    Perbandingan Kemampuan Representasi dan Pemecahan Masalah Matematik Antara Siswa yang Mendapat Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dengan Siswa yang Mendapat Pembelajaran Penemuan Terbimbing

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematik dan pencapaian pemecahan masalah matematik antara siswa yang mendapat model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan siswa yang mendapat model pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing ditinjau dari keseluruhan siswa dan berdasarkan KAM. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen. Sampel adalah 50 siswa kelas XI MIPA yang berasal dari dua kelas pada salah satu SMA Negeri di Propinsi Riau. Kelas petama mendapatkan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan kelas kedua mendapatkan pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing. Kedua kelas diberikan pretes dan postes kemampuan representasi matematik serta postes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematik ditinjau dari keseluruhan siswa; (2) tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematik antara KAM rendah dari kedua kelas namun terdapat perbedaan pada KAM tinggi dan sedang; (3) tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematik antar KAM; (4) tidak terdapat perbedaan pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik ditinjau dari keseluruhan siswa; (5) terdapat perbedaan pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik antara KAM tinggi dari kedua kelas namun tidak terdapat perbedaan pada KAM sedang dan rendah; serta (6) terdapat perbedaan pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik antar KAM. This study aims to determine the differences of mathematical representation enhancement and mathematical problem solving attainment between students who get problem-based learning with students who get guided discovery learning in terms of the whole student and based The Ability of Early Mathematical (AEM). Type of this research is a quasi-experimental. Samples were 50 students of class XI MIPA derived from two classes at one of the senior high schools in the province of Riau. The first class get problem-based learning model and the second get guided discovery learning model. All class are given a pre-test and post-test of mathematical representation and post-test of mathematical problem solving. The results showed that (1) there is differences in mathematical representation enhancement in terms of the whole student; (2) there is no difference between low AEM of the two classes in mathematical representation enhancement, but there is a difference in the high and medium AEM; (3) there is no difference in mathematical representation enhancement between AEM; (4) there is no difference in the attainment of mathematical problem solving ability in terms of the whole student; (5) there is differences between high AEM of the two classes in attainment of mathematical problem solving abilities but there is no difference in the medium and low AEM; and (6) there is differences in mathematical problem solving attainment between AEM

    Pronunciation is focus on how to pronounce and produce the word. Students should be careful in pronouncing the word because in English there are some vocabulary that have almost similar pronunciation but different meaning. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Classroom Action Research is a method of finding out what works best in your own classroom so that you can improve student learning. Method which was used in this research qualitative method research. Based on the diagram above, the students’ score in doing the test in cycle 2 can be seen that the percentage of students’ vocabulary mastery after songs were they got 49,44 for pronunciation, 71,84% for spelling, 37,04 for Grammar, 68,80% for Meaning. From the explanation, it could be concluded that only two of the vocabulary components that reach the target of minimum standard score: Spelling and Meaning. Teaching vocabulary using songs is one of the alternative solution, that teacher can use to teach vocabulary to their students. It makes students more relax in learning new words and they can memorize them easily

    Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) merupakan salah satu bentuk pendidikan dengan memberikan pelatihan dan pengalaman belajar yang berhubungan dengan masyarakat, khususnya di dunia pendidikan. Kegiatan Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) bersifat aplikatif yang dilaksanakan guna mengupayakan suatu keterampilan kependidikan yang didapat di kampus agar dapat dikembangkan oleh mahasiswa di dunia kerja. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pengalaman kepada mahasiswa sebagai calon tenaga kependidikan. Adapun tujuan dari praktik pengalaman lapangan, di antaranya untuk mencetak calon-calon tenaga kependidikan yang kompeten. Kegiatan PPL yang dilakukan di Dinas Pendidikan Kota Magelang, di Sub Bagian Program meliputi kegiatan Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru online, Pembinaan Pejabat Fungsional dan Struktural Jajaran Dinas Pendidikan Oleh Walikota magelang, Kalender Pendidikan, Sosialisasi DAPODIK kepada sekolah Se-Kota Magelang, serta Pengadministrasian data di bidang Program. Kegiatan PPL ini mengarahkan mahasiswa kepada dunia kerja yang nyata. Mengenai penggunaan ilmu dan pengetahuan yang didapat selama kuliah. Gambaran mengenai dinamika dunia kerja telah didapat oleh mahasiswa setelah melaksanakan PPL ini. PPL yang dilaksanakan ini selain memberikan pengalaman kerja, juga memberikan pengalaman pelaksanaan penelitian. Penelitian yang dilakukan di lembaga pendidikan membuat mahasiswa lebih mengerti keadaaan nyata yang terjadi di lembaga pendidikan khususnya dalam hal evaluasi pelaksanaan program yang ada di Dinas Pendidikan Kota Magelang, mulai dari tahap perencanaan hingga tahap evaluasi, Program Penerimaan Peserta Didik baru secar online merupakan program dinas pendidikan sebagai bentuk inovasi pendidikan, karena program ini merupakan program yang masih belum banyak dikembangkan oleh kota-kata di Indonesia. Penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan ini membuat mahasiswa belajar bagaimana merumuskan dan mengevaluasi kebijakan yang baik. Seingga nantinya bisa menjadi produk kebijakan yang baik

