship and of photomontage remained without significant changes between periods, while the DT of prominent appraisal, of lead and of finishing complementary and independent, even if maintained, they suffered a lot of changes between the time frames. In an evolutionary character, DT of digital design, complementary content and informal language appeared. Finally, DT of hand-drawn and of protoinfographic disappear from the socio- historical frame analyzed.O infográfico é um gênero do discurso que, gradualmente, ganha espaço e capilaridade no jornalismo impresso brasileiro, embora a sua história seja pouco explorada. Em razão disso, o objetivo deste artigo é analisar os traços de permanência e mudança na história do infográfico em jornais diários das regiões Sul e Sudeste do país a partir de um corpus de 30 textos divididos igualmente entre os períodos de 1990-1995 e 2015-2020. Trata-se de um estudo diacrônico e de uma pesquisa de natureza qualitativa, que emprega métodos quantitativos para fins específicos. Ancoramo-nos, teoricamente, na perspectiva de Tradições Discursivas (TD), mobilizando também a teoria de gênero do discurso. Como resultados, concluímos que, a título de conservação, as TD de conteúdo jornalístico, linguagem objetiva, título, corpo do infográfico, elementos de detalhamento, fonte, autoria e fotomontagem permaneceram sem expressivas alterações entre os períodos, enquanto as TD de valoração proeminente, lead, acabamento complementar e independente, ainda que mantidas, sofreram bastante alterações entre os recortes temporais. Em caráter de evolução, apareceram as TD de desenho digital, conteúdo complementar e linguagem informal. Por fim, as TD de desenho à mão e protoinfográfico desaparecem do recorte sócio-histórico analisado

Nursing Professional Self-Concept: A Scoping Review Protocol

Nurses are considered one of the largest professional groups in healthcare, generating positive health outcomes for people at various stages of life. A significant impact on the construction of the professional self—or professional self-concept—is considered to exist through the educational process, influenced by factors such as the family and societal expectations often presented by teachers, tutors, and peers. Improving professional self-concept in nursing can offer specific gains in personal, relational, social, and interpersonal communication skills, favoring evolution in the academic and clinical path. This scoping review aims to map the literature related to the state of knowledge regarding professional self-concept in nursing. This scoping review will follow JBI recommendations with the PCC mnemonic and report its findings through PRISMA-ScR using a specific instrument made by the researchers. Providing healthcare complying with high scientific standards requires the professional to have enough self-confidence in his work and skills. A new technique for testing distribution of knowledge and to estimate sampling sufficiency in ethnobiology studies

<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>We propose a new quantitative measure that enables the researcher to make decisions and test hypotheses about the distribution of knowledge in a community and estimate the richness and sharing of information among informants. In our study, this measure has two levels of analysis: intracultural and intrafamily.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>Using data collected in northeastern Brazil, we evaluated how these new estimators of richness and sharing behave for different categories of use.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>We observed trends in the distribution of the characteristics of informants. We were also able to evaluate how outliers interfere with these analyses and how other analyses may be conducted using these indices, such as determining the distance between the knowledge of a community and that of experts, as well as exhibiting the importance of these individuals' communal information of biological resources. One of the primary applications of these indices is to supply the researcher with an objective tool to evaluate the scope and behavior of the collected data.</p

Natural Products from Ethnodirected Studies: Revisiting the Ethnobiology of the Zombie Poison

Wade Davis's study of Haitian “zombification” in the 1980s was a landmark in ethnobiological research. His research was an attempt to trace the origins of reports of “undead” Haitians, focusing on the preparation of the zombification poison. Starting with this influential ethnopharmacological research, this study examines advances in the pharmacology of natural products, focusing especially on those of animal-derived products. Ethnopharmacological, pharmacological, and chemical aspects are considered. We also update information on the animal species that reportedly constitute the zombie poison. Several components of the zombie powder are not unique to Haiti and are used as remedies in traditional medicine worldwide. This paper emphasizes the medicinal potential of products from zootherapy. These biological products are promising sources for the development of new drugs

Intracultural Variation in the Knowledge of Medicinal Plants in an Urban-Rural Community in the Atlantic Forest from Northeastern Brazil

This study assessed the intracultural knowledge of the use of medicinal plants in an urban-rural community in an Atlantic forest fragment in northeastern Brazil. We examined the importance of native and exotic species and the effects of gender and age on that knowledge. We also compared data obtained from different groups of informants (local experts and general community). We conducted 194 interviews between June 2007 and January 2008, using the freelist technique and semistructured forms to collect ethnobotanical data. Information obtained from the community was compared with that from six local experts who participated in a survey in 2003. From a total of 209 ethnospecies, exotic and herbaceous plants presented higher richness. With respect to the number of citations, women and older informants were shown to know a higher number of medicinal plants. Comparing knowledge of local experts with that of the general community, we noted that experts know a similar wealth of plant families and therapeutic indications, but the community knows a greater species richness. These results indicate that local experts may provide useful information for studies that search for a quick diagnosis of the knowledge of a given community
