The research problem is presented as a comparative study of several proposed curricula, a first delimitation is to compare curricula. Surpasses logistics capabilities and dedication in time to take the matching curriculum of over 40 graphic design programs that are currently offered in the country, which is why the study was delimited on some basic characteristics: consider both public universities and private, think of old programs, middle and newly formed constitution, four universities were chosen with the above features. The conclusion is that the academic program of the CUN has a comparative advantage because it is raised in propaedeutic cycles, giving you flexibility and relevanceINTRODUCCION 12 1. An optimal gap theorem

    Get PDF
    By solving the Cauchy problem for the Hodge-Laplace heat equation for dd-closed, positive (1,1)(1, 1)-forms, we prove an optimal gap theorem for K\"ahler manifolds with nonnegative bisectional curvature which asserts that the manifold is flat if the average of the scalar curvature over balls of radius rr centered at any fixed point oo is a function of o(r2)o(r^{-2}). Furthermore via a relative monotonicity estimate we obtain a stronger statement, namely a `positive mass' type result, asserting that if (M,g)(M, g) is not flat, then lim infrr2Vo(r)Bo(r)S(y)dμ(y)>0\liminf_{r\to \infty} \frac{r^2}{V_o(r)}\int_{B_o(r)}\mathcal{S}(y)\, d\mu(y)>0 for any oMo\in M

    Three-dimensional turbopump flowfield analysis

    A program was conducted to develop a flow prediction method applicable to rocket turbopumps. The complex nature of a flowfield in turbopumps is described and examples of flowfields are discussed to illustrate that physics based models and analytical calculation procedures based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) are needed to develop reliable design procedures for turbopumps. A CFD code developed at NASA ARC was used as the base code. The turbulence model and boundary conditions in the base code were modified, respectively, to: (1) compute transitional flows and account for extra rates of strain, e.g., rotation; and (2) compute surface heat transfer coefficients and allow computation through multistage turbomachines. Benchmark quality data from two and three-dimensional cascades were used to verify the code. The predictive capabilities of the present CFD code were demonstrated by computing the flow through a radial impeller and a multistage axial flow turbine. Results of the program indicate that the present code operated in a two-dimensional mode is a cost effective alternative to full three-dimensional calculations, and that it permits realistic predictions of unsteady loadings and losses for multistage machines

    Spectro-microscopy of single and multi-layer graphene supported by a weakly interacting substrate

    We report measurements of the electronic structure and surface morphology of exfoliated graphene on an insulating substrate using angle-resolved photoemission and low energy electron diffraction. Our results show that although exfoliated graphene is microscopically corrugated, the valence band retains a massless fermionic dispersion, with a Fermi velocity of ~10^6 m/s. We observe a close relationship between the morphology and electronic structure, which suggests that controlling the interaction between graphene and the supporting substrate is essential for graphene device applications.Comment: 10 pages of text, 4 JPEG figure

    Analisis dan Evaluasi Kestabilan Tegangan dengan Metode Continuation Power Flow (CPF) pada Sistem Microgrid

    Full text link
    Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kestabilan tegangan pada sistem microgrid akibat adanya penambahan beban secara kontinyu sehingga terjadi ketidak mampuan sistem dalam mengendalikan atau mempertahankan tegangan pada masing-masing bus. Penyelesaian tugas akhir diawali dengan mengetahui aliran daya pada sistem dengan menggunakan metode “Backward-Forward Sweep” kemudian dilanjutkan dengan mengunakan Continuation Power Flow (CPF) sebagai metode untuk mengidentifikasi bus sistem yang paling sensitif mengalami jatuh tegangan serta mendapatkan nilai pembebanan maksimum pada masing-masing bus. Analisis dan simulasi kedua metode ini dilakukan pada jaring distribusi radial IEEE 33 bus dan IEEE 69 bus[1]. Efek daripada penempatan DG yang tepat dengan metode Continuation Power Flow (CPF) adalah dapat meningkatkan profil tegangan dan dapat mengatasi ketidak-stabilan tegangan, sehingga analisis dan evaluasi kestabilan tegangan dapat terlihat saat kondisi sebelum dan sesudah penambahan DG

    Field-induced nematic-like magnetic transition in an iron pnictide superconductor, Ca10_{10}(Pt3_{3}As8_{8})((Fe1x_{1-x}Ptx_{x})2_{2}As2_{2})5_{5}

    We report a high magnetic field study up to 55 T of the nearly optimally doped iron-pnictide superconductor Ca10_{10}(Pt3_{3}As8_{8}) ((Fe1x_{1-x}Ptx_{x})2_{2}As2_{2})5_{5} (x=0.078(6)) with a Tc 10 K using magnetic torque, tunnel diode oscillator technique and transport measurements. We determine the superconducting phase diagram, revealing an anisotropy of the irreversibility field up to a factor of 10 near Tc and signatures of multiband superconductivity. Unexpectedly, we find a spin-flop like anomaly in magnetic torque at 22 T, when the magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the ab planes, which becomes significantly more pronounced as the temperature is lowered to 0.33 K. As our superconducting sample lies well outside the antiferromagnetic region of the phase diagram, the observed field-induced transition in torque indicates a spin-flop transition not of long-range ordered moments, but of nematic-like antiferromagnetic fluctuations.Comment: Latex, 4 figure

    Extended axion electrodynamics: Optical activity induced by nonstationary dark matter

    Get PDF
    We establish a new self-consistent Einstein-Maxwell-axion model based on the Lagrangian, which is linear in the pseudoscalar (axion) field and its four-gradient and includes the four-vector of macroscopic velocity of the axion system as a whole. We consider extended equations of the axion electrodynamics, modified gravity field equations, and discuss nonstationary effects in the phenomenon of optical activity induced by axions.Comment: 6 pages, 0 figures, accepted for publication in the Journal Gravitation and Cosmology, reported at the 14th Russian Gravitational Conference (Ulyanovsk, 2011

    Stability and Hermitian-Einstein metrics for vector bundles on framed manifolds

    Full text link
    We adapt the notions of stability of holomorphic vector bundles in the sense of Mumford-Takemoto and Hermitian-Einstein metrics in holomorphic vector bundles for canonically polarized framed manifolds, i.e. compact complex manifolds X together with a smooth divisor D such that K_X \otimes [D] is ample. It turns out that the degree of a torsion-free coherent sheaf on X with respect to the polarization K_X \otimes [D] coincides with the degree with respect to the complete K\"ahler-Einstein metric g_{X \setminus D} on X \setminus D. For stable holomorphic vector bundles, we prove the existence of a Hermitian-Einstein metric with respect to g_{X \setminus D} and also the uniqueness in an adapted sense.Comment: 21 pages, International Journal of Mathematics (to appear