    INFLUENCE OF THE ATTITUDE OF TEACHERS ON ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF VISUALLY IMPAIRED LEARNERS IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS OF RONGO SUB-COUNTY, KENYA

    Visual impairment has a negative impact on the learner’s ability to learn. In Kenya learners with visual impairment experience problems interacting with the learning environment just like other learners with other forms of impairment. The purpose of the study was to investigate the influence of the Attitude of Teachers on Academic Performance of Visually Impaired Learners in Primary Schools of Rongo Sub-County, Migori County, Kenya. The study was based on Bandura’s (1968) Social Cognitive Theory of learning which outlines the process of learning as a result of the surrounding environment. The study employed a descriptive survey design. The study population included 29 headteachers of public primary schools with the integrated program, 40 Special Needs Education (SNE) Teachers and 5 Curriculum Support Officers (CSOs) giving a total of 74 respondents. Purposive and Saturated sampling techniques were used to get a sample size of 29 headteachers, 40SNEteachers and 5 CSOs. Reliability of research instruments was done through piloting on 4 SNE teachers, 3 headteachers and 1 CSO in UririSub-County. Using the test-retest technique, a reliability index of 0.79 and 0.81 was attained for teachers’ and headteachers’ questionnaires respectively. The reliability test for the interview schedule was carried out by parallel-form reliability. The content validity of instruments was established by presenting the instruments to an expert for confirmation. Quantitative data was analyzed using descriptive statistics of frequencies, percentages and means and Inferential statistics of Pearson Correlation Coefficient and Chi-square. Qualitative data was analyzed based on emerging themes generated from the study objective. Data were analyzed using the Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS) version 22. Frequency and percentage tables were used to present collected data. The study established that there was a significant relationship between teachers’ attitude and teaching learning materials and academic performance at p <0.05. Therefore the null hypothesis was rejected and it was concluded that teachers’ attitude affect academic performance in Integrated Primary Schools in Rongo Sub-County. From the study it was recommended that teachers handling visually impaired learners should work on their attitude to improve the performance of visually impaired learners; teaching and learning materials that are relevant and appropriate should be made available to visually impaired learners in order to aid their academic performance. Research findings will assist in identifying appropriate teaching methods, teacher training, and a conducive working environment to boost teacher morale and adequate teaching and learning resources.  Article visualizations

    CaractĂ©risation de la translocation (12;13)(p12;q12-14) et l’insertion (X;6)(p11.23;q21q23.3) dans des leucĂ©mies aiguĂ«s pĂ©diatriques

