The z=5.8 Quasar SDSSp J1044-0125: A Peek at Quasar Evolution?
The newly discovered z=5.8 quasar SDSSp J104433.04-012502.2 was recently
detected in X-rays and found to be extremely X-ray weak. Here we present the
hardness ratio analysis of the XMM-Newton observation. We consider various
models to explain the detection in the soft X-ray band and non-detection in the
hard band, together with its X-ray weakness. We show that the source may have a
steep power-law slope, with an absorber partially covering the continuum. This
may be X-ray evidence to support the argument of Mathur (2000) that narrow line
Seyfert 1 galaxies, which show steep power-law slopes, might be the low
redshift, low luminosity analogues of the high redshift quasars. Heavily
shrouded and steep X-ray spectrum quasars may indeed represent the early stages
of quasar evolution (Mathur 2000, Fabian 1999) and SDSSp J104433.04-012502.2 is
possibly giving us a first glimpse of the physical evolution of quasar

Unusual echocardiographic finding leading to diagnosis of pulmonary sequestration
Pulmonary sequestration is an embryonic mass of non- functioning lung tissue that
does not communicate with the tracheobronchial tree and has a reported incidence of
0.15%-6.4% of all the pulmonary malformations. This anomaly is classified as either
intralobar or extralobar with the later variety lying outside the normal investment of
visceral pleura. The arterial supply is predominantly by an anomalous artery usually
arising from either abdominal or thoracic aorta, while the venous drainage occurs
commonly via systemic rather than pulmonary veins. Identification of the anomalous arterial supply has therapeutic implication because the majority of infants clinically present large shunt lesions attributed to these
channels in early infancy.
The diagnosis in such cases is usually established by computed tomography (CT), angiography, magnetic resonance angiography and conventional angiography. This article reports a 28 day old neonate who presented with features of large shunt lesion, in which echocardiography was instrumental in the diagnosis of a large collateral supplying the sequestrated lung.peer-reviewe
Management strategies and cost effectiveness in the prevention of cervical cancer
This paper introduces the burden of cervical cancer and the primary and secondary preventative interventions currently available, and provides an overview of the bivalent and quadrivalent human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines. A brief account of the virology and the clinical efficacy of both is given. Examinations of the two main types of cost analyses, cost-effective and cost-benefit, as well as examples, are presented in addition to the possible impact these analyses and further economic models will have on budget and policy making decisions. In general, most cost analyses provide support for the implementation of primary prevention strategies, HPV immunization, in conjunction with cervical cancer screening programs. Vaccination against HPV, therefore, is a cost-effective cervical cancer prevention mechanism
Drug utilization study in dengue infection in a tertiary care hospital
Background: Dengue fever (DF) is a serious public health problem, gaining global attention because of its morbidity and mortality. Less studies on Drug utilization pattern of DF in India. The present study was undertaken to analyze Drug utilization pattern of dengue infection in a tertiary care hospital.Methods: A prospective cross-sectional study was conducted for a period of 2 months in a tertiary care hospital and the data was analyzed by using various drug use indicators.Results: A total of 52 prescriptions were analyzed. Male and female were (46.16%, 53.84%), A total of 330 drugs were prescribed. 86 (26.06%) antibiotics, 70 (21.21%) antipyretics, 51 (15.46%) antacids, 19 (5.76%) multivitamins, 52 (15.76%) anti-emetics and 52 (15.76%) papaya leaf extract was prescribed. 84 (25.46%) oral and 246 (74.54%) injectable drugs. IV-fluids given to all patients. 10 (19.24%) were given blood transfusion. 6.17 drugs per prescription. 96% drugs were prescribed by brand names. High DDD for drugs like diclofenac (184), doxycycline (115), metronidazole (2.5), pantoprazole (161.5), rabeprazole (34.6), ondansetron (200) was observed.Conclusions: Most commonly used drugs are antipyretics, antibiotics, antacids, antiemetic, papaya leaf extract. As the incidence of DF is increasing with epidemics, demand for specific treatment guidelines is in great need. Early recognition of the disease, with a rational approach in case management leads good clinical outcome
Sequential two electron photooxidation of t-amines: generation of a regiospecific iminium cation and its application in organic synthesis
PET activation of cyclic t-amines, utilizing 9, 10-dicyanonaphthalene (DCN) as light absorbing electron acceptor in aqueous acetonitrile solution, leads to the generation of iminium cation intermediate involving electron - proton - electron (E-P-E) transfer sequence. Iminium cation generation is found to be highly regiospecific and depends upon the kinetic acidity which is subject to the stereoelectronic factor of the α -C-H proton of the unymmetrical t-amines. Tetrahydro-1, 3-oxazines (6) are synthesized in complete regio-and stereoselective manner from the PET activation of the substrates of type 4. Nucleophilic alkylation of 6 by alkyl Grignard reagents provides cis- α, α'-dialkyl cyclic amines (8). Similarly, chiral perhydropyrido[2,1-b][1, 3, 4]-oxadiazinone (11) is synthesized as a precursor for the synthesis of optically active α-alkyl piperidines. Both enantiomers of hemlock alkaloid coniine (13) are also synthesized. Furthermore, to broaden the scope of these reactions, precursor 16 is designed for the synthesis of various α-amino acids and their N-alkyl derivatives
The FASHION Visual Search using Deep Learning Approach
In recent years, the World Wide Web (WWW) has established itself as a popular source of information. Using an effective approach to investigate the vast amount of information available on the internet is essential if we are to make the most of the resources available. Visual data cannot be indexed using text-based indexing algorithms because it is significantly larger and more complex than text. Content-Based Image Retrieval, as a result, has gained widespread attention among the scientific community (CBIR). Input into a CBIR system that is dependent on visible features of the user\u27s input image at a low level is difficult for the user to formulate, especially when the system is reliant on visible features at a low level because it is difficult for the user to formulate. In addition, the system does not produce adequate results. To improve task performance, the CBIR system heavily relies on research into effective feature representations and appropriate similarity measures, both of which are currently being conducted. In particular, the semantic chasm that exists between low-level pixels in images and high-level semantics as interpreted by humans has been identified as the root cause of the issue. There are two potentially difficult issues that the e-commerce industry is currently dealing with, and the study at hand addresses them. First, handling manual labeling of products as well as second uploading product photographs to the platform for sale are two issues that merchants must contend with. Consequently, it does not appear in the search results as a result of misclassifications. Moreover, customers who don\u27t know the exact keywords but only have a general idea of what they want to buy may encounter a bottleneck when placing their orders. By allowing buyers to click on a picture of an object and search for related products without having to type anything in, an image-based search algorithm has the potential to unlock the full potential of e-commerce and allow it to reach its full potential. Inspired by the current success of deep learning methods for computer vision applications, we set out to test a cutting-edge deep learning method known as the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for investigating feature representations and similarity measures. We were motivated to do so by the current success of deep learning methods for computer vision applications (CV). According to the experimental results presented in this study, a deep machine learning approach can be used to address these issues effectively. In this study, a proposed Deep Fashion Convolution Neural Network (DFCNN) model that takes advantage of transfer learning features is used to classify fashion products and predict their performance.
