SIRIZWAN ZAUHAR, Hukum Internasional, Fakultas Hukum Universitas Brawijaya,Januari 2012, Perlindungan Hukum Terhadap Korban Kecelakaan Joy Flight Berdasarkan Undang-Undang No 1 Tahun 2009 Tentang Penerbangan Dan Konvensi Chicago 1944 (Studi Kasus kecelakaan Sukhoi Superjet 100 pada tanggal 9 Mei 2012), Ikaningtyas, SH.LLM ; Nurdin, SH.

A Study of Affordable Roofing Systems with Composite Slab

Affordable housing is a term used to describe dwelling units whose total housing cost are deemed affordable to a group of people within a specified income range. Structural roofing system contribute substantially to cost of construction of housing unit in normal situation, hence any savings attained in roofing system will reduce the cost of construction of housing unit. In the study undertaken, the roofing system consists of primary beams and secondary beams perpendicular to each other. The infill proposed is a composite slab panel consisting of decking sheets, galvanized iron(G.I) sheets of trapezoidal and corrugated cross section at bottom with a layer of concrete above it. The rectangular composite panelsconsidered in the study have a least width of 0.5m and 0.75m with an aspect ratio varying from 1.00 to 2.00. The rectangular composite panels are designed using M20 grade concrete and reinforcing steel of yield strength 415 N/mm2. The cost analysis is made for the roofing system and the proposed roofing system indicates a cost reduction 40% when compared to a conventional reinforced concrete (RCC) slab of same size. The weight of the beam systems and the panels are found to be relatively less and can handled easily by two to five masons thus reducing the labour cost. The beam systems and panels are precasted and can be easily placed thus eliminating need of shuttering, leading to faster construction of slab. The proposed roofing system is cost effective with a greater speed of construction compared to conventional roofing system

New approach to time domain classification of broadband noise in gravitational wave data

    Get PDF
Transient broadband noise in gravitational wave (GW) detectors-also known as noise triggers (referred to as triggers for brevity)-can often be a deterrant to the efficiency with which astrophysical search pipelines detect sources. It is important to understand their instrumental or environmental origin so that they could be eliminated or accounted for in the data. Since the number of triggers is large, data mining approaches such as clustering and classification are useful tools for this task. Classification of triggers based on a handful of discrete properties has been done in the past. A rich information content is available in the waveform or \ shape\ of the triggers that has had a rather restricted exploration so far. This paper presents a new way to classify triggers deriving information from both trigger waveforms as well as their discrete physical properties, using a sequential combination of the longest common subsequence (LCSS) and LCSS coupled with Fast Time Series Evaluation (FTSE) for waveform classification, and the multidimensional hierarchical classification (MHC) analysis for the grouping based on physical properties. A generalized k-means algorithm is used with the LCSS (and LCSS+FTSE) for clustering the triggers using a validity measure to determine the correct number of clusters in absence of any prior knowledge. The results have been demonstrated by simulations and by application to a segment of real LIGO data from the sixth science run. © 2012 American Physical Society

Contribution of Heat Fluxes on Cyclone Narelle as Simulated by a Mesoscale Model

    Get PDF
    - Heat fluxes from oceanic evaporation particularly latent heat is important to drive the formation and intensification of Cyclone Narelle. The research was carried out by introducing a mesoscale model, namely Weather and Research Forecasting (WRF). One domain with spatial resolution at 10 km was utilized in the model. The model involved significant physical parameters, e.g., Kain-Fritsch in the cumulus scheme, Yonsei University in the Planetary Boundary Layer scheme, and WRF Single-Moment 3-class in the microphysics scheme. The analysis focused on January 8th to 14th upon all stages of Narelle. The result showed that Sea Surface Temperatures (SST) higher than 26°C was a favorable environment for Cylone Narelle to form. Surface sensible and latent heat fluxes have strong positive correlation with wind speed and SST. It can be concluded that these variables were highly correlated with surface heat flux that further lead to the formation and intensification of Cyclone Narelle in early January 2013 over South Indian Ocean. The tracks and stages of the model are nearly similar to the observations, the differences are found in late phases of Narelle

The purpose of this research was to know the long weight relation, condition factor and sex-ratio lobster located in the east of Simeulue beach. This research has been done on February 2016 in floating fish cages, the trade collector located at the bay Sinabang, East Simeulue regency is the owner of the floating fish cages. The method of this research was a survey method. Lobster sample was taken 30% of the total lobster captured. It was carried out as many six times as interval five days. The results of this work were found two type of the lobsters which includes Paniluirus penicillatus and Panulirus versicolor composition with 53 and 47%. Based on counting of a long weight relation of Panulirus penicillatus found an equivalence W= 0,00372L 2,571 and Panulirus versicolor with equivalence W= 0,003276 2,609, the value b indicates both type of the lobsters has negative allomatrict growth nature. the average body weight relative value (Wr) and condition factor (K) both type of those lobsters, Panulirus penicillatus value Wr= 100,76 ±12,58 and value K= 2,25 ±0,35, whereas, the Panulirus versicolor value Wr= 101,59 ±16,41 and K= 2,15 ±0,42. Body weight relative of both type of those lobsters over 100 grams indicates that the east Simeulue beach still support for the lobster growth. Condition factor value shows both type of those lobster has the same scale. Based on the survey was found that sex-ratio of Panulirus penicillatus 1:1,04 and Panulirus versicolor 1,17:1. This case showed that the sex-ratio of both these lobsters still in the same ratio

Auxetic materials with negative Poisson\u27s ratios, display the unique behavior owing to their micro-structure or geometrical build. Auxetic materials resist deformities when subjected to uniaxial, biaxial, and shearing stresses. Cellular based materials are known for their excellent impact and shock energy absorption. When foams are incorporated with auxetic geometry, their impact energy absorption increases. Combination of auxetic materials with conventional materials yield semi-auxetic materials. Ideally, layered structures where facing materials are metallic sheets sandwiching polymeric foam cores are popular. The auxetic materials can be combined with conventional materials to obtain P-N-P and N-P-N semi-auxetic sandwiched structures with diverse potential in several applications like automotive, aerospace, sports equipment, and protective armors