    Par une stratĂ©gie de dĂ©pistage combinant le caryotype et l’hybridation in situ en fluorescence (FISH), une insertion (X;6) prĂ©sente chez des jumelles avec une leucĂ©mie myĂ©loĂŻde aiguĂ« (LMA) et une translocation (12;13) dans deux cas de LMA et un cas de leucĂ©mie lymphoblastique aiguĂ« (LLA) ont Ă©tĂ© mis en Ă©vidence. L’insertion (X;6) n’est pas rapportĂ©e et serait un variant de la translocation (X;6) rapportĂ©e dans 4 cas de LMA, dont un associe un gĂšne de fusion MYB-GATA1. Nous avons mis en Ă©vidence la dĂ©rĂ©gulation de l’expression de ces gĂšnes dans le cas d’insertion sans la prĂ©sence de fusion MYB-GATA1. De plus, dans le premier cas de translocation (12;13) identifiĂ©, ETV6 serait fusionnĂ© Ă  CDX2 ou FLT3. Le deuxiĂšme cas associe la dĂ©lĂ©tion des gĂšnes miR-15a et miR-16-1 Ă  une fusion d’ETV6 et le troisiĂšme cas impliquerait une fusion ETV6- FOXO1.By a screening strategy combining standard cytogenetics and fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH), an insertion (X;6) in twins with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and a translocation (12;13) in 2 cases of AML and a case of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) have been identified. Insertion (X;6) is not reported and could be a variant of translocation (X;6) described in 4 cases of AML, one of which is associated with a MYB-GATA1 fusion gene. We have identified the disruption of MYB and GATA1 in the insertion but no MYB-GATA1 fusion seems to be present. Other mechanisms could be in play for the disruption of these genes’ expression. Moreover, in the first case of translocation (12;13) identified, ETV6 is fused to either CDX2 or FLT3. The second case associates the deletion of miR-15a and miR-16-1 genes to an ETV6 fusion. In the third case, an ETV6- FOXO1 fusion seems to be involved

    Assessing the food preference of the brushtail possum (Trichosurus vulpecular) using fixed-ratio schedules

    The quality of different foods has been found in previous studies to effect an animal’s performance on fixed-ratio schedules. Foods that are of a higher quality should maintain behaviour to larger fixed-ratio values than foods of a lower quality. The present study examined the performance maintained by increasing fixed-ratio schedules by four different foods (Rolled Oats, Cocoa Puffsℱ and flaked barley, All Branℱ and Soy Protein) with six brushtail possum (Trischosurus vulpecula). Overall response rates and running response rates both generally showed a bitonic function, and post-reinforcement pauses showed a modest increase with increases in the fixed-ratio. The equations of two quantitative models; Behavioural economics and mathematical principles of reinforcement (MPR) were fitted to the data to see how different food types affected the two models ability to predict behaviour. This was measured through two parameter estimates, alpha (α) and specific activation (αs). Both demand equations and the MPR equation described the data fairly well. The parameter estimates for specific activation (αs) showed a significant difference in value across the foods, but there was no significant difference across foods for parameter estimates of alpha (α). There was a weak correlation between parameter estimates of α and αs (r =-0.245, p =0.0926) . The four foods used in this study were also tested in a paired-stimulus preference assessment. The foods that were assessed as being of more value in the behavioural economic equations and the MPR model, for some possums were identified as being more preferred, but this was not consistent for all possums

    Permasalahan yang ditemukan berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan observasi menunjukan bahwa pada mata pelajaran ipa pembelajaran yang dilakukan yaitu pembelajaran konvensional, sumber belajar yang digunakan buku paket/cetak serta pemberian Quiz online yang kurang interaktif  sehingga berpengaruh pada hasil belajar peserta didik. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Scramble berbantuan media video animasi dilengkapi LKPD Quiz berbasis games terhadap hasil belajar di SMP Negeri 2 Waingapu. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif komparatif. Terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Adapun tahapan penelitian : persiapan, pelaksanaan dan penyelesaian. Sampel  dalam penelitian ini peserta didik kelas VII D yang dijadikan sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 32 orang dan Kelas VII F sebagai kelas eksperimen sebanyak  32 orang. Teknik dan instrumen pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu Uji Validitas dan reliabilitas, analisis deskriptif, uji normalitas dan homogenitas, pengujian hipotesis yaitu uji parametrik (Uji-T sampel dependent) mengunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian dapat dilihat dari perbandingan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol 51,56  (pretest),  64,69 (posttest) dan kelas eksperimen nilai rata-rata yang peroleh 59,06 (pretest), 74,69 (posttest). Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan  uji dependent sampel t test yang memiliki nilai Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) 0,000 artinya nilai tersebut 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Scramble berbantuan media video animasi dilengkapi LKPD Quiz berbasis games berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik  kelas VII F yang merupakan kelas eksperimen  di SMP  Negeri 2 Waingap

Pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode petak gandadengan plot pengamatan berukuran 5x5 m berjumlah 27 plot.
